She looks so much cuter than I expected, I really like this body sculpt, I hope at some point they’ll give this body the click knees along with some arm articulation, like the LOL OMG setup.
It is so sad to see what they’ve done with this doll line
I do like the faces on the swim line dolls. Now "all" we need to do is a re-root, re-body with full articulation, and steal some clothes from another doll to get back up to the level of a few years ago.

I tried to straight my Harleys hair and her hair burned while other dolls at the same heat didn’t. So maybe this sunny has the same hair as Harley Limestone

Mga said they don’t use poly, and people have reported Sky and Vi to have nylon, I have no reason to doubt that.
While I’m glad you have no reason to doubt that! I did heat tests and it is def not the standard nylon they use, it singed right off at 400 degrees while karmas hair wasn’t effected at all. I believe it’s poly, but there’s a chance it’s a lower grade of nylon, either way it feels fine, just not as nice as usual.
@@PancakeBoss it’s hard to say bc blonde nylon kinda sucks, all of my blonde dolls are a pain to restyle. I’m honestly thinking ruby and sunny have poly whereas sky and violet have the nylon, which is kind of weird but mh has done that before where not every doll in a lineup has the same hair fiber. I’m just happy violet has nylon, swim violet is high key the prettiest violet

u/pointmini e-mailed MGA and they told them they never use poly on Rainbow High.
Which i'm slightly doubtful of because anytime i've reached out to customer service, 98% of the time it's someone working remotely from India and they don't really have answers for anything.
Seeing in pics and here I can see that it looks lower quality than any other Sunny's hair. So i don't know what's going on.
Yeah…. I mean most designers I’ve seen don’t even know the difference between hair fibers so a random customer service agent isn’t who I’d be ready to believe either. After doing my heat tests I can confirm it’s definitely not the standard nylon they use for RH. It singed right off at 400 degrees while karmas hair was just fine
It’s tough to say because yellow/blonde nylon is pretty crap and hard to work with, see Delilah fields for example. And on top of that, series 3 is notorious for having frizzy nylon, and since sky and vi appear to have nylon I don’t think it’s poly.

why would you burn the hair to test if its poly? you can just get the hair wet to test this
poly can't absorb water while nylon/other types can, so you will notice if the hair absorbs the water and dries slower.
poly cannot absorb conditioner too
I’m aware of how poly reacts to water as well but I find heat to be an easier and more definitive way to figure it out
