We are back in India. Well I am back in India. I've had to leave Nyh & Eleise at home and I'm travelling with my best friend Samuel to the North East region on India. North East India isn't travelled too much by foreigners as it's fairly difficult to move around with it's beautiful nature still very much preserved. Malaria risk was deemed as 'High' in the areas of Meghalaya we wanted to travel so I don't think taking Nyh would have been the best thing to do.
SO... We will be travelling to Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal to visit the Jungle of Meghalaya, the mountains of Darjeeling & the Spirituality of Varanasi all on this one trip. What could possibly go wrong?....
A captivating journey through time and culture as we delve into the heart of Shillong, India, to discover the enchanting Lewduh Market. With its deep-rooted history, vibrant atmosphere, and diverse offerings, Lewduh Market stands as a testament to the cultural tapestry of this picturesque city. Most of the vendors at Shillong's Oldest market are women, selling pretty much anything you could think of. What seems like miles and miles of tight alleys with hundreds of vendors either side. Lewduh almost seems like a town within a town. Amazing experience...

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.

@@parttimetravellingfamily it's the issue all over India.. That's one of the massive issues that comes with overpopulation..
I think what is really happen inside our state stay inside don't ...try to pop up it like that ....see the beauty of our state not criticizing....
😅😅
the young people of northeast look so amazing and very well mannered....can find there chinese, korean type but there are indians...i love northeast ...love from delhi
Very interesting Meghalayan even farmers, taxi driver, labourers, shopkeepers can communicate with foreigners very easily...the people are well educated n civilized 👌👌👌👌
Speaking english has nothing to do with Education or being Civilized, But yea we get your point.
@@hindurashtra63 you know that english is lingual subject in india and if anyone can speak english then he/she has done it's study minimum upto 10th so english speaking in india is also part of education.
@@hindurashtra63 of cource it does
One think from this video what i learn about meghalaya is that maximum people who run business are their own local people where as unfortunately here in our nagaland state 80 Percent of the people who run business are non local .
Very interesting... 🖤
Same here in meghalaya it's just that u don't see it
you are wrong ... main business is by non locals ... small business may be run by local people
Why is that?
Same here brother in assam also mostly non locals running markets
Happy to see you happy coming and experiencing our state. Thankyou ❤
Thank you for your visits. It's great honor for you to show us to the world.❤❤
so glad to see you back in India! Can’t wait to watch!
Hey guys… thank you 😊 we’re having trouble with this series not appearing up for existing subscribers. Did we show up on your subscribers feed, channel or your home page out of curiosity? 🖤🖤🖤
@@parttimetravellingfamily what you are saying is absolutely right in my case

Ohhh Bruv khasi people speaks better English than other mainland professors or civil service officers 😂😂😂
No exaggeration?
Yeah that's True
U should come n visit nongpoh sometimes
Yeah you are right Sir👍
I think I can agree on this statement
Hey Buddy😊
I'm delightful seeing you admiring our lovely state Meghalaya.
Keep it up buddy❤
Khublei Shibun for visiting our Meghalaya state🙏
I love your accent and thanks for visiting our place. Those sour berries came from a shrub called Myrica esculenta. Do visit again.
Aww! I'm happy to see you enjoy your time here. ❤
Loved it 🖤
Very proud of our tribe they can communicate with foreigners very well allmost all of them with ease ❤❤
Please do plan to visit a river that is absolutely pristine and clear....
And Bridge made of twisting and turning tress trunks over years ... a natural bridge made with trees. It is double decked.
The way you interact with people is fantastic. If you want to see & taste variety of places, people and foods visit Nagaland.
Next time you should try the very indigenous fruits like sohphlang, sohliang, riwar oranges especially from Sohra and other food like .
Tungrymbai,lungsiej
And still many more are there.
You are Welcome In Meghalaya .. I hope u guys have a Memorable Visit. . Come Again
Thank you Khublei and glad that you have highlighted the richness of best quality fruits
Only one sad thing is our govt is Corporate Centric and the proof is Pineaple recently had reached Dubai at 500Rupppees each in fancy boxes
At the source in Meghalsys Govt squeezed our farmers with Rs 12 Each.Minimum support price never respected and with cold storage on large scale potatoes vegetables in many occasion thrown away.
Unless farmers are given due respect ,no hope to rise no fear to fall.
If you could visit in winter time you could enjoy the world's best orange in the world as the 443km International border is Limestone area
Only problem is this orange blight in which scientists are mesmerised
Welcome again my friends
The farmers must be given a satisfactory price for their produce. They are the backbone of local economy.
Thank you for visiting our State.
Good day lad the tiny little nut you just had is called betel nut, and that actually you should have with three combination of betel nut, betel leave and a lime.. these are similar way of consumption like a Papa new Guinea people's , if you have ever visit Papa new Guinea. You will definitely know about it. Cheers lad.. hope you had pleasant visit to Shillong.
Happy to see you enjoying our authentic dishes😊
WOW Adventures Meghalaya.. Lovely Organic fruits...
The best 😊🖤
The first meal you had in the Khasi stall. The was bitter gourd, not cabbage. In South India, they are made into chips. They taste really good. And the brown one is Bengal gram.
That first location is "Motphran" meaning "The monument of France" and not Police Bazaar. Just for your information 😊😊
Thank you 😅🖤
