We’re excluding things that happened in the movies because we already had plenty to work with. Oh and we won’t even be touching on some of her wardrobe choices…Remember the time she bails on her friends for guys? how she’s always super stubborn and an inconsiderate smoker? Samantha was 100% the best character. She was kind, confident, open minded and knew exactly who she was and what she wanted
She did make a trans phobic and classist comments in the episode about trans women working outside her apartment.
Yeah, but Charlotte did that more than anyone else. At least this just one example from Samantha.
Joolban Obviously that's so wrong, but that was deemed "okay" at the time. I just recently watched an episode of Jersey Shore the other day from 2010 and every cast member blatantly made fun of a transgender woman and it was supposed to be the joke of the episode. Thankfully today most people know better and are more educated on the topic and we are more open minded as a society but that wasn't always the case and this is just an example of that
nah fam the best character was Miranda. A down to earth, hardworking and independent woman. Then comes Samantha
@@mely5516 I 100% eith you. Samantha could be judemental sometimes and pushed her sex life in thier faces
I think guilting Charlotte into giving her money for her house deposit is one of the worst things she did. Absolutely appalling
Absolutely, especially as she had $40,000 in shoes in her apartment, refused to sell them on the basis that she might wear them at some point.
Agreed. Before you take money from other people, you bust your butt to see how you can help yourself. Carrie didn’t want to sacrifice and felt entitled to someone else’s money.
Acting like Charlotte was the d**k!
Girl forgot boundaries to Charlotte like bruh 🙄
Big gave her money, Sam and Miranda offered, and she was still like nah let's go after the one who doesn't want to give her money
The way she treated Aidan TWICE was unforgivable.
I wanted Aidan to cheat on her so bad
@@mariehardwick6823 dont worry hes better than that
@@mariehardwick6823 Or just to dump her.
Wasn’t he about to cheat on his wife with Carrie in the movie
@@newona4313He did technically cause they kissed in the second movie
What really pushed it over the edge for me was when she invited Big to Aidan's country house. She cheated on Aidan with this man and then Aidan somehow sees something in her worth forgiving and takes her back! She not only continues to be friends with the man she cheated on her current boyfriend with but she invites that man to her boyfriend's home. That's sick. That's like emotional torture. I get that they're all adults and everything but I'm an adult and I would never do that to someone and if someone did that to me I would immediately break up with them. That should have been number one.
It was very sick and the lowest of lows in her character. That entire scenario made me so disgusted with her.
That was truly shocking.. Lol then i thought maybe its normal for some people.. But that's not something to do
... and didn't appreciate that because Aiden loved Carrie he let Big stay.
Being an adult doesn't mean we have to forgive people for blatantly cheating, claiming to be friends with the partner in cheating and then keeping on cheating.
Omg that pissed me off so much
big wasnt afraid of commitment..... he was just afraid of committing to carrie
Yes... And the script writers just tried to sell it as 'real' and romantic love when it was quite the opposite of that...
Omg mind blown!! Never thought of that your soo right! Just thought he didn't really want her pass sex since he was married to Natasha so he can commit.
THANK YOU!!!!!!! Big wasn't an asshole. Carrie was insane.
stuff they were both assholes, honestly
'Cause she always acted like a child...
As series progressed all the girls evolved except Carrie! Miranda became more confident and learn to trust men, Samantha gave a chance to a serious relationship and learn to respect other people's choice to get married and have children and Charlotte learn that it's not about having a "Mr perfect" but a more meaningful marriage. Carrie stayed self absorbed, stubborn and stupid. And for a writer she SO ignorant about art.
Exactly! I love the ending of the show - Charlotte finally gets what she deserves after all the struggles she went through (I think Harry is perfect for her), Miranda understands the meaning of her family to her (the moment when she’s bathing Steve’s mom and Magda walks by is heartbreaking) and Samantha finds herself in a situation that she probably didn’t see coming, but made her so happy.
And Carrie? Carrie gets together with Big. Is it six years ago again?
Maria Merika preach girl!!!
YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT!!!! I loved SATC but only for Miranda, Charlotte and my Fav Samantha💜 I really hate Carrie
Agree so much. Everyone changed except Carrie.
Towards the end I couldn’t stand Carrie, loved all the other characters
Another one is when Carrie had that party to celebrate her book, she persuaded Samantha to go (even though she had a chemical peel and her skin was sore), and when Sam arrived and felt confident despite her skin, Carrie was so rude to her! Just thinking that Sam would affect her image and told her to leave! 😡😡😡
Horrible. And bailing on Miranda after eye surgery just astonished me.
Yesss I just watched that episode last night , she made me so mad
And when Samantha removed her hat Carrie said “you’re scaring everybody!” And “nooo the hat was good!” Ugh so rude and disgusting!
And when Miranda hurt her neck and asked Carrie for help, she sent HER MALE BOYFRIEND, AIDEN (who was a sweetheart but was completely inappropriate), he found her naked in the bathroom. I felt so bad for her.
I would say a publicist who arrives at their client’s book launch with her face like that is the one in the wrong in that situation.
When she stalks Big and his mother at church 🙄
That was super cringy.
That episode actually pissed me off. Then has the nerve to get mad that he only introduced his mom to her as his friend.
I cringed
Unforgivable.
CREEPY...weird Miranda went. Something Charlotte would do. Miranda would have said F off to Carrie on that caper!
Really when you think about it, why wasn't Sam the sex columnist? It would make more sense.
Because people like to talk about things they dont know a lot about, lol
A lot of viewers thought this was the case. Carrie is self-absorbed and childish: Samantha could actually give out useful sex tips: she has has sex in a sling, had sex with with older and younger men, had a sex relationship with Sonia Braga, used a strap-on and multiple dildos.
I think even tho the column is called sex and the city, it's more about relationship at the end of each story, it's not just about sex. and Samantha barely knows anything about relationship.
Hahaha!!! Good point!!!!
Samantha also knews about relationships, remember that perfect phrase, "I love you but I love me more"...
Something I never understood was how the hell Carrie was a sex columnist, she had such a childish personality, it's hard to believe she actually knew anything about sex or relationships. Carrie was one of those people that never matured with age, she had no depth, there was no character development ... she just got older. People like that become irritating.
True...really Samantha should have been the columnist....
I’ve thought this myself recently. Probably went to college and thought she had a bunch of hot takes on things. Whether or not she did is a different story
Her childish personality is very important to the script and her character arc. It was very intentional. Even her bizarre clothes reflect that. The opening credits with her in a tutu pretty much establishes this. I think she shows some sign of growth in the movies, but only some.
