Why doesn’t your video have a recipe and supply list? This video is not a tutorial. Please check out the helpful links above.
How do I get started in soapmaking? Start off by researching. Educate and then experiment. Be sure to follow all proper safety precautions. A great starting place is the beginner cold process soapmaking series by SoapQueenTV here on CZcams. You can then purchase all the supplies you need at Bramble Berry. Lovin Soap Studio also has a beginner series on CZcams.
Why don't you share your cold process soap recipe? Our recipe is proprietary. We are contractually obligated to keep our recipe a secret. I do occasionally share a test recipe. I highly recommend Bramble Berry, Lovin' Soap, and The Nerdy Farm Wife for free recipes. Those resources are a great starting point and then you can tweak your favorite recipe to make it your own.
Where do you buy your oils? We purchase our oils in bulk at Blossom Bulk, Soapers Choice, Jedwards International, and Wholesale Supplies Plus.
Where did you buy your molds? My husband builds all my wood molds. My silicone molds are from various suppliers.
Where did you buy your soap planer? My husband built the soap planer for me.
Where did you buy your soap cutter? We purchased our soap cutter at Bud’s Woodshop.
Where did you buy your soap loaf splitter? Our loaf splitter was purchased from Smith Creek Studio.
Where do you buy your soaping containers? My pitchers are from School Masters and my large plastic containers are from Webstaurant Store.
Where do you buy your fragrance oils? We purchase our oils from many different suppliers. We don’t have a one-stop-shop for all of our oils. We blend the majority of the fragrances we work with.
Where do you buy your colors? We buy our colors at Bramble Berry, Nurture Soap, and Mad Micas.
Where do you buy your coconut milk? I was buying So Delicious Organic Coconut Milk on Amazon but I think you all bought them out! Ha! I now buy Native Forest Organic Coconut Milk. Please don't buy them out. I need coconut milk. lol
Where do you buy your soap boxes? We usually buy our boxes from Wholesale Supplies Plus or Elements Bath and Body.
How do you design and print your labels? I use Adobe Photoshop to design my labels. I use full sheet labels and print with our HP Laser Jet Pro printer.
Where do you buy your packaging materials? We buy our packaging materials at various suppliers including Paper Mart, ULine, Nashville Wraps, Eco Enclose, and Amazon.
Do you give classes? No, I do not offer classes. However, if you need help, leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do.
Why are the comments disabled on your older videos? Due to some very negative, hateful, and vile comments, I am no longer allowing commenting on older videos. The older videos seem to be the ones targeted. Newer videos may have approved comments for a time. I welcome decent, respectful comments.
I love these videos. I don't make soap but your voice and energy are so pleasant, calming, and uplifting. Thank you so much for this content!!!
Thank you! I am happy to know that!
I like Andes mints all of the time! They make In a candy bar form now that I buy and sneak them in my purse so no one will k ow I have them! Hehe!
Loved when you said,” It’s fine. Everything is just fine.” Wish more folks had your attitude when things don’t go exactly as planned.
Thank you! Soapmaking is definitely a go with the flow situation.
I love that the center is thicker than the brown part of the soap. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without purple 💜 in my house. Beautiful Soaps. Stay safe and well.
Yess here is Holly again with a long video! :D I love this Holiday Series!
Thank you! I am happy you enjoyed them.
I love this design so much, only problem is I genuinely want to eat it. It's too tempting!
Haha! Thank you!

