Thank goodness Villa away is over and done with.
Exactly! a massive win for Arsenal. I can see other top teams struggling there.
Teams become more settled and sharp in the second half of the team when they have something to find for.
Haha emery continues to be a scary guy for the gunners..but its luckily over
U just don't know how I was scared of this
City and spurs away next
Villa away, Spurs away and Citi away are the first 3 away games . That premier league computer is fxxxx crazy .
Good to get those games out of the way because the second half of the season is always tougher especially with champions league. The home matches will be welcomed if they continue to build on strength to strength.
Spurs away is okay I think. City will be impossible almost
@@yaboydolphin I think arsenal beat city it will be less nervous game for them
I think it's better to go away to big teams before legue cup ,fa cup and champions league ,
@@user-gf3bp8bp8i they not beating city bro
Saka involved in all Arsenal goals this season so far? It's ON!!
Yet Foden is still resting and stones has barely played.

The two chances missed being discussed here by Walkins is exactly like last year. Aston Villa had not a single shot on target till 84th minute in last year arsenal home game. They converted their 2 chances after that. This year, Villa again got exactly 2 chances and Walkins fumbled. Arsenal fumbled all the chances last year but this year they converted 2.
Llkjytt
Villa created more than 2 chances, what game were you watching. Ramsey was clear through in the second half and missed.
@@ahmedzahra3711 I watched the whole game. Shooting from impossible angles between wall of defenders missing the post doesn’t qualify as chances.
@@Arazorbladei watched the whole game too, the stats speak for themself man, believe what you want but on any other day Villa scores two goals. Their xG was 1.81 to Arsenal’s 1.22. Their chances were better. Just take the win and run, nothing wrong with that.
What game were you watching, villa had two chances and none of them was as result of great play, the first one was likely going to be called back for a foul on Gabriel and the other was a deflection@@ahmedzahra3711
As a Gooner, l am happy we are playing City away and Spurs away when we have the energy
Revenge is a dish best served cold.......... The Arsenal 2, Villa 0.
No one is mentioning the first save Martinez made against Saka that could have changed the game immediately
Ollie Watkins dropped a stinker. Raya dropped a masterclass
He dropped TWO Stinkers...
The difference is when they beat us the second time last season, 4-2 or was it 4-nil...he didn't miss.
I think it's time for Trossard to be to be in the starting XI
It's like u don't watch arsenal games martinelli tracks back alot to help arsenal's inverted backs ,trossard on the other hand comes in when opposition defenders are tired and finishes the story but if starts he will get tired at half time quick
lol, every time Arteta thinks it is time to make Trossard a starter, he stinks up the game. He plays better off the bench.
Some players don't do well when we start them. His brilliant sub starting he struggles to score.
@DWiktor nah he was starting at the end of last season and did well. Better than martinelli anyways
@DWiktor nope martinelli was fit and was on the bench.
Thomas Partey is so clinical as a midfielder.
How explain it
@@GennySavastonethere’s no way you’re this retarded right ?
No he was off the pace on a number of occasions
Rodgers is such an impressive player
He was a thorn in our flesh. Gave our defence a really hard time

Rogers definitely superb play, had Arsenal in the grind.
No end product
Frank is spot-on, they did what they had to. not 100% smooth but well-deserved. Raya with that save was great. good game from them tbf
David Raya is there for that like any other players remember that
That Rodgers dude impresses me everytime I see him.
If Son can choose to miss a goal to stop us from winning the league, an arsenal fan like Ollie Watkins can miss a few.
Arsenal “kinda feel invincible”: an apt comment. 😊