YES! That is how i always felt about Carrie! Other girls go through character development, Miranda has a kid and learns that family is important, Samantha starts a serious relationship and Charlotte commits to an ugly but amazing guy and converts to judaism for him :) meanwhile Carrie is just... the same! And wins at the end, what the hell?!
@@19moira90 Aww, don't say that about Harry😖. Lol.
Kim Cattrall deserves every Emmy going, because she was able to convincingly act as if she liked Sarah Jessica Parker whereas in reality she hated her guts.
I think that every time I rewatch the show!
@@goldenovaries thank you for confirming what I've long suspected! I've always gotten bad vibes from SJP. I'm still surprised a seemingly-nice guy like Matthew Broderick ever married her. No accounting for taste I guess
I remember one episode in particular where I really hated Carrie. She went to California to see Big, and talked Samantha into going with her. She kicked Samantha out of their hotel room while she was showering because Big was coming over, and she "needed to get laid." Some friend
She kicked her out of the BATH TUB!!! Lol it was cruel
Right? She couldn't have just given her an hour to relax, dry her hair, get dressed & primped so Samantha could actually enjoy a night out...she had to kick her out right then.
Also, every character on that show was overly accommodating. If someone ever tried that on me (no one would...) I would just say "So? I really need a bubble bath."
After that terrible train ride too
And after all that, Samantha bought them plane tickets home, plus some Valium for Carrie.
I had a friend, now ex friend, that essentially did the same to me. I went to visit her in her home country after she encouraged me to do so. She took me out on the town and then abandoned and stranded me because she "needed to get laid." Being a young woman in an entirely unfamiliar country, late at night, being told..."Don't worry...the guys that work here are nice. Just ask one of them for a ride," just after I had endured a deeply traumatizing sexual assault attack and beating was awful! I felt unsafe. She often abandoned prior plans in favor of a guy too. Our friendship was short-lived.
Natasha was a perfect lady when dealing with Carrie in that restaurant
when I was a teen I thought Natasha was so stuck up and vengeful. Now I am 30 and I think she had some nerves of steel not to pinch Carrie's eye out with a fork, lol)
Yup, you really do change perspectives with age! Comes with maturing and what not~ I mean, how would you feel if the woman that has been having an affair with your husband for months, whom you caught in your own apartment and who not so indirectly caused you a serious injury, just crashed your lunch and basically demanded forgiveness, and it is obvious that she only wants to make herself feel better? (Also, Natasha didn't know that at the time but Carrie wrung the info on where she was lunching out of her assistant. Stalk much??)
+Katerina Bulatova
Yasss!!! I remember watching the original airings when I was in college and I loved Carrie and hated Natasha. Now that I'm older it's the other way around. Carrie was such a spoiled narcissist. I think I would've stayed married to Big just to spite her, lol.
Didn't really like Natasha, but that doesn't excuse what Carrie did to her.
The show was ment to be extreme and not like boring real life everyone is complaining it was ment to take us away from real life which is boring and it did get over it lol
I've always hated Carrie. She's the worst clichés of women and for some reason she's marketed as this forward thinking feminist idol. Samantha was the best in the show. She was the best friend, most supportive, never judgmental, and most secure with herself.
Definitely. In real life, Carrie wouldn't have 3 friends that stuck around that long. She'd probably have friends at parties or people to go out to drink with, etc.
Samantha was always pushing her views on other people even if she was not judgemental. And she overshaded a lot and was pretty smug. So she would be grating in a long term.
Samantha is definitely the best, but it is hinted many many times that she was the most insecure of them all. Also, Sam with a married man -that she wasn't even in love with, like Carrie was- and no one blamed her for it. All the girls are great, but Carrie gets so much hate just for being the realistic flawed human (anti-)heroine.
Plus, really??? Carrie was the most judgemental? Miranda was definitely judging anyone who disagreed with her. Samantha prude shamed everyone else and especially Charlotte, and Charlotte slut-shamed Sam so many times, while Carrie defended her.
unlinedwork Well said!!!!
I hate how they made Samantha to be a “fake friend” in the new show. Samantha literally gave a Miranda a spa day and babysat her kid, never judge Carrie for cheating and she often drops everything she’s got going to attend to her friends’ needs. Samatha was always there for the 3 of them even though they were judgemental of her lifestyle.
Carrie was the selfish/self-absorbed friend who doesn’t sends her bf to help a friend in times of emergency, and expects everyone to attend to her needs and understand her side the whole time.
It would’ve been better if they killed off Samantha’s character instead of making her a bad friend
#1 Her squeaking screams
#2 Her need to be the center of attention (usually a man’s)
#3 How she monopolizes the conversation and will always find a way to steer it to her “problems”
#4 Her terrible puns
#5 Her lack of self control and ability to think about other people’s feelings (Aiden ahem)
#6 She’ll say something messed up to someone and then act all shocked if they snap back
That being said, I think we hate Carrie so much because we all have some of these annoying traits to some extent
Well said...but why is Carrie so annoying 20 years later???
@@dianaparker4807 At the end of the day, she's a brat.
#1 🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂😂
I HATED her scream!
#7 Her irrational self-righteousness (e.g. trying to make Natasha feel guilty after sleeping with Big [while Big and Natasha were married], and telling her while mearing a slutty dress)
Lets be honest, we all watch this show for Sam and Miranda.
EDIT: wow, thanks 4 the likes! I hate Miranda at first, but then life gives me some Miranda situations and then I can understand her a little bit more. That's why I can relate with her. But yes, Sam is the best!
Yes! And Charlotte. I always admired her quiet courage.
Miranda was great until they ruined her with that baby
Yes!! I hadn't realised till now.
Facundo Iglesias only Sam. I did not like Miranda
Nope, I liked them all!!
She’s horrible and annoying. A very selfish friend, and a clingy girlfriend. And those screams... I only kept watching the show because of Samantha!
With the squirrel! There are hundreds of squirrels in NYC.
I watched episode with Natasha. Carrie cant believe that Natasha hates her. I was so annoyed with that Carrie's behavior. After that I started to hate her.
I watched for Miranda and Steve they were so cute!
@@justagirlandherphone Even Aiden was visibly annoyed the second time she shrieked at the squirrel.
I just started watching this with my gf and Carrie is awful. The other three all compliment each other great, and Carrie just ruins the show.
Yes, I always wondered why Carrie was considered so popular when to me she was just self centred. Samantha was truly authentic and made the show. It should’ve been called “Samantha and the City”
But can we talk about the time Big got her the TV in the bedroom so they could watch black and white movies like they did in the hotel, which was a very romantic and thoughtful gift, and she completely flipped because he didn't get her some diamonds? I hated that so much, what an entitled brat
Or after 10 years of back n forth, they finally marry and after only 2 years she is complaining that she is bored. AND she kisses Aiden in Abu Dhabi!!! She is never satisfied!
