Perseverance Rover Crosses The Dusty Sand Dunes Area Of Neretva Vallis For Search Of Ancient Life

So far, the Mars machinery has traversed some 17 miles (27 kilometers) after it was lowered to the area by skycrane on Feb. 18, 2021. The robot's objective is set in stone: "Seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith for possible Earth return," explained by NASA.
