I discovered this video in 2023 and it still look new to me. This video was so stylistically ahead of it's time, it's hard to believe it came out in 1993. Her ability to evolve and expand artistically is unparalleled. I'm honestly not even a big Madonna fan, don't listen to her music often, but everyone ought to respect this woman's body of work. The world will never see a career this brilliant again.

I remember when it came out, saying it was "ahead of its time" is sooo overrated. The video was fantastic but Madonna was already known for pushing the envelope, Mark Romanek had already been making good videos for a while, that's the same year when he shot Lenny Kravitz's "Are you gonna go my way" so no, it was not ahead of Mark or Madonna's time.

The whole thing is art. I would not consider myself to be a pure Madonna fan in entirety, if we were to incorporate viewpoints, but I admire certain aspects of her which she has used to her advantage throughout her whole career. She was the first "shock artist queen" to the mainstream media and then she became a humanitarian. I support her humanitarian views and actions but not necessary her political viewpoints or methods. Despite all of that, Madonna is a highly intelligent woman who should never be underestimated.

In fact, the album was very dark and cold. ''Secret Garden'', ''Erotica'' and ''Where life Begins was sexual and the most sexual songs of the album.
My mom canceled a surprise party for me because I bought that “dirty album” which she never listened to. Grrrrrrr!

With "You'll see, "Take a bow", and "Live to tell", "Rain" complete a perfection circle. She shows all the Valor of her voice, which is perfect, beyond this world, and further. Agreed.. Live to Tell, This Used To Be My Playground.. but for me her first try at singing a ballad stands out.. "Crazy For You" the lyrics to that song were written by John Bettis.. Who wrote some of the biggest hit singles for the Carpenters in the 1970's.. The way Madonna sings Crazy For You.. you can almost hear her invoking the spirit of the late Karen Carpenter.

Anybody knows the name of the director or director of photography? A nice branding of the trade MADONNA and shows the artist as her best as a delicate ballet dancer just looking at her hands. Some of the best directors of cinema had begin their carreers filming spots and music vidclips like popular David Fincher.