@@rachellevazquez2230 Wanted to be wined & dined, flowers, gifts every day. Seriously wtf did Big get out of that relationship/marriage? Nothing. Couldn't even relax in his own home. She was nagging, needy & selfish.
She didn’t think so. Neither would I. Why do people think their view should be universal?
@@justmee6583Big deserved her and Carrie deserved him . They are both toxic and should be kept out of other people's lives.
@@justmee6583 the sofa they had was the most awful thing. who could relax in that sofa.
I never liked Carrie but the way she treated Aiden was the last straw for me. He was such a great guy. Most women would kill for a guy like him.
I know I would!
I think most women have treated badly a good man, at some point in their lives. I know I did lol
Same here! I couldn’t believe she did that to Aiden
@@jhens38 you took the words out of my mouth
@@Konstance001 Bad the way she treated him? No. You can speak as to your own personal experience but don't lump in the majority of women. It's never good to paint any majority with such a broad brush, in things outside this anyway.
Her reaction to big when he had a minor procedure was literally ugly crying, and on hearing about Sam's cancer news she is kinda unfazed. Phony . Samantha was way more important than Big.
YEAH! I couldn't agree more
Damn, that's a very good point. People react to negative news differently, but it's uncomfortable that she'd feel more for the guy who treats her like crap than her close friend that has supported her for years.
I agree SO MUCH but in (maybe not carries but someone in her positions) defense I think it’s because Samantha is so strong that in carries mind it’s easier to act like it’s not a big deal. I’ve done the same thing, bc if I broke how I actually felt- ugly crying all day every single day would happen. with Big it’s more like.... omg what if you die!!!! I couldn’t handle it!!!
With sam it was more of “you WONT die because you CANT die because I would die too”
Yes!! I was upset with that! And she says her friends are the love of her life!
Samantha is a much stronger person and doesn't like people crying or making a fuss (she even won't let Smith hold her hand). Big was different - he was the love of her life and he was having Heart Surgery, which is huge! Trust me.
Can we also talk about when she wanted Big to say "I love you" and he wasn't ready so she sleeps with someone else, then he calls the next day and says it. Then she has the gall to go "I decided that anything before I love you didn't count" we all know if Big did that to her she'd call it cheating and be RAGING. In fact this is something she still never told him.
I don't think she slept with that guy, but I'll agree that it was immature and manipulative of her.
Julie Erin She kissed him and entertained him... Big and her were exclusive at the time
@@julieerin115they might not have, but it’s not like she actively made sure they didn’t. They didn’t by chance, not by choice
That bullsh*t bagel incident, even after Miranda confronted her and Carrie apologized saying, “I’ll never send a boyfriend to…” she goes on to say, “if I still have a boyfriend,” and accomplishes what she came here to do: talk about Aiden.
Awful, terrible, just horrendous!
Plus how she uses Stanford as a gay best friend prop but excludes him from stuff just because he's male
Its Stanfford 😊
It was very hurtful to watch!!!
Yes YES!!
He also used her to get his grandmother's inheritance.
Susie Q but they talk about it and Carrie agreed to helped him
I hated when Samantha got a chemical peel and still came to support Carries book launch. Carrie was so mean about how burned she looked.
Elizabeth Bryce or, when Carrie put that letter over Charlotte's engagement ring and said, "Paper beats rock." That would've been the end of the friendship for me, right there.
@@yolandaponkers1581 oh shit... WHAT???? That's an ass whooping.
TheGoddess AmongYou You haven't seen that scene?! Omg it was so awful of her!!
Elizabeth Bryce, especially because Samantha didn’t want to come and Carrie guilted her into coming. Then she told Samantha cover up she was scaring people.
Elizabeth Bryce exactly. And Sam was the one that put together that book launch party for Carrie....for FREE (when she could’ve easily charged her). Carrie then guilted Sam into coming after Sam told her she was in painful recovery from something she had done. Then Sam gets to the party and Carrie did nothing but talk about how bad Sam looked. What a horrid friend she was
When she was pissed that Charlotte didn't offer her the money!!! That was a deal breaker for me
Right? She spends all her money of SHOES of all things, and gets pissed when her friend won't bail her out? WTF
I've always hated Carrie, she's frivolous, self-centered, and I'm sure Sarah Jessica Parker must be exactly the same for all the things that Kim Catrall has told over the years about the hell she lived through because of Sarah Jessica; Sarah envied her because even though Carrie was the main character, Samantha was the favorite of the public, and she made the other actresses to ostracise her, Kim always ate alone and cried from time to time in her dressing room ...
I totally agree!!! I felt so badly for Kim Cattrall!! She was the fan favorite and SJP couldn't handle it with her over inflated ego!!
SJP ensured that Kim Cattrall had to do loads of topless scenes, while she herself never did any. I thought that Kim had always been OK with that, that it was her choice but apparently not.
This series was all about Carrie
Im pretty sure Sjp didn't want her character to evolve
The only thing she cares about is herself and mr big
Even when Carrie was with Aiden she was still thinking about mr big
Now that Carrie is married to Big can we finally cancel her
exactly, and now i know why i couldnt watch this series before....something was wrong and now i know what marketed feminist idol Parker was instead the real one Samantha, the best!!!
Kim everyone loves you even now and Just Like That you are better off not being in that stupid show Sarah’s Carrie character seems even more self absorbed and old and not sexy at all more snob than ever
Yes imagine that a wife would hate the woman who had an affair with her husband. I get that Big is responsible for his failed marriage but she's an idiot for being upset that Natasha hated her. Natasha has every right to hate her. She owes Carrie nothing!
Seriously. I don't know why Carrie bothered.
@@krissyfandubs2 it's her being narcissistic & not wanting to be seen as the "bad person" & having everyone like her, even the woman who's husband she had an affair with knowing he was married.
Her apology was fake & only meant to make her feel better about herself.
Big screwed up more but its insane to think she could come out of it looking squeaky clean or bff's with his ex wife
People, you do realize that these are fictional characters and the producers take dramatic license? Enough said.
DeathBeforeDecaf the fact she said “I can’t believe there’s a person in NY who could hate me that much” really points to her own narcissism.
Kathleen Mitchell yeah we all know that but I think the anger is directed at people who are like the characters in real life. It’s not as if there aren’t plenty of “carries” out there who are homewreckers, selfish, narcissistic bitches who somehow are still convinced they are always the good guy or the “victim” in every situation...even when they most often then not are the perpetrator or the bad guy.
