Should you Read the Barsoom Series

I recently read the first three books in the Barsoom series and wanted to share my thoughts on them. Starting with Princess of Mars we follow John Carter the man from Virginia who goes to Mars and ends up fighting and falling in love.
The reason I picked them up is because of the guys doing the Marsathon.