Those look like delicious mint chocolate bars. So pretty.
It looks like a giant yummy Andies candy soap. Looks fabulous
This is quite lovely. I bet it smells wonderful.
I love how this turned out. It is so real looking.
Thank you! It smells so good!
Ahh this was a lovely treat for a rainy (for me) Monday! One of my favorite parts was watching the chocolate soap flood in. Also it's very, very much something that makes me want for an Andes or two.
I love that part too! We bought some Andes mints but I haven't even had one yet. GEEZ! LOL
Pretty soaps made by a pretty lady. Thanks for sharing Holly. Love from Pretoria, RSA
Thank you!
What a fun soap! ❤️
Thank you!
Love them!
Thank you Jane!
It's such a treat to watch you make soap so thank you for that and Merry Christmas to you and your family Holly! ❤️
Thank you Wendy! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Genius, looks good enough to eat! So well done Holly. You never disappoint!
Thank you!
Holly! Hey! The first and last batch you make so remind of making mud pies in my Nans' garden. ( in the nicest possible way) we used to put different flowers on them and "sell" them in our pretend shop. Memories.....So Thank You as ever💜
That's fun! I love memories!
WOW,!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE A GENIUS/ PRO...I sell soaps, but never spend that much time on my creations🤠
The soap that looks so delicious is lovely.
Thank you for the good video.💕
Thank you!
Very pretty and festive!
Thank you Sandra!
This has been one of my favorites. My bar is almost gone. It has such a delightful chocolate scent.
YAY! That is wonderful news. Thank you!
Mmmmmm....looking forward to spring, this reminds me of Easter with all of the chocolate that comes with it. Ha! Hugz, Tree
I have ideas for a spring version as well!
During the fast forward on the second batch of white, red and green I was seeing some Pollack action going on:)
That's fun! Thank you Penny!
These are awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Shelby!
I love the red, green and white middle! I made an Andes soap too! Mine is the soft mint green in the middle to look just like the candy. I wanted that smooth flat top you got but didn't happen because I did a single batch divided in thirds. My peppermint middle slowed trace and took forever to set up enough for the chocolate top so I ended up doing a mica drizzle and swirling the top which came out pretty. I used dark chocolate FO from Indigo. If you've never tried it, it is a fantastic, rich chocolate scent. And mine sat around for 10 days waiting to be cut because I couldn't cut it without having some Andes on hand to eat afterwards!
Thank you for the recommendation Ali. I do struggle to find good chocolate fragrances. I have a lot here that I never touch. Haha! I was thinking of something more like the Andes mint for spring. 😀
@@moriversoap You're welcome! I got totally lucky with that one and don't think I'll ever try another. I have seen so many people post in the last couple months about bad chocolate and bad coffee scents from quite a few different suppliers.
Love it!!
Thank you Penny!
love the video and I think your soap look amazingly pretty.
Thank you!
that looks so amazing...
Thank you!
I snagged one of these and it smells so amazing!!!
Thank you Kaylee! YAY!
Oooo love that red 😲
It's so good!
Gorgeous bars!!!

This soap looks like an ice cream sandwich. So pretty and looks yummy.🤩😍
Thank you Ann!

Love this design and still sad not having to see this year holiday collection soap from you. Please come back soon❤
Thank you! It did feel weird not doing the holiday products this year. But from a personal standpoint, it was such a lovely season for me.

I'm having fun with it!

