PRED HEROES RANKED ON SKILL CEILING

  • Predecessor heroes have been criticized before for being pretty easy to use overall. Today I decided to rank them all based on their skill ceiling and their skill floor. Skill floor is how easy it is to play a hero the first time, skill ceiling is how much you can get out of a hero after complete mastery. Let me know your thoughts down below!

    I would like to see role specific match up tier lists to work on my counter pick game. Thanks!

    Great video, would love to see more like this. Would have to say that fey definitely has a higher skill ceiling than Iggy and narbash. She should be just above rev and Iggy because of her e, to use it to its full extent is pretty rare. Its similar to wraith snipe in terms of mechanical skill but you need to hit a minimum of 4 of them, on the same hero, within a short period of time to get her max value. I agree that the rest of her kit is super easy tho.

    I think phase should be higher in the skill ceiling. Yeah you can do just fine being link to carry at all times but a good phase has to be able to monitor a fight and switch in between allies and pulling them so safety while running for her life because she is always being focused 😂

      @TheCommonGround Před 6 měsíci

      As a Phase main, I agree. Not to mention you can make plays by using Galaxy Grieves (or even without) by pulling your character INTO fights. Something I don't often see Phase players do. Surprise assaults when someone thinks an ADC can't catch them are clutch.

    Guessing skill shots and heroes that rely on chaining their kits will be top tier.
    Mori obviously at the very bottom, Wraith near the top.

    For the most part this is pretty accurate but I think your reasoning for a few characters was a little muddied. Like adcs being braindead left click but wraith being top of the chart because you have to aim. They’re the same concept… Just don’t think wraith is that substantially harder to play than any other adc. Or iggy being hard to play just because it’s a unique style of play though he’s incredibly easy once you grasp that style.

    Agree with most of this - especially Wraith being the overall most difficult to play. I disagree with how difficult you placed countess: by the nature of how her Q works she is an easier hero to play. Muriel is the hardest support to play imo, but I get why Riktor is so high. Khai is easier to play than Morigesh (saying this as a Khai main) -> He's fucking braindead lol. This whole thing is largely accurate though.

      @trentonpreston3463 Před 6 měsíci

      I think the hard part about Khai is being impactful in teamfights. Mori can just through hive, khai has to full commit at the right time or just get blown up

    Not gonna lie, even in old paragon i liked khaimera, grux and greystone.... BUT one unit has shown me how much fun he can be.... sevarog. I might like kinda braindead units but sev actually needs some tricks to make him a menace..
    I always love these games that have so many different characters with different abilities and purposes which is why i play this game! KEEP UP THE CONTENT

    Why is wraith high due to aiming difficulty, but all the carries are low? I suck at carry so didn't think that made sense.

  • @timezinfinityX
    @timezinfinityX Před 6 měsíci +1

    i personally don’t think wraith is that difficult to play, like you said it’s all aim at the end of the day. character doesn’t have to think about resource management with the mindrazor meta & his rmb giving full mana refund now. late game he can just invis & one shot characters without any counterplay bc you can see them but they can’t see you = easier to hit your two abilities. character isn’t the best as an ADC but as a midlaner he could arguably be the best right now.
    buff countess tho 😫😪

      @timezinfinityX Před 6 měsíci

      @@SyscoKiidehhhh that’s def arguable. he has invis & rewind so he technically has an escape, better one shot potential that can’t be cleansed & punished like countess ult, way better early game than countess as well & again, he doesn’t have to think twice about resource management now lol

    I think that Morigesh is 100 times harder than Greystone, yeah you dont have to aim, but you are a short range mage, position bad and you are dead
    The skill celling is really low as you have to do all the time the same, but the skill floor is not that low.
    For example, with Gadget you have more abilities to land on the enemy, but you can play Gadget from a safe position and farm with abilities under the safety of your tower, you dont have to risk yourself to do your job and you can always throw ability and run away.
    For a new player, or even a experienced player Morigesh seems harder to play

    • @shutupimstilltalking
      @shutupimstilltalking Před měsícem

      Not to mention gadgets ult hits multiple people and morigesh only hits one and a stasis device easily counters it.

    Good video. I had some different opinions, but not too far off from yours. The only one that I think you're completely wrong on is countess. She is pretty damn easy. Not much nuance to her kit. Her little teleport and back is the only thing that has much skill potential. I would say someone like Kwang is more difficult than countess both in skill ceiling and skill floor. A lot of his potential lies in landing your tether, and knowing which ability to follow up with. Or even using it as a get away. At the very least Kwang has a higher skill ceiling, I suppose skill floor is negligible between them.

    • @timezinfinityX
      @timezinfinityX Před 6 měsíci

      she’s a pub stomper v players that don’t hone the skills to counter her correctly. at high lvl she’s damn hard to make work & almost never picked. you have to be a specialist of the character & have the awareness to accomplish an assassination. with the current cc/tank meta, if she Q’s in on the backline she should be dying for it everytime

    • @onecrunch5308
      @onecrunch5308 Před 6 měsíci

      @@timezinfinityX I would mostly agree, but what doesn't make sense about Pinzo's placement for her is the high skill floor. Since she's a pub stomper that means she's a relatively low skill floor character. And just because a character is harder to make work at higher levels of play doesn't necessarily mean they're high skill ceiling. A good example of this is Sparrow and Kira.

    • @timezinfinityX
      @timezinfinityX Před 6 měsíci

      @@onecrunch5308 shes a pub stomper bc casual players aren't doing the things in game to shut her down & are just letting her run her gameplan. high skill ceiling bc of how easy she actually is to shut down & cc to death, high lvl countess players can use her invulnerability frames on her Q to successfully dodge cc, which as pinzo said a player with one game on countess wont be able to pull stuff like that off but one with 1k will every game, just an example. comparing two adcs who just need left click with a magical assassin just doesn't work lmao. countess has arguably the worst early game & if she can't make things happens she very useless when behind.

      no, it describes the height of the "floor" u step on when trying to learn a character. the higher this is, the more difficult it is to take said step.
      Pinzo said that in similar words as well and at the end of the day it's his video, list and metric.
