This is Daiman's best Superinpei performance although he still pales in comparison to Antonio Diaz, who was a master of this Kata as for Ryo He is one of the best performers out there and he makes Ohan Dai look good despite how unimpressive it is
Checked out Antonio Diaz and his performance based on what you said. I can see why it will appear better....... But Damien's performance is the one which truly Impresses me. Antonio did not exhibit Original Meaning or Understanding of Crane's Form. Basically what that kata was made For and From. What it's about. Damien's performance however..... no matter how much less "smooth" it appears........does.

Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing some legit typical punches....... along with alot of utterly useless movements that do nothing as it wasn't done right. Legit punching with waving dance movements ? When actually every movement had a point to them in karate. Superinpei is Superinpei.....a Method of Body Power projection. To Demonstrate..... how you utilise specific body mechanics...... for Increased Strike Force/kinetics. Quintero displayed that, Diaz didn't. To me anyway.

@@lijonsa_music oh, no doubt he is great. But I'm disappointed to see such high marks, for a kata that screams playing safe. He just gets away with it, in a final no less.
@@TheGalaxyfighter I would not call Ohan Dai a playing safe kata, its simplicity is what makes it difficult it is a very technical kata, so performing it requires a really exciting player like Ryo cause technical kata are hard and can easily lose against, the Flashy Kata such as superinpei and Chatanyara kushanku it just shows what a master Ryo is that he is able to pull off the victory using a technical kata against a more flashy one, honestly though I would not Use Ohan Dai as my Final Kata I would rather go with something flashy like Unsu, Chatanyara kushanku, Annan or My favourite Superinpei

@@TheGalaxyfighter well these are all world class Athletes, And Ryo is perfectly capable of Doing "high difficulty Kata" as you call them, His Superinpei is amazing, and So is his Chatanyara, and his Annan, OMG out of this world it's a mystery why he doesn't chose any of those for finals lately, but check out his Other Kata the guy trumps every one in those Kata, cause he is able to make Ohan Dai look good now the high difficulty Kata he just does amazing, he is world champion for that reason though I agree he seems to overuse Ohan Dai lately, but he is very capable of beating Damian with Superinpei, Chatanyara or any other Kata cause of his power speed, hip movement and smoothness
Pls dont waste your life misjugding the things that you have no idea about. If u still need to do so just try to do a single sequence of that katas with that kind of perfection in power,balance,form,etc. Maybe you will undeestand what i'm saying,friend🙂