Uh oh! Sounds yummo though!
Andre's Mints are for any time of the year ! luv it = wish I had smelivision ....
That is true Marg! Is it Olive Garden that gives them out with the check at the end of the meal? It was always such a treat! I bought a tub of Andes Mints from Amazon but haven't gotten it yet. LOL
Woooooohooooo!!
CONGRATS ON THE 100K!!!!! 🥰
Thank you!
Looks so tempting to eat 😁
Haha! Thank you!
They look delicious 😋
They sure smell good too!
Yay!!
Looks amazing to eat
Haha thanks!
Hermoso
I made a similar one a few days ago using NS MP Base but mine only has 1 level of Chocolate - I added Shea Butter, Vitamin E Oil & Scented it Cocoa Mint.
But yours looks great.
How fun!
I am so impressed how you make soap! Obviously you are very experience!! I have been making soap for a few months now and I am having trouble with colors because i am color blind!!!
Thank you! Yes, that might be hard to work with color.
Holly that's yummy, I would have a problem not to eat it. I know it smells amazing 😊❣
Haha! It sure does smell great!
Even with a single bar cutter, you slice through those loaves like a pro! 🔪 🧼 🔪💞
Thank you Brenda!
My foster baby had a really tough day today, so we spent all afternoon and evening snuggling and binging on your channel! So relaxing! This might be a really dumb question; is the soap sticky before it cures? Like, how do the layers stick together?
Awe thank you! It's not a dumb question at all. Sticky I guess would be one way to describe it. Even though it sets up, it's still soft and I could easily mess it up between layers. When the soap goes through the gel phase, it heats up, and those layer really meld together. Once it saponifies and cools down from gelling, it's hard enough to cut. From there, the exposure to air during the cure time allows the soap to evaporate excess water and it becomes harder.
That really looks delicious! I love this one!❤️💚❤️
Thank you!
Oh my, I liked the Rainbow version a lot, but this one is even better. Just spectacular - I can almost smell it from here! I love the rich chocolate brown you made. Do you think the Bronze Brown mica would make a nice, warm brown even without as much FO discoloration? Haven't tried that particular one, but in the past have been disappointed with some other brown micas, when I wanted a deep, warm color but ended up with cool brown (or even gray-brown) instead. Happy Xmas and New Year to you and yours!
Thank you! Merry Christmas! I understand the brown mica disappointment! Looking at the pictures at Nurture, Bronze Brown should go darker. It does look a bit more silvery than Mocha brown. I used Mocha yesterday and it did alright. I haven't tried Lustrous Brown but it looks like it's more warm. I have been trying to remember what one I like from Mad Micas. I think it is Tall, Dark, and Handsome.
Oh, these bars look like you could take a bite lol! I love Andies mints in the fridge too 😍, I like cold chocolate 🍫 😋. These look so yummy, and I've had soap that drips brown in the shower but I didn't mind. Thanks Holly. 🥰
Me too! Cold chocolate is the best!
Ice cream sandwich vibe
Yes for sure as intended! I love ice cream sandwiches...don't really eat them though.
Loving your videos! How do you cure your soaps? Do you have a walk-in fridge? Or do you have a way to force the soap to gel? Or do you simply let the cure at room temperature?
Thanks! Our cold process soaps cure on trays in our work studio. I don't normally need to force the soaps to gel because the large batches in the wood will gel on their own. If I do need to help it along, I will either cover well with towels and/or set the mold on a heating pad for a short while.
Where did you get your cutter from I love it
That one was from Smith Creek Studio. Be sure to check out the video description for more information.
Hello!!where did you buy the containers you use the mix the soap In
Hello! Most of them came from Schoolmasters.com but you can also find similar on Amazon.
Hi Holly, in your video you mention that you sometimes plane your soaps, would you mind telling me the brand that you use and where you purchased it.....I recently purchased a plane and it is useless....thank you so much. Lynn
My husband built it for me. Be sure to check out the video description for more info.
do you get lye pockets when you have lye chunks in your lye solution?
I have never experienced that at all. I do strain the lye if I feel like the lint is 'crunchy' from sitting for a couple of days. Otherwise, the fresh breaks down well.
Hi. Beautiful soap. Do you mind sharing which oil/butter you use that starts out so dark?
Thank you Lark! I was using some deodorized cocoa butter from Blossom Bulk that was crazy dark.
@@moriversoap Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Hey Holly! I’m wondering why you don’t cut like 4 loaves together?
We find that the loaves move around too much and it's hard to get an accurate cut.
How many hours do you have to wait beore you pour the second and third layer?
The layers usually set up while I am cleaning up from the previous layer. So really only 5-10 minutes.
How do you know how much lye to use for each layer ?
Can you get the total for the full batch and divide it by 3 , since you have 3 layers ? Or do you do it different ?
I usually just do three separate batches.
You mentioned in your video that the brown may, over time bleed into the white center. Since it's been some time since you made these soaps can you enlighten me to if this happened? I have a soap I would like to do but was concerned with the same factor so I've procrastinated on actually making it. I think these are abosolutely beautiful but I'm unsre how my customers would feel about the brown bubbles.
Yeah, I probably won't ever make this one again. I don't like brown bubbles. I have so many customers that it doesn't bother, but it's just a thing for me. The brown does bleed into the other colors a bit. It's super hard to avoid.
Thank You so much for your reply. It has been very helpful. I wasn;t sure about brown bubbles either. the soap you made looked amazing but I;m not sure Im brave enough to try it! Thanks again for your reply! Happy Soaping.
Those look like nanaimo bars. Something like it anyway.
I've never had one myself but I've heard that they look similar.
Do u have a book with measurements and ingredients?
I don't but thank you for your interest.
IM 30 YEARS OLD AND I WANT TO EAT IT!
Haha!
