Ziad Nakad never fails to deliver a stunning collection of perfection! His winter collections amaze me. You can see the crystal glazed evergreen forests in the beginning then he pulled out all the stops with the reds and blues. He show stoppers are the way he uses all the fabrics together. Especially the velvets. I watched this twice and gotta say the icicle dresses knocked me out too. I wonder what happens to these masterpieces after the shows.
Those greens in the beginning are so satisfying to the eye!. Love the swinging crystals and beads! The feather designs are melded with sparkly fir boughs! I felt I was watching high goddesses of the North woods, while at the same time attending a late 1920's New Year's Eve soiree.

I can't believe the guy at the far left texting on his phone still looking down 10 min into the show. If he is so important why is he there? So much hard work being disrespected. The woman next to him taking selfies, not of the gowns, of her self.

Eija Katriina I agree but I think it may be the dresses. They are lovely but don’t seem to wear well. Many of his gowns would not allow a date to stand within three feet of the wearer. And the narrower ones most likely can not be sat down in. You can get that voluminous effect without that stiffness and isolation from your date. For the bride, make that five feet. Too bulky. The designs look like the concept drawings. A good designer will not make the drawing, but a version of it that can be worn, and maybe a few concept gowns thrown in. A great designer designs for the woman to wear and feel not only look wonderful. Not just to make their vision.

These are meant to showcase the designer's vision, not the reality of wearing dresses. If you check his website, he has a separate line of ready-to-wear dresses that are more realistic for the "general" public to wear to black-tie events. I do agree that the models lack charisma, but perhaps the designer wants the focus to be on the clothing rather than the models.
In the fashion industry, designers can use the same trends as other designers and can interpret them into there collection. It is called a trend for a reason. It is very common that many high fashion designers, as well as ready-to-wear designers, do the same thing at once it just depends on what the fashion trends/reports are predicted for the upcoming seasons. It is also not considered 'stealing' (which is a whole other story that should be covered in a video).
You can't like every single dress but respect for the work put in every single one of them. Now there was a problem with the length of the dresses or the high of the models. I really hate the shoes with those tacky platforms but even with those shoes many models had issues....I counted like 3 or 4 of them.
Chill guys! Nothing's a ripoff. Every country has their own traditional style. You'll see French designers having a bit of similarity between one French couturier to another and similarly with Italian designers. It's all about that particular country's heritage. With that said, every designer has his own distinguished style.

I felt the models were styled in such a cold harsh way that was intentionally done yes , but conveyed a cold vibe that was clinical and dark and took away from the collections appeal imo ! I wanna see these gowns given the ultra feminine sort of delicacy and that’s taken away. It’s almost painful to see , when something is so beautiful and elegant, but the spirit is dark and cold and the energy that is conveyed leaves us in a dark down feeling place , having watched it. It takes away from the beauty of it when all i can feel is some detached vibe going on , with such harshness. It’s like some of them are walking it out too strongly for the value of each piece being shown to be able to captivate or be enjoyed. And had they fixed the lighting and added some kinda life to the whole thing , from the lights to the styling to the music ( omg the music is horrible and detached and feels very empty and evil almost ) it just takes away from what could have warmth and life to it. It deeply disappoints me to see so many talented designers producing and showing work that falls short emotionally, with such cold dark undertones and if they’re going for that ? Ok they’ve achieved it. But it doesn’t leave us with a good resolved feeling once we’re finished watching it. Just feels so cold and distant and honestly ? It hinders the whole collection and everything that went into it , when it’s so detached and dark bc basically it’s making beautiful artistic creations shrouded in the darkness , unmemorable imo! Just leaves me feeling uncomfortable and I don’t like the devoid , chilling undertones most of these designers are going for , tryin to be all relevant and trendy or so innovative or whatever when all we feel is disconnected

Everytime I saw my favorite a better one came out! Stunning! I never knew dresses like these existed. The thought I will never get to wear one makes me hope that our cloths in heaven are like this. Please dress Kate Middleton so we get to see these in real life.
Very creative and eye-catching. I would probably wear the very dark tea-length dress, the royal blue one with flared sleeves, and the blood vessel one (provided I had an adequate slip underneath). I loved many of the other ones, too, especially the darker pinks. Very interesting.
The greens were stunning. I really appreciated them. As for the rest of the dresses, they were glittering, but I forgot most of them. In a room of ball gowns, they disappear. That wedding dress was frightful.
So many designers focus on gowns only. Don’t get me wrong , the work that went into these was impeccable and they’re layered with so many intricate placements of beadwork and colors that are very very gorgeous ! Wonderful color palate and mixture of materials For sure ! Wish some of the models were able to add to these looks a little more feminine appeal .. some of them are so hard looking in their walk and expressions ! Some very strong walkers though. I much prefer this collection than many of the others out there lately ! I’d happily wear about 90%. Just so many variations on the same gown kinda gets to me lol bc I’d be wanting to weed many of them in the same event haha. also like when they changed the color spectrum a bit going into the reds , some of them had more of a sensual vibe to them , as well as more of a current vibe. Some of them still had an aged look with a bit much going on but I can appreciate the work .. looks like each piece was made with lots of meticulous attention and love. Just feeling like there’s a coldness to s lot of them and that may have been what they were going for idk ?.. but may have to do with the styling of the models . It def. keeps the focus on the garments instead , however. I didn’t appreciate the ads in the middle of the video though. I think that’s gotten out of hand how some channels are overly excessive about profiting off of us. We get it CZcams .. interrupts the beginning, throughout the middle and the end with ads ., that’s the world we live in. We’re nothing but billboards for some products and services , if we ever have content of our own and we’re nothing but customers / consumers to all these entities .. 🙄. Just gets irritating 😠 when we can’t even enjoy anything without being promoted some product or ridiculous mess. Whoever selected the music for this show needs to be put in time out lol st the very least. Was horrible to listen to. Had to turn the volume off , it was so bad ! The feminine , lovely side of fashion has been lost to androgyny and emptiness in many ways despite the intricacies in the work I’ve seen.
At last. Dresses that are dresses and don't resemble duct tape and garbage bags. Beautiful designs. Class, elegance, and feminine. Phenominal.

They achieved that .,, Just is uncomfortable imo , to watch and takes away from what really is beautiful on its own. Not sure if anyone else felt the same way or not but it’s like an energy beneath the surface , where something is just so cold snd lacking an emotion about it that takes away from everything and leaves a void in ur heart when u watch it. Like something vital is absent somewhere and idk. Can’t put my finger on it specifically .. but I’m seeing it so much in many of the collections / shows from not only haute couture, but Dior and a few other well known designers/ collections. Bn like this since about 2016.. why is everything so dark and looming in the fashion industry now days where it once had a vibrant story being conveyed ? The feminine , lovely side of fashion has been lost to androgyny and emptiness in many ways despite the intricacies in the work I’ve seen.