Most tvshows emulate real life (to a degree, and some more than others of course) not to mention their were real writers, people, who felt Carries actions were justified...because if they didn’t they would have had her ask forgiveness after her bad actions, have her show remorse and show her growth as a character. But, no, carrrie stayed the same...they felt she didn’t need growth because they meant for her to be the “perfect” main character so carry was always shown in a good light...rarely ever in the wrong. So I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the shows writers were “carries” themselves!
Remember when she threw a fit at Aidan for buying her a new computer? What a brat. I would've dumped her right then if I was him. The way she continuously mistreated him was the absolute worst of Carrie Bradshaw. But I agree that she was also a crappy friend, that time when she demanded that Charlotte offers to loan her money was especially cringeworthy.
SimplyLex She was never happy with anything unless she was getting our way. She made a weekend in the country like she was in the Jungles of Amazon. LOL!
Her way lol !
Yeah remember that one. Definitely cringeworthy. What drove me nuts was that Carrie invited Big to Aiden's country house after everything that had happened and Aiden is sooo incredibly nice (too nice) that he lets Big in
It wasn't about that Charlotte really would give it, but just the words would've been enough. She couldn't bring it to even to say such thing. Of course she wouldn't get it. But you know for comfort sometimes you do need to hear that. So for that I did understood the reaction of Carrie... well each his own perspection
Offering to give your friend a large sum of money for something important to them when you don't really mean it and have no intention of honoring your words makes you an even crappier friend, not a better one! Charlotte did absolutely the right thing. Give me an honest friend over a fake friend any day.
The #1 should be the part with Charlotte. Carrie was the WORST here. She spent each and every dollar she earned on extremely expensive shoes, and then expects Charlotte to take responsibility for her choices. It was extremely nice of Samantha and Miranda to offer to help her, but no friend should be expected to give such an amount to a friend. Carrie behaved as if Charlotte HAD to help her. And her sentence about Charlotte not needing to work - that's none of Carrie's business.
I think the worst thing about her (and the best as a character) is that she trully thinks she is a good person, with flaws but with a good heart but in reality she doesn’t even realize she is not. She is overall selfish, narcissistic, vain and empty but she doesn’t take care of that, even when she knows has screwed up or hurt someone. And it’s smart and brave from the writers to portrait a main character like this because many people is like that, is human after all.
"You "have" to forgive me?" Excuse me???
I know right? This was one of the cringiest scenes Eveeeer...🙄😬
That pissed me off so much. He didn’t have to do anything
I think what she meant was "if you want this relationship to work & continue then that will require you to forgive me", and if he didn't want to do that, then it was always going to be something hanging over their heads.
@@LoLPunky exactly. I agree he should've just kicked her spoiled, wannabe Prima Donna, extra ass to the curb. Still, if you are going to be with someone who did you dirty in the past, you shouldn't keep bringing it up if you want it to work. If you want to punish them and rack them with guilt, by all means.
That irked my nerves
Aiden was way too good for Carrie. No question.
Nicole San to the chez The more I paid attention to their interactions I was not a fan of either one! Carrie was stubborn and selfish BUT Aidan was controlling and a bully - he demanded she clean out her closet to make room for his crap (which he should have put in storage instead of crowding up her space). Bad Match for both.
Exactly. He didn't accept her for who she was. He made her do things he knew she didn't like. It was a poor match.
Maythe Garcia
Can you blame him?
Nicole San to the chez he should’ve left her ass in the alley with her fallen, half cigarette.
@@Maythebonita never apologize for that😉el hecho de que lo intentas es buenisimo, sé orgullosa!!! 💪🏽
Carrie’s extreme narcissism, entitlement and vacuous empty life is what drove this show. Flawed characters is what audiences want to see.
Not true. I watched it for Samantha. A little bit for Charlotte, but mostly for Samantha.
Carrie was the definition of self-Entitled, clueless, egocentric and self serving. Samantha and Miranda were the true stars of that show.
10 reasons why Samatha was the best
GLORY H YES we absolutely need that list Sam was always my favourite 👌🏻😁
That would be a 10 part series lol I’m ready.
Aww YEAH!
yasss! and Miranda!
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
The worse is also when she was dating "the Russian". He told her distinctly he was working a huge art project and he needed privacy to work on it. So what does she do? Brings her drunk friends to his place. And even when he tells them they are welcome to hang out, but he can't join them because he is working, she gives him shit. I was like WTF Carrie, seriously????
blacksnk and then she complains in Paris when he’s trying to work and out together a huge show. She knew he was there for work, but then pouts when he won’t entertain her? Horrid.
@@barbarahultman3699 Totally! If a male character behaved this way, he would be accused of beign ''unsopprtive of woman's career'', ''selfish'', ''controlling'' etcetera but somehow Carrie got a pass?
She was too old to be that stupid with the Russian. He clearly needed somebody who was young and dumb. There are lots of those out there. Hell, most of us have BEEN that young and dumb at some point. 🙋🏾♀️ 😂 One thing that always bugged me about Paris was why didn’t she ask him (or the hotel staff) to call the restaurant and tell them she couldn’t make it? She knew where it was...how hard would it have been to get the phone #?
The fact that she quit her job, and left her friends for a man with more issues than Big made no sense. You do not subvert yourself for a complete stranger. It bites you back in the butt. It unraveled pretty quickly.. and then suddenly Big who is also in Paris when she and the Russian broke up, he tells her she’s the one..
she was in Abu Dhabi and ran into Aidan and he kissed her.. well they were both married. If they had shared kisses on the cheeks it could be considered a good bye between two old friends, who have obviously moved on to their prospective lives.
She made situations and men out to be more than they were. You can’t force someone to be The One. Either they are or they aren’t.
And Aidan was hot.. sweet and considerate. Not many boyfriends would buy your apartment building so that you aren’t left homeless. He was too good for her.
Carrie was such a hypocrite. She gives Samantha a lot of crap over being gullible after Richard cheats, but what about when she cheated on Aidan? She’s the only one deserving of a 2nd chance? Plus she’s upset Sam doesn’t read her column. What a narcissistic. How much does she care about the other girls’ jobs??? Ugh Then she tells Burger her & Aidan didn’t hurt each other enough ‘the first time’. WHAT?
He never did anything wrong to her.
