Hello Mr. Zarinbal, first of all your videos are very helpful, thanks for putting it for free for people like us to learn. my questions are: i am looking to get idle hours from vissim simulation specifically for trucks. do we have to average the sum of stop delays to get the idle hours? or is there another possible way to do it can you also describe a way to get the results from network performance? i am trying to get the two intersections network performance. help greatly appreciated. Dear Mr. Zarinbal I am a student doing dissertation and i have encountered a problem.Will you please help me out with this.I have entered the traffic volume of all incoming lanes to a intersection .but to my surprise the output volume in one of the leg crosses 32. i have checked all nodes ,links and data entry but could not find any error /solution.more over how to calibrate such a big error? Regards
hi can u help me in this task.Modelling Task For this coursework you will need to vary the demand levels to establish the greatest level of demand that the junction can manage. You should create a model of the junction using the information above and then (for example by applying a range of scaling factors equally to all values in the demand matrix/matrices) investigate what level of traffic growth can be reached before the junction fails to operate satisfactorily. You should consider growth in vehicle flows (cars and HGVs) alone, and growth in both vehicle and pedestrian flows simultaneously.
Hlo Sir, I have doubt My project is Three legged intersection, after providing signal heads, in one line during the red signal, all vehicles are stopping but we want to allow left turn vehicles are free to pass .Can you please let me know how to solve this problem?

Hi. I think the best suggestion is to review the Roundabout examples that comes with VISSIM. There are 4 of them. Open help menu, Examples, open demo folder. Its should be located in C:\Users\Public\Documents\PTV Vision\PTV Vissim 11\Examples Demo. Especially the Roundabout Buehl.DE
Sorry. This is the only tutorial I have. I suggest you to read user manual of VISSIM software. It is detailed and has lot of information. My tutorial will help you to run the application and basics.

Can't we connect 3 lane road to a 2 lane road? I want all 3 lanes to be connected.. So
if i have a video record and i want to simulate it (the simulation exactly as the video) in Vissim can i do that !
