also i love how when you first interogate Loose Lips he passes out and batmna is a little dissapointed in himself saying "damn". Then when you interogate the thug in the boiler deck of the penguin ship batman acknowledges and says "this worked batter then the last interogation". Also after defeting electrocutioner batmen doesn't tie him up therefore he escapes. After that batman makes sure to tie the rest of the assassins up after defeting them. you can really see batman improve as the storry progresses

@@BMoneyYTB Because you're literally wrong. Everyone knows batman doesn't take any stance in the arkham games because it's an intimidation tactic (and to look cool), one that was adapted to the Shadow of Mordor/War games for that exact reason. EVERYONE knows that. How would it be less attention to detail if he literally has animations in the other games? It's clear is intentional, and it's clear you don't understand these stuff. What sense would it make for them to just forget batman's stance animations in THREE GAMES in the combat system created to portray mastery of combat?

Arkham games are focused around Batman and Joker, in Asylum we saw a generic batman story with joker being the main villain [ It was great but that's not my point], in City we saw Jokers end and how it affected Batman , in Knight despite there being Scarecrow and Arkham Knight we saw the struggles that batman had while being infected with Jokers blood and how he redeemed his sanity and locked Joker in a cage and sent him away and in Origins we obviously see why the asylum was reopened but we also see the origins of Batman and Jokers relationship and how Joker got so attached to Batman.

Orgins did something that I feel none of the others really got right: the Detective side of batman. Sure in the other games he tracks down people and solves riddles, but this whole game is about one big mystery that the world's greatest detective has to solve. It really seems an omage to the bat's orgins in the comics as a crime fighting detective, not the arkham knights interpretation of brute in black (that said knight is my favorite of the series so) but I really wish some of this games mystery could carried over. Maybe having the player piece together a shocking revalation that it was Jason under that mask, and suprising him with the fact that we knew. Idk, but I love orgins alot and don't understand the hate it gets for trying something different

For me this is the best Arkham game. Firstly, I find the story truly unique and interesting compared to the others, as it deals with the moral conflicts faced between Batman and Joker and Alfred, it really makes you realize the consequences Batman’s lifestyle has on his allies. As another comment put it “the other games show you what it’s like to be Batman, Origins shows you what it MEANS to be Batman”. Additionally, I feel that this game has the best set pieces of the series, with the snowy and misty settings adding a rejuvenated vibe along with the fact that the game is long enough to make each area not too repetitive. For example, being in Penguin’s ship and then later being in the tower fighting Bane the first time never feel old or worn, as the other games had done. City really does rush it’s story and throughout I’m thinking “ugh, this part again”. With origins I have no such moments. And as much as people may hate on it for not adding much to the series mechanically, it wasn’t obligated to. It was a filler game but IMO exceeded the others in its own style. Lastly, the biggest weakness of the Arkham games is how is any villain other than Joker going to be the main villain? Simply put, none of them can. Joker is everything; resourceful, chaotic, entertaining, imaginative, no other villain could fill that role in a game and it’s why he is a main character in all 4 games. Overall, I love Origins for having a great, more in depth story than the other games, a familiar system for stealth and combat, a big and beautiful variety of set pieces that always feel like I’m going through them the first time, and the amazing boss battles. In my opinion, Origins was City on a bigger and less restrained scale

    2. Batman: Arkham City (9.8) Even though I really enjoy this game, the map design and eh/forgettable side missions hold it back from being a 10 for me.
    3. Batman: Arkham Asylum (9.4) Repetitive gameplay, bad/eh boss fights, really bad end game, and an empty world hold this game back from having a better score.
    4. Batman: Arkham Origins (8.7) Even though I really love this game, things like forgettable/eh side missions, really dead world, really boring end game, poor traversal, and being kinda buggy hold it back from being a 9+ game.

    1. Arkham asylum - loved the creepy atmosphere of the asylum, almost felt like Batman’s version of bioshock 1, story was well paced not too many plot lines going on. The story felt the most focused and actually felt like it took place in one night.
    2. Arkham city - improved on all the gameplay from Arkham asylum, made Batman himself feel less stiff and more agile. Story was good but not as well paced as asylum, felt a bit convoluted. For some reason I didn’t find the environment as interesting as asylum. But it had a great opening and ending.
    3. Arkham Knight - easily had the best gameplay out of all the Arkham games and still graphically looks good to this day. But it had a lack of interesting boss fights, scarecrow was great in asylum but felt like they didn’t know how to use him in this game. A lot of the side missions were kind repetitive.
    4. Arkham Origins - not a bad game I liked how they used some of the characters but it did just feel like expanded DLC for city, and for some reason the combat felt worse. Story was interesting at first, but after the joker reveal it started to feel like asylums story again, especially the last mission in black gate.

I think the “dungeon” design was lazy. Like for example, the copperhead dungeon was: walk into a room, open the door, go up the elevator, predator section, slowly walk back as you’re poisoned, and boss fight. That’s not a dungeon that’s a linear path. And all the other interiors besides the Royal Hotel and maybe black gate are nonsensical. I can’t imagine that being a real environment, like the main GCPD office area is stupid, unnecessary ladders, weird cubicle placement and….. gargoyles? why? Visually yeah it’s fine but it’s weird. Bane’s base is probably the most jarring, like you enter, and it’s an empty room with a grate. And that room is treated as important as it’s being guarded outside and I assume they go in there to get the venom treatment. The grate is the only way to enter the base and it makes no sense.

Conroy brought emotion to the character in the animated series, but since then it's just been lifeless, almost phoning it in

I discovered (probably not first but I had never heard it before) that if you listen to one of the blackgate escapees he'll talk about how he's being hunted by captain boomerang, there's also a joke about the "batarang" that Batman throws but that's kinda secondary.

I was going to say something about how I love Origins, after watching the video ad such. But something just keeps bugging me about the last two main games in the series after replaying Knight, and this isn't a tested hypothesis but I'm going to put it out there, and I think it's the passage of time in the games, or lack thereof. Namely, they got bigger in story scope and map scale, but still sticking to the "in one night" concept. Asylum is set on an island, City is set in an enclosed prison wasteland, both with stories in one night. Origins was really cutting it close, and that's with me giving it some leeway due to being on Christmas right after the winter solstice. But Knight is where I think this fully kicks in, with a story and setup that I think really should have been at least a week in-game time. Like, compare and contrast to Spider-Man PS4, where things like the Sable outposts are gradually introduced over the game, for example. That's my rant, thank you for reading it.

Batman is a metal head so he would be blasting some cannibal corpse while he rides in the batwing.

the way i see it is that the arkham series focuses on the relationship between batman and joker. that’s what the games have been about anyways. this game is the origin story of batman and the joker. that’s the way i see it anyways i may be wrong
