Tsung-I Dow, better known as "Dr. Dow," was the actor who played Mr. Wang. A former political refugee from China, this was the only film appearance Dr. Dow ever made. He was a professor of East Asian history at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), as wisdomtrees indicated. Dr. Dow served in this position from 1967-1997. He passed away in July of 2017, a few months shy of his 102nd birthday.