Just watched the whole series again. 2 things really annoyed me
1 how she treated Aidan
2 how self centred she was talking constantly about her problems, demanding attention while her friends had bigger issues e. g Miranda struggles when the baby was born and Carrie just talked about her review. Only when friends told her off, told her to stop, she finally focused on them a bit
When 6 month old Brady wouldn’t eat and Miranda was really concerned and Carrie quipped ‘maybe he’s anorexic’ did me in, if I were SJP I would have refused that line
I would have dumped her right away when she said "I can't stop seeing big, he is part of my life now". She was never willing to sacrifice anything or at least compromise in some situations.
Saad Keen yep that’s a dealbreaker. How could he trust her?
She is easily the worst human being.
Hi dear
@@jandtfurman5192 yep
@@omieg89 she's a play girl
Also in the movie she blamed Miranda for ruining her marriage over a random comment after Miranda was cheated on.
Nadia M yaaaasssss
She did had a right to be upset over it.
Miranda deserved it though.
@@susanjohnson7709 No, she didn't. Miranda made an offhand comment in a moment of anger after her boyfriend cheated on her, and Mr Big, who is supposedly this older, mature, intelligent guy, actually it seriously and didn't consider that Miranda was speaking out of anger.
Susan Johnson I disagree Susan. Big had been married 3 times before. He told Carrie that he wanted their wedding to be about the two of them. She began adding guests to the guest list, and the bridal gown became more elaborate. It was all about her, which is why he got freaked out and bailed. For her to blame Miranda was selfish and single minded of Carrie. It was her fault. She made Big out to be more then he was. Aidan was too good for her. Even in Abu Dhabi he compliments her.. she didn’t even deserve those after the way she treated him. She had her pick of the litter.. and picked the worst one.
"I can't believe there's a person in New York that could hate me that much." - There are so many more around the globe, honey.
What about when she stalked Big after she found out he takes his mom to church on Sundays? The man wasn't perfect, but he just wanted to space. Why follow him?
Wait...from what I’m reading...she cheats on her boyfriend 2 TIMES and then expects him to just *give her an apartment HE bought?!*
Who dis bish think she is?!
Skylie she cheated on him multiple times. She and big had a full on, meet-in-shitty-hotels-during-lunch affair. It lasted several months. They both knew what they were doing and did it on purpose because they both liked the thrill.
Aiden dodged a bullet
Carrie is ugly inside and out. She is my least favorite character. She has no emotional intelligence. Selfish, self centered, but also self destructive as well as a liar and cheat. No man deserves this confused loser.
She only cheated once But then supposedly was friends with Big. She didn't deserved Aiden
And when she married Big, she was such a nag.
Carrie was the worst. She was a horrible friend to the others. Aiden was way too good for her. She deserves Big. If they kept it realistic, Big would end up cheating on her and she would end up single again. In the series they should have called her out on her selfishness way more often.
I support this but then she'd be whining incessantly to the other girls demanding attention, and they'd be suffering for her drama and self-importance. personally, i wouldn't put it past them if they just say "you can't sit with us!" and just abandon this toxic person who i honestly can't remember doing any genuinely good thing to any one of them.
No. In reality a person like Big (which there was nothing wrong with him) would've stayed single until about 55 and then he would've married a Miranda. An intelligent, whitty, professional who didn't mind working long hours and enjoyed being a homebody and no kids.
For some reason I always hated aiden idk why
Or heck her friends should stop being friends with her.
@@fourthgirl Naw, Big would marry a trophy wife...and then another...and then one younger than his (fictional) daughter...
He would never have given a quirky Carrie type a second look, no way-
She finally marries Big and can't be happy staying at home! Still wants to run around town like teenagers
Totally! Never happy wah wah wah
Triple LIKE!!
Lol she was also angry because big got her a tv.
Also she has terrible taste in men ... especially when she got mad at the guy who was in AA and was like “why won’t he date/kiss me” ... umm cause he’s in a program trying to better and change his life
Carrie was obnoxious, self-indulgent, narcissistic and just flat-out annoying.
SeasonsChange14 that’s the shows target audience.
She always sounds like she is whining
At least, she was real though.
Jessica J if you think carrie is real you need help
guachipiruli all of them were. They were all genuinely themselves.
I remember a scene where Carrie met a man who seemed too good to be true. She was left alone in his apartment for some reason so she hunts for clues to something wrong about him. When he comes back he finds Carrie on the bread using cutlery to try and break in to a wooden box she found in his closet like a woman possessed. She was sure that there was a dark secret inside the box. It turned out there wasn't and that he was just really was a nice, genuine guy.
Carrie really is a stalker, she stalked Big's first wife, then Big and his mother in Church, going through that guys stuff to prove he wasn't perfect, she stalked Natasha after she left Big and again when Big died and she stalked Aiden because she wanted him back. Her behaviour is so creepy and she has no boundaries whatsoever she should come with a warning label saying toxic
In her twisted mind she was super sure the guy was a freak with no reason at all, and desperately looked into his things breaking his intimacy when he was kind enough to trust her by letting her stay in his room.
Carrie has serious problems.
That man was so cute.
Yup, I remember that. TRASH 🚮
@@paranoidgal3802I just watched the episode today, her reasoning behind it was from Miranda; they went on the double date and Miranda thought his friend was a freak for never leaving Manhattan, and she told him you can tell a lot about a person by who their friends are.
I’m not justifying it, she is crazy, but that was how she justified it.
I couldn’t, for the life of me, understand anyone’s fascination with this show and the praise SJP got for this role. She was so damn irritating, living selfishly lavishly and blindly. She lived in a perfect world with zero consequences.
I watched this series in my late teens/20’s. I recently watched the whole thing again, plus the movies. Totally different perspective as a 41 year-old woman. Carrie is that selfish, neurotic friend who never grew up. She was 35 when the series started, and I can’t imagine thinking/acting like her when I was that age. I viewed her as neurotic when I was young, but now I find her completely un-relatable and cringe-worthy.
“Look you didn’t even bring cream cheese”
Now that’s the real betrayal
Disney Lover 100%
Exactly! Bagels with the right cream cheese are everything!
Yeah wtf is she going to eat it with! Better not to bring anything!
Meh...I hate all bagels, cheese or not. It’s like eating a rock
That is my favorite Miranda line! The "Bullshit Bagels 🥯" were when I realized Carrie's character left much to be desired.
Speaking of her self-obsession and always turning the conversation back to herself: you left out the moment when Charlotte announces her ENGAGEMENT and Carrie immediately brings up being dumped on a post-it. Can't she just be happy for her friend for ONE MINUTE without making it all about her?
angolangel “paper covers rock” 🙄 yes she made that entire night about her getting dumped instead of celebrating Charlotte finding love again
Ooofh YES! I was so hoping that'd be on the video
Lmao so true, you notice this when you watch the episodes back to back, every conversation reverts back to her, its like urgh!