Rough schedule for the first month and a half of the season for the gunners. Just glad to get a win and to see how talented and deep the team is right now. Thomas Partey has been a big part of what has got arsenal to where they are, glad he got a goal. Now COYG! Unleash Calafiori and Merino!
Villa’s chances came from unlucky moments. Villa Park is tricky for any teams. This Arsenal team is solid. This might just be the year for the gunners
What are you talking about? Villa had much more golden opportunities and an open goal denied. Arsenal's goals were nowhere near as clear-cut. They were half-chances at best, flukey even. Since, you will hardly ever see the ball go past Emi Martinez when he gets a hand to it, like on the weekend. Arsenal got lucky. Simple as.
@@temporaryuseraccount0012 a deflected shot that conveniently hits the crossbar and falls perfectly for Watkins and a foul on Gabriel that led to the first Watkins miss. Besides these 2 opportunities there was not much that was intentionally constructed by Villa. They were just playing counterattack football AT HOME may I add 🤷🏾♂️
Arsenal ,we need protect partey, in any way
The conversation would have been different also if Martinez didn't stick his leg out last year to stop Trossard.
These arsenal defenders can make arzenal go unbeaten ,they just need to have good health no injuries and clubs will curse arteta
"Clubs will curse Arteta" lol. They will fr 😂😂😂
Seriously very solid and to even think kiwior and tomiyasu are out
@okirooju3787 when they roll over for man city and put on they're subs
A different Arsenal from last season, at least they showed up today
Villa are gonna beat a lot of top teams , those 3 points are so important
That villa win felt like city win last year
They couldve scored 4. But Smith Rowe and Iwobi are now at Fullham. lol
what a joke 🤣🤣🤣🤣
After the first goal....we were cooking
Villa sat back at home ..when a good team does that they are bound to get a chance .
Its not just the fact that Arsenal are a well oiled machine. Its that teams do that thing against them, that they do against City. Dont let them score the first goal. You could see Villa players, and fans, at how frustrating it was for them that they conceded that first goal. It becomes psychological. Strikers feel like they have to put the ball into the corner of the net, defenders tend to try playing it out the back and make risky passes less. The fear of conceding that first goal becomes paramount.
The first big chance for Villa was a clear freekick to Arsenal. Would never have been allowed
Well spoken sir’s all of you have made my day better 😊
Funny how they all call it luck and Raya is still taking golden glove
Trossard probably deserves to start, but he is like a cheat code coming off the bench.
Martinelli is a problem now
Sad hiw far martinelli has fallen
Harvetz missed two chances against Wolves that Martinelli created he could be on two assists now... But I'll admit he wasn't on today. It's only game 2 of 38 surely he'll improve massively as the season progress
The game was pretty much comfortable for arsenal in large parts of the game. The two big chances Villa had weren’t out of a brilliant play from them. Overall we deserved the 3 points really.
Stop lying Arsenal created nothing and it was end to end
@@LilpokeballArsenal won. Period

What game were you watching, they should take that win and run, they’re very lucky to have won it. If Villa scores one of their clear chances it’s a very different outcome. But big congrats to Arsenal
@@ahmedzahra3711 and if Saka ball gone in? Or Martin ball too entered? You’re just picking if and maybe’s. Arsenal controlled the game well and didn’t give villa space with the goal. All Arsenal had to do was to score before they had the ball over 68% and villa didn’t look like much
Great game of football. Kudos to both teams. They were played with desire and passion. Ollie s first miss was poetic justice for me as Gabriel was fouled.
*Saliba appreciation post* 🎉🎉🎉
I think Trossard is the best arsenal player without any doubt
When ever this guy comes off he will contribute neither it's assist or goal
Odegaard is the best player, Trossard needs to up his overall performances when starting, that’s where he can improve.
@DWiktor💯 he's best off the bench as an impact player. Yes based on his performances he deserves to start, but he doesn't set the world alight when he does. Off the bench he's next level.
Ødegaard and Saka are the two best Arsenal players in my opinion. (Salliba comes third). You have to consider quality, consistency, availability and overall impact in the course of 90 minutes. Trossard is fantastic as a sub but not effective in the sane way when he starts
In terms of chances, Martinez made a touch save on a Saka shot and Odegaard missed a sitter. Arsenal have not fallen behind at any point in their last 10 away PL matches. Think about that for a second. And they are now 18-1-1 in their last 20 PL matches.
Odegaad should have scored
This chance isn't sitter bro. Look at bodies. How would you also call Watkin's First chance?
@@benjamindadzie9657Odegaard should have scored. He had just a defender and the goal keeper just in from of him.
Last week Saka had at 3 players in front of him while cutting into his left and still had another 3 plus the keeper and still scored with the area saturated with bodies, so why shouldn't Odegaard score?
I dont understand why pundit are staying Lucky. Villa didnt take their chances and Arsenal did. So you guys still wanma blame arsenal that villa missed their chances....what's wrong with everyone 😮
Lucky because for a forward of watkins’ quality, it’s not what you’d expect- missing two chances under no pressure with only the keeper to beat from less than 6 yards out
At any rate, arsenal made easy work of it and we didn’t really have to get into top gear either. These are the kind of games we should be winning comfortably
You just explained what luck is. They were lucky Watkins missed 2 open goal chances
@shashwatmittal5393 missed ONE. Rayas save was top class same way Martinez saved the first strike from Arsenal
@marioknight5937 the save was top class but Watkins should of headed the ball better and if he had Raya wouldn't have saved it so with saves like that of course the keeper deserves the praise but also the striker should of done better .
@@jackbauer5455 a miss is only a miss if its off target or if the ball is directed straight to the keeper, so it's only one miss. YES... its an GOLDEN opportunity but not quite a miss. Watkins did well because no keeper has any right to save that. It's hard to name another keeper in the prem who's saving that, so much so if we were to ask Raya to do it again it may even go in favour of Watkins. He headed it 3 metres away from Raya who was flat on the ground upon headed impact facing the opposite direction. Was there more of the target to aim for on the right side... yes. but trying to get more purchase to go wider whilst attacking the ball head on is difficult. It's always easy to say afterwards this player coild have done this better etc... which I get but I think this particular thing is just one of those things. it was just an incredible, unpredictable. I personally dont think (within the moment) that Watkins did much wrong - he got it on target, VERYYY good connection and well away from the keeper.
We need to keep the key player fit.
Watkins must be going through a lot of psychological torture due to chances he missed in this villa arsenal game.
Quick recovery.
Frank did not crottisize Saka 😂😂😂
Arsenal has passed through the Villa bridge which all teams will visit

