  • I show you how to make a photocopy grunge technique in photoshop. We will use filters, lending modes, and adjustment layers to get that grungey look you are going for. This can be applied to flyers, posters, and that edgy project your client is looking for!

    Hi, thanks for your video.
    I have a problem, when I tried to use the brush to focus the face, doesn't work so I don't know what I do.
    I'm learning english yet, so it's some difficult follow you step by step.

      You have to select the smart filter layer which is below the smart object image you just create. Then you select the brush tool (B) and make sure that your primary color is black. Then just use the blush as you wish :) Hope this helps

    The graphic pen effect only applies to the subjects and not the background in my photoshop. I tried both using the effect on a smart object with a plain background and only the the subjects without a background but I get the same result. Do you know the issues maybe? Thanks for the quick and detailed video! :)

      Hi...I would merge your layers before you take your design into Filter Gallery. On a new layer, hit Shift+Option+Command+E. Then convert to a smart object and go to Filter Gallery. Also, be sure you hit D on the keyboard before you go into Filter Gallery. Let me know if that works.

    OMG thank you so much, that key thing u said at @03:30 about making sure u change the foreground and background colour to black and white literally was the neurone for my headache for the past day, been trying to work out why my pics were always a funny colour, looked everywhere online, it was only just out of interest I clicked on your video...Thank yoooou.

    Im running in some troubles. When i export the picture, the lines diappear. Do you know what causes it?

    • @postergrind
      @postergrind  Před 6 měsíci

      Hmmm. Not sure. Maybe a quick solution is to create a new layer and hit Shift, option, command and E. This will copy all bottom layers. Now try to save out.

      @@postergrind i tried that too but it didn't work :( Had to screenshot the pic as a makeshift method....

      I have the same problem, were you able to figure it out?
      EDIT: I figured it out, the image was too big. If you reduce the image size before export, the smart filters will export properly

    Is there anything extra that we have to do when you plan to make it into a shirt?

  • @demonovationable
    @demonovationable Před 11 měsíci

    Why 250? If you want to print shouldn't you do 300dpi?

    • @postergrind
      @postergrind  Před 11 měsíci

      When you work on large files with many, many layers you usually want to build at 150 and then if your design goes to print you can increase to 300. ...a finisher will usually do that for you if working for an agency.