Oh my god yeah paper covers rock lol
Obviously she can’t...
When I watched this show when I was younger I loved all the characters, including Carrie. But as I've grown older and continued to watch satc, I now realise how toxic Carrie is and how wonderful Samantha and Miranda are. I would be proud to be either one, they are idols 😁
I agree with all of these but I want to add (or elaborate on) her usage of money. She continues to complain how she can not afford to renovate her apartment, for example, but she continues to buy expensive shes and clothes. For example, Aidan does all the work for free and for what? And also, how on earth would a weekly column writer afford that kind of a luxorious lifestyle?
The writers of "The Golden Girls" knew what they were doing, they had a Miranda (Dorothy), a Samantha (Blanche) and a Charlotte (Rose) but no Carrie.
That's brilliant
LMAO
Who are Dorothy blanche and rose lol
@@godzilla4005 characters from the show "The Golden Girls"
If you've never seen it let alone heard of it, I feel bad for your life. 🤣 jk, but seriously you should watch it.
I love them!
I hate the fact that she expected Charlotte to give her the money for her apartment. If she would have sold half the designer crap she owned she would have had the money. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. I hated her so much in the show and the movies. Samantha was awesome. She was generous and understanding and non-judgemental. She was a doll!!!
Incognito Mosquito i'm pretty sure in the clip she didn't expect her to give her money, only that she, the most privileged and spoiled of the girls offer to help her in her time of need just like samantha and miranda did. Charlotte is spoiled and rich from her family, but couldn't offer her best friend even a loan. Like you have to be a really shitty person to let your friend go homeless even if they did it to themselves if you have all the means in the world, don't have to work, etc. Anyway Charlotte didn't have to offer money or a loan she could have offered a way for carrie to fix the situation, she didn't do anything and that's the point that she stayed silent and looked away when everyone else was willing to help and carrie even said no to it all! She just wanted to know they were there for her.
fujihara17 Carrie should've accepted responsibility rather than lashing out at her friend. Charlotte had just gone through a shitty marriage and was having a hard enough time of her own, she didn't need Carrie dumping on her just because she was frustrated with her own mistakes. Mistakes which she literally never acknowledges. She is a grown ass woman who spends money she doesn't have on things she doesn't need. She even admits at one point that she had sacrificed food to buy vogue magazine before. The woman is immature and has messed up priorities, and it's no one else's fault but her own. It's also no one else's job to bail her out of her own mess.
Francesca Fox I totally agree!
I mean, if it was someone actually risking homelessness, sure, but someone owning a house full of designer shit isn't actually risking homelessness, they're just too prissy to sell some of their crap. I would never in a lifetime offer money to someone like that, especially seeing as, with such a successful job and how much money she spends, Carrie SHOULD have savings like a mature adult.
When Carrie told Miranda about how much all her shoes cost , Miranda says "your down payment is right there". In the end of the episode Charlotte gives Carrie her wedding ring for the down payment. Go figure.
God, there is so much material on how toxic Carrie is, it could take up an entire season worth of scenes. But what was the most baffling thing ever, was that she flatout refused to break off all contact with Big AND had the audacity to let him come to Aidan's cabin😑😑😑 He should have broken up with here then and there.
Honestly, a LOT of this show did not age well. It’s enjoyable to watch but through the lens of a different time. Holy shit, Carrie was awful. Even just on the basis of pure unadulterated materialism that doesn’t translate well into the 2020s, it aged terribly. Poor Carrie who can’t find a place to live but she can’t stop buying $1000 Jimmy Choos. No way in hell anyone could have afforded that apartment even way back in the 90s with a paycheck from writing a (weekly? monthly?) newspaper column.
It was really dumb and hypocritical when carrie judged samantha for blowing the worldwide express guy, yet carrie cheated on aidan ,and slept with big when he was married to another woman.
And she slept with Big in their his and Natasha's house of all things. Now that's a special kind of grimy.
@@robinbrown2256 or shameful
The most underrated relationship has got to be Samantha and Smith jerrod's. Can't believe the satc movie writers screwed them by breaking up them.I mean,in the series, they were both absolutely perfect n respected each other a lot!! I bet in series they would have never broken up!
Alisa 03 yes they should’ve just stayed together that’s how I like to remember this in my head
Erwin Lii yes they focus to much on Carrie and it was the same shit with no growth
I love how he stayed in the hotel lobby after he knew she was madly in love with Richard still. He was trying to win her heart and knew she deserved better for herself. I loved them .
That’s why i hated the movies so much, it ruined the storyline. If it’d just finished with the last episode, it would’ve been so much better!
Them and Steve with Miranda.
I've never liked her, but I'm rewatching the full series and she's actually... worse than I remembered.
Jeez... she's such a self absorbed, spoiled brat, everything seems to annoy her.
When she finds out Big was married once, she's chasing the first wife to see what she looks like, then his mother, forcing him to introduce her.
She freaks out when he doesn't want to sign a card for a wedding, when he doesn't leave her room in the bathroom, gets anooyed because he's a bit late, smokes a cigar, then get annoyed at Aidan because he asks her casually about her day, because he buys her a new laptop but she wants the old one ...
Ok, Big was also selfish with big commitment issues, but damn, just walk away instead of trying to change him any occasion.
And I'm not even going to start with how she treated Aidan.
Come to think of it, Big and her belong together. They're both selfish people with a love for pointless drama.
I just finished re watching SATC now that I'm in my 30s eyes and just noticed how much of an insufferable character Carrie was. Even in the movie she still managed to make the wedding all about herself and managed to screw herself up so bad that she got jilted. She was such a bad friend and I will never get over what she did to Aidan. Carrie pisses me off lol
Her scream should have been a dishonorable mention, it drives me nuts!
Kaylene Veenstra Her screeching is the worst! And the fake crocodile tears! Arrrrrrg.
There's an episode where she shrieks when it starts raining too. Like, what? It's rain! She lives in New York where rain is a somewhat frequent occurrence. It's so ridiculous to see a grown woman get so dramatic over a little bit of rain.
They were all a bit pampered in that way, remember the train journey? Every time something is not super upper class and covered in jewels they go all 'eww' like teens.. But that's why I'm a Miranda-gal, she owned up to not being all that royal.. Well Samantha too but she's a self-made mature woman, she just is what she is, while Carrie is faking it and Charlotte has internalized her background to the point of being out of touch with reality
@@KayleeCee I HAD THE SAME REACTION WHEN I SAW THE SCENE!!!!
