      @@TK_Trickster unrolled, perfectly modded enclave flamers have a low drop rate and thus, are rare. They sell easily for upwards of 15k caps regularly. I think 15k is steep but it happens all the time. I think the perfect price for an unrolled perfect modded one is around 4-5k caps. I can never keep them for long in my vendor at that price.

    I've always sold my plans and recipes for around 5 to 50 caps depending on the item. Playing the game gives me so many duplicates that there is no reason they need to be 3000 caps. I also set up next to the vault so new players can take a look and get a head start. Being kind isn't hard.

  • @MrSirMang
    @MrSirMang Před 10 měsíci +7

    All ammo sell at 1 cap. Don’t bother selling nukes or missiles as they weigh a ton and will likely sit there forever. Plans, outside of a few of them, are pretty useless. Even 10% on most of them is vastly overpriced. A few of the plans that will sell for a decent amount of caps include things like radiation barrel, radiation emitter, sbq plushie. Weapons need good legendary effects to be worth selling if it’s garbage perks it’s scrip, maybe a couple hundred caps. Enclave Flamer barrel is rare, you can easily sell that mod alone for 10k. Even chainsaws don’t have a high value as there are several spawn locations. Finally, hunters long coat will sell all day long for 6k. This video isn’t completely worthless but it’s not exactly helpful either

  • @trish6526

    I'm still a relatively new player and I also consider my C.A.M.P. location when setting my prices. I am set up just next to the Wayward where new players always end up. I don't price any plan over 5 caps, but I also don't have any plans that I would consider rare. Recipes are the same. Two to 5 caps each. I'm aware some people are probably just flipping my stuff and making a profit, but this seems to work for me.

    You are way off with some of your prices, I can get the dual bar and flaming mods for the chainsaw in a couple of server hops, which I have done several times and have given them away. But the Enclave flamer mod is incredibly rare, I run Watoga every time I change server and have found it TWICE this year, just the mod sells for 20k+, let alone putting it on a weapon and rolling legendaries on it. Someone would buy yours for 1500, then add a 0 before putting it in their vendor.. and it WOULD sell
    I understand what you're saying and for the most part I agree, but you have to be sensible. I have a high turn over of stock in my Vendor and will Max out several times a week, because I have reasonable prices

  • @hopspusher3052
    @hopspusher3052 Před 10 měsíci +10

    I agree with many vendors being generally overpriced. I don't necessarily agree with a 10% rule, unless you are trying to sell out quickly. It takes a bit of grinding to get good stuff to sell and to 'fire sale' them takes away from the effort.
    I sell all my recipes for 10 and my ammo for 1. Things like serums go for 300 each, because I had to finish the Enclave missions, then buy the plans, the get the materials to make stable flux. For me, there has to be a comfortable value relative to the effort as part of the pricing decision.

    • @xAfredKnotx
      @xAfredKnotx Před 10 měsíci +2

      This is because looted items are leveled to the player, so a level 50+ player only loots the max tier armors.When you find a lvl 200 guy selling or giving away lvl 5 leather 3 star armor, he more than likely crafted and rolled that to burn off modules, but it's kinda special cause he's thinking about helping the fellow players.

    As a fallout veteran that has been playing the game for about 3 years now going on 4 I always sell my items at least reasonable prices now if it's a god-roll I'm going to price it at what I believe would be a reasonable price but if I run across like low tier weapons and I feel generous I'll just put up mini legendary weapons for maybe a few hundred caps my plans always go for less than maybe a hundred or so depending on the ones they're buried and I really don't mind so call me a super generous person when it comes to playing fallout 76

    When I hit mid/high level I got lucky and got the plan for The Fixer for ~4500 caps? They're a great weapon to sink legendary into and sell whichever you won't use. Another that works great is handmades, they always tend to sell decently if they have any 3 star combo.

    10-50c for most plans. I don't sell weapons at all to tricky to price correctly. I do sell alot of Nuka Cola and prewar food and some of the harder to get camp items. As for ammo, if I see Fixer 45s at 1c anywhere I buy it. I can craft it, but buying is easy and need to sink those caps on something. The only time I pay high prices for things is at max or a truly new camp (lowbie), that has a few things for sale. I'll buy them out even if I'm going to dump everything somewhere else.

