Discovering and developing new techniques is for me the most interesting part of this hobby, thanks for the video

Vallejo has an interesting 2 step rust from the model air line in this set I bought, one is metallic the other just flat... kinda neat.

I just found your channel and I love your simplistic approach, and subscribed immediately. as you said in your intro video on the main channel page, too many channels shows such a level of results that a newbie like me feels more intimidated than inspired. so I'm really appreciating your work. just one (small) thing: often in your videos you mention other videos you made (eg. at 6m14s in this one) and although you imply they're somewhere linked, they're not. I assume there's a (steep?) learning curve in producing youtube content, using cards etc...

Thanks for the sub! CZcams cards are a hit and miss affair - they are linked, but sometimes CZcams doesn't attach them for some reason! If you can point out specific instances I will certainly look into them.

@@MannsModelMoments as I said, in this video, when you talk about how to make weathering powders at around 6m12s

@@pgabrieli That's odd, as the card is enabled in CZcams and appears for me (as a pop up strip in the top right hand corner) when I view the video

With the citadel technical paint, they have been mentioned in a few videos about gw leaks and rumours. I am not 100% sure of course, but the rumours are that they will be retiring the technical range later on in the year. Some things that make me think this is likely is the sources have had a good record with getting things right, but also gw wants to improve it's environmental impact and image and the technical paint have a number of micro plastics, for which there's campaigning to have banned, which will probably happen at some point, probably in the eu first I would expect.
So might be worth stocking up if you particularly like those.
The current hotness in mini painting currently is the dirty down range of rust pigments.

Great video. I already knew all weathering materials, though, except for the pens and the graphite powder. Can this Gundam pen be manipulated with white spirit?
At the beginning your voice is only on the left channel, which is a bit disturbing when using headphones. I also cannot see the linked videos.

To be honest I'm not sure about the pens, I've never tried! I would have thought alcohol or IPA would have, but not sure how well it works.
As for the audio, I'm aware about this video, but unfortunately you can't edit videos on YT once they're uploaded...but made me more vigilant in the future! The videos are linked, but for some reason don't show up on some platforms.

I'm getting back into model cars 🚗do you have some tips 😏

It depends on what sort of cars you're looking at and what you're trying to represent. If enough people are interested I can do a video focussed on cars specifically in the future.