And the way she eats: always liking around her lips and eating with her mouth open 🤢
I used to love Carrie first time watching SATC, but after a few times of rewatching it and getting older, I realised how annoying she is. She is so whiny and needy when it comes to men and inconsiderate when it comes to her friends.
Agree. I've been rewatching them again and all during the first round of dating Big I don't really see much wrong with him, but a ton wrong with her. She keeps making assumptions about how he feels or what his actions mean and she's always wrong. But they never ever explore that or point it out.... They just make it wrong of him not explaining himself before she makes her wrong assumptions. It's really terrible actually.
@@AlohaLowah I agree and I dnt think Big was as bad as she painted him out to be (except for when he cheated on Natasha with her). Big was always pretty much a what you see is what you get type of guy. He was always upfront about who he was. He never pretended to be something other than what he was, she just didn't want to accept it and wanted to try and change him. And the series reveals imo that she really doesn't truly know what she wants bc when she finally gets a man that gives her all of what she always wanted in Big, she sabotages the relationship by pushing him away and actually questioning why he was so nice to her lol smh and then cheats on him smh.
Totally agree. Which would’ve been a fine storyline for Carrie as a 20-something. But as someone past the age of 30, it’s astounding that she doesn’t recognize how childish she’s being in her relationship with Big.
velvetcigarette 3 Same. The exact feeling I had with the Gilmore Girls. As an adult you realize that these people are horrible.
velvetcigarette 3 that's precisely my experience, too. I loved Carrie as a teenager watching this show, but as an adult, I can't stand her. She acts like a high schooler.
Samantha and Miranda are the queens of this show. They ALWAYS speak their minds.
Carrie is the toxic friend we never want, but sometimes when we look in the mirror, we realize, she’s in us the entire time.

Nobody:
Carrie: "Hey, isn't anybody going to notice my new purse?"
Carrie's character can be summed up by her reaction to Big's death, "What am I going to do?"
She was lame af to Stanford too. She treated him like her personal errand boy… like he was just there to fluff her ego. One of my favorite moments between them was when he stopped her from talking about her book review to let her know she was being a bad friend.
The day Charlotte got Married to her first husband Trey, Carrie decides to tell Aiden she's been cheating on him. Of all the months you could of told him, you wait on your bestfriend's special day to do so? It's like it made her gag to not have a day dedicated to her.
Somewhere, maybe here in the internet but some guy told me he didn't want to know! Someone only tells the person they're in a relationship that they've cheated because THEY, the cheater wants to be absolved of their guilt. He said that the partner needs to figure out how to deal with their guilt!. I believe that.
I think that 98% of men cheat so I'm not one of those women who runs around who's going to be shocked I'm being cheated on. Hell, where I am there are no men so I don't have this problem. I'm not going to have some blow up with the other woman. I also feel if woman A can't keep her man coming to her bed don't blame woman B!

I never really thought about it when I watched it but yeah... WTF, Carrie?!
@@VivKittie32 Right?! lol That moment annoyed me so much when I would watch that episode among so many other self absorbed Carrie moments
Navarey J I think that she just couldn't bare to keep the secret inside any longer. Have you ever held on to a secret that is so painful it's actually eating you up inside and then all of a sudden there comes a moment where you feel like you have to spit it out or you'll implode? I think that's what Carrie was feeling at that moment. No it wasn't the right time but I don't think that she told Aidan out of selfishness.
@@kiranolan7104 No, I completely agree. I know there are some secrets that will literally eat you alive and I also feel that Aiden had a right to know about her infidelity but it always bugged me that it coincided with her best friends wedding day. Her Carrie moments always seem so "convenient" lol
How Carrie screwed over Aiden multiple times. Absolutely horrible person. Not just flawed. She is a horrible human being lol
watertownnative Natasha would have been well within her rights to punch her out.
Aiden was nothing but wonderful to her. He took her back after she cheated on him, he put up with her still talking to Big after they got back together, he put a lot of time and effort into fixing up her apartment, he put up with all of her drama and bullshit, he was always so open and honest about his feelings (yet she couldn't even be honest regarding her feelings about marrying him)... DeathBeforeDecaf for some reason I hated aiden
Lol they told her what to do. Ok
She’s even worse in the movies if that’s even remotely possible. The first one, she makes her friends care for her while she whines around about Big. The second, she makes Charlotte feel bad about her worries about the nanny, and she cheats on Big with Aiden. But in the end, she always gets the happy ending because she somehow deserves it. 🙄
When she's yelling at Charlotte for not offering money is the one that made ne want to smack her! How is Charlotte at all in any way responsible for Carrie's finances??? And how is it Charlotte's fault that she doesn't have to work but Carrie does? Really, a 10 year old might be excused for behaving this way but not someone in her 30s. It's ridiculous. I cannot believe Charlotte stood and listened instead of banging the door and leaving.
I first noticed her selfishness when Big had paid for them both to go on a vacation and she wanted him to tell her that she was the 'one' for him. They were still so new. She then at the very last minute did not go. No consideration that he made all of the arrangements and paid for it all. She should have accepted things the way they were at that time and they could have had a fabulous trip. I really, REALLY did not like how she treated Aiden. He was the best!!! Any single woman would want an Aiden!!
@MorganaEly so cringy
Yes! If A man bought me a free vacation im not bringing up any relationship concerns until we come back🤣🤣🤣
Omg so true !!!
Lmao my ass still going
I can't let go of the fact that when Aidan tried to forgive her for cheating, he only asked for her to never see Big again and she said NO because he was in her life... I mean girl you had an affair, not even a one time thing, an affair!! And you still want to try and get back together with him, after the heartache you caused him, but also have the audacity to refuse to cut ties with the man you betrayed him with?!
Carrie blowing off Miranda for Big always pissed me off. When he leaves your ass again see how many friends you have left! At least Miranda met her hubby that way
Yes & considering how she expected the other 3 to literally drop their lives & rush to mop her tears whenever her newest me me me drama was unfolding, she should have at LEAST tried to appreciate them more. Such a childish dumbass! 🙄😒
Yes & when Miranda finally told her off she expected Miranda to apologize & for what she spent like half her friendships trauma dumping & dragging her into her problems like 😒
She is mean, selfish , narcissist and demanding....but still wants everyone to love and care for her.
Narcissists are like that.
It's funny, when I watched this show in my 20s I was always on Carrie's side and thought Big was a meanie. Then, when I watched the show again in my 30s I was 100% on Big's side. She was so whiny and immature. He told her his boundaries and she just did not care about them. It was so eye-opening, how, as we change, characters change, too.
As far as I'm concerned her and Big "deserve each other."