    As someone who has wasted hundreds of thousands of caps on mole miner pales that I've bought 5 at a time per sever hop, I will 1,000% buy a plan like a TV Aquarium for 20,000 caps just to get the plan and be done with it. Those prices are meant for veterans like me who rarely find something that we don't already own and are just happy to find something to waste caps on. I friend those people, just to check back with them from time to time. I know that most people won't buy plans that they feel are overpriced, so that means that I'm not wasting my time going to their vendor and checking.

    I sell cheap. My inventory varies whatever I find while exploring. I sell whatever good legendary weapons and armor I find at whatever the value says it is. Some sells whatever doesn't gets scripted after a couple days of being in the vending machine. Unless I end up finding a low level player to just give it to. I have visited some camps with some pretty outrageous prices on their items. The most I ever spent for one plan was 10.000 caps but I had been seeking this plan for a bit over a year when I found it and I had already had to pass it up once before when I had found it in someone's vending cause I just didn't have the caps to afford it. So the second time I found I was like screw it I don't know when I will find it again.

    Yeah on plans I sell anything common for cheap, no sense selling basic plans for so expensive that a newer player can't afford to fill out their plans, so most plans I sell are around 25 caps, with some few being a bit more expensive, weapon plans are 100 caps mostly. I don't pay ANY attention to the suggested price, it is more of where does the plan come from and how easy is it to get at the moment. I don't really sell weapons much unless they are good rolls on weapons I do not use. but I try to think about what I would pay for it when setting a price. Outfits, yeah the Hunters Long coat fetches a good price all day every day. SO does the plans for under armor when you can find them.
    Those camps you were at where they had shloads of plans all WAY over priced, those were dupers because not much other way you can get 25 of a specific rare plan. I generally avoid those vendors anyway.

      @@TK_Trickster they aren't getting ripped off tbh. The hunters long coat has sold for 10k caps steadily in the community since the game came out. I paid 10k caps for my first one years ago way back before I learned how to hunt for them. Now I sell them for 5k-7k caps and they sell usually before I switch servers. Alot of people don't even know how to find the outfits on the responder vendor bot. It is quite rare for most of the player base and caps are expendable and easy to get. Same goes for the enclave flamers, good ones with the best possible mods (unrolled) sell easily and steadily at upwards of even 15k caps. I sell my enclave flamers for 4,999 caps generally and they get bought immediately. Most of what you say I agree with though, although there are alot of rare plans worth far more than your average plan. As for super rare plans i usually share within my friend group and vice versa, Noobs to vending will definitely benefit from your video and possibly even some veteran players. It's a well made video.

      @@WhiZsKeRs but why do i even WANT 15k caps? To go buy bulk lead from whitesprings vendor bots? I'm ok on lead rn. From some player that probably needs them for something I don't at all. This is why I keep hearing new players talking about how they are buying items on some place online. Besides lol 15k is probably going to put me over at most times, I won't get the caps or I'll just have to go buy some dumb item from vendor bots that I really don't need. I don't get the money grubbing for caps, there isn't really anything exciting to buy anymore. I think just some people must enjoy different aspects, that's got to be it. Some people just really enjoy the market aspect the best? Everyone enjoys different things about gaming. That's got to be it, no one is agreeing, I don't understand it at all, but, it seems like so many people are for the high prices & it makes so much sense to them, when I don't understand it at all, when theres nothing to buy & theres a cap max. I dunno, I'm just trying to understand, not to rag on anyones good time.

      @@plethoraofpinatas Why lol you wanna make suuuure I don't care to buy anything? lol I promise I don't care about caps in my union with my auto axe with my enclave flamer & sniper & my secret service that I don't even think about because I'm always in power armor because I don't feel like I'm playing fallout unless I'm in power armor. Plus it's hard to even find a plan I don't have, when I was looking for plans, I went and got them, from player camps or vendors usually at pretty reasonable prices & I was on my way. Now I sell mine at reasonable prices or give them away to people I'm chatting with on my team. I dunno, people who sell high can do it if they want, I don't really care, I just don't get it & I suppose I don't have to. You do you.

    You/we are capped at 40k caps, so selling overpriced items you are actually losing money and not making money.
