    EDIT: kept watching, this is my buddy D Shitty's deck! lol Saffron Olive, always call him D Shitty please, because of you, dschidi's entire circle of magic players now call him D Shitty. Well done!

    I'm genuinely surprised that Seth didn't find a way to shove Ghost Quarter and Field of Ruin in the manabase. Honestly he should just have accepted that he was gonna lose to Blood Moon and left only one or two basics in the deck, he made 5 color manabases that worked before for a bunch of different decks.

    (Around 14:00 and typed then) To deal with Blood Moon. Maybe just distinctly a lot of (maybe not more, haven't watched that far) Forest and Swamp for Abrupt Decay and Maelstrom Pulse as well as maybe Island for Sultai Charm (and more of those).
    And then probably otherwise just hope for the best, other changes probably result in making a lot of changes to the deck (which probably is not the idea).

    Hey seth, just a couple of thigs:
    1) It IS fun to watch you fixing decks. I think I once suggested you a deck doctor series where you fix some of the worst much abrew (like the ones with terrible lands, or no interaction).
    2)How about sylvan carotid? play it on t2 and it gives you a t3 rhino/bloodbraid.

    @SaffronOlive I run a deck just like this and run 4 fetch's, 4 paruns, 4 shocks, 4 pains, 4 checks, 4 basics, & 4 Birds, and yes it folds to blood moon, but other than that it runs smooth as silk. I dont know why anyone would run vivids or confluence.

    • @ViolenceisJustice

      Is this ironic? Adding more nonbasics to counteract losing to blood moon?

    • @jimduggan
      @jimduggan Před 6 lety +8

      I was saying that you most likely just lose to moon. So just basically give that matchup up and improve your mana for non moon games. Not the best strategy, but are you realistically beating moon even with the current manabase?

  • @mariofisher6340

    I ran a deck similar to this. the curve is good enough without the birds. think about running Safewright Quest with the 3 bicycling lands it can grab and a godless shrine and or sacred foundry instead of the vivids.
    naya charm is the best charm
    i would go down all the K commands for anouther sultai charm 2 naya charm and 1 glittering wish for a main deck hedge for round one. you would be side boarding it out for what ever it would grab. and seeing the sultai charms hit artifacts and enchantments i would take out a single pridemage for... don't lough... heroes' reunion to wish for against burn or death shadow
    naya charm is great in aggro tapping down there elves or blockers.

    I made a Bloodbraid Elf Cascade Mill Deck using As Foretold, Ancestral Vision together with Sphinx's Tutelage, Wheel of Fate & Ancestral Vision. It uses Suspend, Fuse and Aftermath cards to get cards to play on turn 1-2 while keeping the cascade to hit the wrong cards if nothing goes wrong (no counters and enchantment removal) it can mill the entire deck on turn 5-6 by playing from a Tutalage into two Wheels (over 42) or from two Tutalages into one Wheels (over 35) depending on how many colors the opponent plays.
    tappedout.net/mtg-decks/cascade-mill-draw-engine/
    It also has a second way to win using Chasm Skulker + Greater Gargadon and Bloodbraid aggro but one can switch those two out for more control and cascade or start the other way arround to let the opponent swap out all the creature removals similar to Approach the Second Sun deck do with Regal Caracal, which seams like the better way but I love to have more win conditions in the Deck instead of a lot control.

    i'm not a fan of those 2-drops. this deck offers so much surprise damage (kolaghans, jeskai ch, mantis, rhino..) and then plays such passive cards, especially coiling oracle. instead you could play for card advantage/filtering sygg river cuttthroat, grim flayer, dimir guildmage, or surprisingly veteran motorist. gaddok teeg prevents wraths and cryptic commands. vs burn tithe drinker will do a great job. alara blade cycle is decent. voltaic brawler, relentless raptor and sky terror are good offensive cards. skyrider elf is not efficient, but scalable. definitely not a fan of coiling oracle, so underwhelming. even zhur taa druid and radha seem better in this deck.

  • @mave6602
    @mave6602 Před 6 lety

    I think WotC should make a Set with which they erata each command, charm, escalate, entwinde, confluence and every similar card to get the Instant/Sorcery Subtype "Charm" and put cards in that Set which care about Charms. E.g. a legendary creature that is five colored and allows to cast "Charms" for generic mana equal to their mana costs and allows to choose an additionl mode. Would be a nice subtheme similar to curses, cartouch or quests.

  • @Dinishte
    @Dinishte Před 6 lety +2

    Stop scooping to combos. Make them fulfill the combo. I would NEVER scoop to ANY combo. They can make a mistake, time out, or just get lazy. The infinite life game was a perfect example. They did not WIN by having infinite life... you just quit. Very disappointing. You could argue "boring to watch" but I think watching a deck try to overcome a huge life total would be FAR more entertaining than a scoop for no real reason.

    • @ViolenceisJustice

    • @baileyrose6459
      @baileyrose6459 Před 6 lety +1

      It's rude to the opponent to make them keep going if their combo doesn't have a chance of fizzling without them making a mistake. Besides that, how do you best a deck with infinite life? This deck has only so many ways to deal damage and it's never going to reasonably beat infinite life.
