Before WW2 it was known as Rališkių ežeras. Klaipėda has: Kauno street, Debreceno avenue (Hungary city), Reikjaviko street (Islandic city). But havent seen city name used for street name. If city had only one lake, then people could just refer to it as the lake, and everyone would know which one they were mentioning. I like when there are some streets relating to other places, like some city having Klaipeda street, when my city is Klaipeda.
