Just bought an official PSIO. Thanks for the installation video. You made it look pretty easy. I've never cut a trace before (on my model I believe there are only 2 to cut) and wasn't sure how best to do it. Incidentally, someone on Reddit installed this in a PSOne! It looked like they removed the board in the parallel pack and mounted it internally!
Thanks, i must say i would have found it way more difficult without the help of the microscope it really gave me the confidence in cutting the traces. Interesting fitting it into a psone il need to check that out.

I can no longer enter the memory card manager in bios even after removing psio cartridge. What wire is causing this fault? It stuck on the orange sony diamond screen.
I would maybe check there is nothing shorting but its hard to narrrow it down to a specific wire without seeing it.
@@Pixel_Fix i have updated to psio build 23(from build 3) and can now boot into bios memory card manager (no cd drive option). I'll figure out about the wire later.
Is this the AliExpress $8 dollar one? Is it 100% compatible with all titles? Full speed? Worth getting this or xstation?
Not tried every title, from what ive read the xstation is better on the compatibility from but then you have to remove the cd drive.
Is it still possible to use the disc drive after a PSIO install?

The only thing that bothers me is that with the clones you get from ali express you can't upgrade the firmware
That's right. XStation wins.
As far a i know they stopped putting out updates on the offical one to though this may have changed.
Right Now is posible the upgrade. Look for CZcams.
Maybe instead of music. start commentating what you do. Good job tho.

How big is the sd card? What is the biggest sd card it can handle
The official one can use upto 1tb

This is an update 2020 for a crack version of the firmware a russian site but i cannot register since capcha is in russian.
If you buy the grey one by cybdyn
the psio itself is garbage i own one and have for a few years
it is a pain and poorly built and there never seems to be an update even though it was promised
