I do not work because I am disabled, but on my way to doctors' appointments, and when I am at a doctor's appointment, I am always taking my rosary beads out and either praying the rosary, divine mercy chaplet, or the chaplet to Saint Gertrude for al holy souls in purgatory. GOD BLESS!😇❤🙏

There's one diner we go to because it's locally owned & they honor Veterans & First Responders. A waitress told us one time that customers have either overheard us asking to pay for a veteran's meal or telling the veteran that someone has paid for their meal as a thanks. She said they started having more people do the same. We also use our own take home dish (can't stand we still use Styrofoam & plastic containers). We keep a pyrex in a bag in the vehicles. We have also been told more people are doing the same. I think when people see others doing something they maybe never thought of, they try it/do it. It starts to spread a bit at a time. It would be wonderful to see this with prayer. I'm adding that to my routine. I should have a long time ago.

So my understanding of the message is: We should show our faith in actions but do good in general and help them connect it to Jesus.
You have some very good ideas. It reminds me of the line “Give us our daily bread.” It means we have to be thankful for the bread and we ask for the bread of life (sustenance of our faith) in order to be connected with Jesus each and everyday.
I don’t think any of you are being phony or ridiculous for praying in public, I find it to be very brave