Nicol has said everything. That analysis is spot on
I’m tired of people saying Trussard should start. His attitude seems to be that he should start. However, he doesn’t have the pace of Matinelle to stretch the opposing team. Plus overall he is not as mobile as Martinelle, and doesn’t get back to help the full back cover on defense like Martinelle does
Massive win. Villa is the third most difficult match away after city and Liverpool. Dont want to mention our London rivals becouse they s***.
TROSSARD IS SUPER SUB
I've watched Talksport and now Espn Fc and they're all discussing Villa and the chances they missed no Arsenal and what Raya and Arsenal did in the game, what a shame bcoz the Arsenal hate is here again.
I'm a Gooner and yet I don’t think we did as well as the pundits are saying. It's pure luck that we didn’t go behind and we didn't really start to play until after the Raya save. This was more a 'winning even when you didn’t play that well'.
We desperately need a ball playing deep midfielder. 30% of our possession is the centre backs passing to each other and looking for an opening to only go back to raya or occasionally move the ball to rice/partey.
Partey is past it and rice doesn’t have the line breaking pass in his locker. We need a prime Jorginho type player there
@@shashwatmittal5393right 100%
a decent cm is needed
True we didn't play well & most players were on their off day, thank God that lunatic Emery got McGinn/Watkins out
@@shashwatmittal5393
Arteta should address these issues
1. Slow transition between defense/attack.
2. Players like Saka/Oddegard holding the ball for so long!
3. The curious case of Martenlli
4. A clinical finisher is needed
Emery is a great tactician but the way he gets his teams to sit deep in big games is why he’s never made it at a big club.
Missing a sitter or saving a goal isn’t part of the game? Don't we often see that? But as it is about arsenal so all the luck things are roaming around. Oh! These pundits! Double standard at its best.
Watkins killed Vila today.. .
Havent lost so far this yr, well done guys ...
Try an keep pace all season again this yr
DEFENCE NEEDS BE UPGRADED. ONE THING I NOTICE WITH PEP HE OPERATES WITH AT LEAST 6 HIGH QUALITY DEFENDERS
Where is Shaka Hislop, we want him to explain his prediction yesterday. Saying Villa will win comfortably
TP5 is Under Rated
I just love to hear Stevie comments on this 😂
What a performance by our team.
David Raya twice saving us.
Trossard is coming off the bench, and he took his goal typical Trossard.
Partey was so quiet, and then he broke his shell with a low strike finish.
Nicol is saying nice things about us?
We will go to tricky away games in the PL and can win them, then we can win the PL title.
with the sale of douglas luiz villa showed their lack of ambition they are weaker than last year
I liked each of those 9 touches Calafiori took on the ball. Couple of those were outstanding fwd passes. If he and Merino (hope his move is ON) has this forward-passing mindset then arsenal have improved 2x with respect to xhaka on the left side
Well done Craig Burley for the right prediction😂❤
I don't like the way the guys discuss the chances missed as 💯 Watkins mistakes. No one mentions that Raya had a lot to do with the saves. Give Raya the respect he deserves. If that was Ramsdale all these fools would be singing his name, maybe calling it a save of the season
Villas chances came from Arsenal’s early season mistakes, another 4-5 games and those mistakes don’t happen, Arsenal were miles the better team and deserved their win.
Stevie and Frank both had excellent careers, instantly get respect from others due to their success and their views and opinions are definitely worth listening to, Ali however...... was just a footballer. He seems to be an ok bloke but he does irritate me sometimes, I can't put my finger on what it is but he just does....... sorry.
Under Arteta every team that beat Arsenal the season before Arsenal beat them the following season
When was chances became 3 points Arsenal are becoming invisible. Give Cesar what belongs to Cesar . Arsenal could hv scored 4 goals . So the two missed chances didn’t matter
Exciting match , Watkins was not good enough in front of goal
Still need top striker. Havertz should score two if he is top finisher. I mean he play well, but not finishing some half chances put the team on the pressure.
Watkins only score when not expected
Dan always try to direct the witness when it comes to Arsenal or RM.
Good win!
Should have been down 2-0. Had no real action in attack until Trossard saved the day. They will challenge but still room to improve
Good Walkins didnt score because there was an infringement leading to that opportunity
i have seen trossard start hes pretty bad when he starts on the LW, and is better starting as a CF.
if u gonna play him LW play him off the bench
If Arsenal continues playing like this…. City have NOTHING to worry about
Arsenal is solid but the reason they loose is based on mistakes. I’m not professional but arteta should capitalize on the defense why these mistakes is happening
Martinelli is really missing xhaka
Villa away is the one step we need

If Watkins could hit the broad side of a barn, it would’ve been a different story. Frank was absolutely right, a little luck is needed to win a title.
