  • After spending one month in Mexico, I flew from Cancun Mexico to Istanbul Turkey on United Airlines. From Newark, NJ i flew on United Airlines (flight 960) to Frankfurt Germany where i experienced their Premium Plus Economy for an extra $199 upgrade fee. The largest airport I've been to is probably DFW - Dallas Fort Worth. Oh and btw, the first class on the Boeing 777 and the business on the 787 are amazing. You can actually lay down. If you fly AA they have nice wines and great food! 😋You'd love the experience.

    I fly internationally 100% of time (we'll did before covid), and fly Polaris (business class) only. But wanted to see how Premium Plus was...I did a SFO to SYD, and the the experience was absolutely better then Economy Plus, in-regards to amenities & food. And you are totally right as it is a middle ground between Economy & Polaris...but a happy middle ground! 🙂
    The experience was nice but I will have to say I missed my Polaris, and as a 1K...I also missed my perks, leisure and comforts. Great video & hopefully you'll due your next flying Polaris - big difference? 👊respect 👊

      I recently flew Polaris for the first time. Not a Business traveler, so I don't get to do it quite often, but the difference between Economy and Polaris is just out of this world. Flying economy, you just can't wait for the flight to end. Flying Polaris, you just don't want it to end... Worth it 100%, something that needs to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

    Great video, can't wait to fly in Premium to London in December. I do have an odd question thought. When I transferred through Frankfurt from Orlando on the way to Norway I went through immigration and went left through the duty free shop right to my next gate. Just wondering why you had to go through security again in Frankfurt?

      Unfortunately having the entire row to yourself is not much of a benefit in Premium Economy on any airline as the seat armrests cannot be moved to allow sleeping. In most cases the seat armrests can be moved up and out of the way in Economy only.

    • @alexandwhite
      @alexandwhite  Před 3 lety +1

      To get to Istanbul you need to apply for an eVisa Online (depending on what country you’re from). I actually used miles to get the flight originally which is why I decided to spend the money for an upgraded and try out their premium plus cabin

      You should get the Amex Platinum. They will take care of you with all the upgrades; you pay $550.00 and the first year free.
      I love the card; I get away with most up fees. If you like? I will refer you so I can be rewarded too!!
      I thought you have a US passport, so how come evisa needed it?

    • @alexandwhite
      @alexandwhite  Před 3 lety +1

      I do have a passport. But eVisa is still required for 3 month multiple entry. I’ve already got the chase reserve card, only reason I don’t have the Amex is cause It doesn’t help my credit score since it’s a charge card

    What are some of the best ways to rack up miles? You always use the same airlines?

    • @alexandwhite
      @alexandwhite  Před 3 lety +2

      Personally through credit card sign up bonuses. When I plan on making a big purchase (like camera equipment) I sign up for a new credit card and try to earn their big sign up bonuses which I then use for free flights. But if I’m paying for the flight I def try to stick with one single partner airline (ie. star alliance)