Exactly! She didn't deserve Aiden.
Thank you for saying that, big and Carrie are terrible people and terrible people deserve each other.
You're so right
About the only thing I like about Big is his laugh. Big's actor Chris Noth has a very hearty laugh; and I wouldn't mind him doing a guest appearance on "Divorce" and share a few scenes with Sarah Jessica Parker.
Given the fact that she became involved with a married man (Big), Carrie is the *last* person who should judge Samantha.
Especially after Samantha was the one who actually understood her and supported her
Sam dated a married guy as well in the series and made out with another married guy so they are about even.
Her NOT understanding Natashas dislike for her was just 😳😳😳! What mistress is that dumb?!? Lol Come on Carrie
I don’t like how she asks Charlotte why she didn’t let her borrow money, “she wouldn’t have accepted it,” so Charlotte THEN offers to let her borrow money, AND CARRIE TAKES IT!!! 🤬🤬 I would of been like NM I thought u said u wouldn’t take it?? BIG has more money it probably wouldn’t affect him as much.. where Charlotte didn’t even have a job! The only reason she had a nice apt was because she was married to a doctor for like a year! 😱🤬😤
Ally McBeal: “no one can be a more annoying, narcissistic psycho than me”

I love watching you tube clips thrashing Carrie. She's such a complex character, not perfect and easy to hate. We all hate the parts of ourselves we don't accept and see in the other.
Honorable Mention: Carrie Bradshaw/Sarah Jessica Parker is the the Rachel Berry/Lea Michele of the early 2000s.
So true. LOL! 😂😂😂
Yep Carrie was such a terrible friend and girlfriend. Then when she finally married Big she kisses Aiden. Her character was very flawed.
The worst part was what they did in Aiden in that pathetic racist pile of crap of a movie. Aiden was not the kind of person to cheat considering what Carrie did to him and how good of a person he was. What would have been better is she sould have gone in for the kiss and he would have been like WTF. No instead the writers pulled Aiden down to her level.
That's the whole point of the show!!! I can't understand why no one gets this - as if they think the writers don't know that Carrie is awful. She's supposed to be awful. She was an anti-hero before anti-heroes were a thing.
I always got the feeling they were making her a victim, not a villain. But ok. Different perspectives are cool.
And how about the time when Big specifically tells her NOT to go to church with his mother and she still goes and ambushes them and then puts on a scene about how he didn't tell his mom about her yet. The men is 40-freaking years old, why in the world WOULD he tell his mother about a girl that has been around for a couple of month only? This was such a psychopathic behaviour on Carrie's behalf, almost stalking already.
Hmmm like a real person
She was a terrible person! Finally someone has said it!
CatherineMac93 amen 🙏
She really was! I have cut so many toxic Carries out of my circle of friends over the years. Nobody needs all that self-made drama in their lives.
Matt C good for you!!! It’s so exhausting! Can’t understand why they’re so selfish and never think of other people!

@@marymohagheghi4875 or when Miranda was getting Eye surgery and she left her hanging at the doctors office, if it wasn't cause Steve showed up she would of have to leave alone while on Valium, recently out of surgery.
What pisses me off about Carrie also was she wanted Aiden to forgive her but also keep big in her life and that Aidan had to accept it but she gets mad when Aiden was hanging out with another female? Give me a break!
Another example that Carrie always expects her friends to be there for her. Like Samantha who had a chemical peeling made on her face and was totally burned but got convinced by Carrie to back her up on her book event. But little Carrie couldnt get her ass out for having lunch with her friends because it was "too cold". It was just a code for "I want to be with my boyfriend so you dont matter to me right now!"
Don't forget about when she searched through that cute guys whole apartment searching for something weird about him and then getting caught because he wanted to spend time with her
Like why are you going through a new guys shit? Hes not your man. That was weird
And smoking, don't forget she was smoking the whole time. Please by all means impregnate my smoke-free apartment with cigarette smell.
SHE CREATED DRAMA
This is probably why I relate closer to Samantha or Miranda.

Ashleigh Tompkins exactly. Kinda like with the Gilmore Girls... loved them before but as I grew up I realized they were horrible garbage people and you end up relating to Paris
Ashleigh Tompkins you relate to Samanta? LOL GOOD FOR YOU...LOL
I love Sam as she is always straightforward, say as it is, shes my favorite in the show :)
Appleish thanks for reply. I think SEX IN THE CITY as enough matérialisme for a Ph.D thesis. For myself Miranda is my best. Cérébral and always rational.
Number 1 .
She didn’t called 911 right away
Carrie in the show is the definition of a red flag
Another thing I‘d like to add is the way she treats charlotte. Yes, Charlotte was a little short sighted sometimes but after all she truly wanted the best for her friends. She just wished a differend life style for herself than the others. Carrie treated her as if she had no idea about life. But in the end, it was always carrie to screw things up. She was the one to cheat on the sweetest guy she has dated, she was the one that could not afford her apartment, because she did not know how to deal with money. Charlotte knew exactly what she wanted: a husband and children. Carrie never new what she was actually looking for. Aiden was too much of ‚the nice guy‘, Big was too afraid of commitments blah blah blah.
But what bothered me the most was when Charlotte was going through her divorce and was really feeling awful and still Carrie couldn‘t talk about anything else but herself. Or when Charlotte got engaged to Harry, all Carrie could care about was the post-it break up. As if Charlotte reaching her life goal was less important...
Always Bored I love Charlotte, she was sweet and funny about her “short sight” on relationships with men
I loved Charlotte, too. Yes, she was a bit of a Pollyanna, but in the end she wanted the best for everyone. She always saw the positive traits in people. And when she and Harry got the picture of their "baby", I cried like one!!
Exactly! Charlotte might seem like she's an airhead with a lot of fantasies but she knows exactly what she wants. When things don't work out, she breaks it off right away with guys unlike Carrie who strings them along and then hurt their feelings later.
Another one would be when she made Charlotte’s second engagement all about herself and her break up.
Now for a top ten reasons why Samantha was the best
And top ten reasons why we’re all team Miranda.
If you are a Miranda fan go watch the video from Screen Prism
The ScreenPrism video is incredible.
I agree. I never really liked her, but after that scene, I just couldn't tolerate her. She was so self-centered and bratty.
I happened upon this video today...and was unsettled to realize that I hadn't picked up on Carrie's self-absorbed behaviour, rants, etc. I watched all of the seasons and this was a surprising unveiling! Thanks for the spot-on observation.
You forgot when she physically assaulted Big
What about when she told Aiden (Big is in my life, and you need to accept that)
