Jeremy Lin was literally bullied that day. Imagine Prime Lebron, Dwade, Bosh, Battier, Chalmers all in one mission is to go at Jeremy Lin 😂😂😂
Mario bullied him man
Shit was so embarrassing lmao niggas have the nerve to blame Melo for lin not playing good ! Na Miami heat exposed that man so bad
He was scoring 25 a night. They had to stop him. And he folded under pressure.
This game shows the difference between all-stars and starters. This game occurred after Linsanity blew up, meaning teams now have him on their scouting reports and developed ways to counter him. In addition, being one of the first options, you also need the stamina to deal with all the better defenders guarding you. That's what makes all-stars special, they can't be stopped strategically and cant be stopped physically.
Exactly. Well said. Linsanity was nothing but a product of him surprising everyone because they didnt know who he was and how he played. Usualy in the NBA circuit players know eachother and know their weaknesses. They watch videos of opposing players, strategize how to stop them.
Jeremy Lin was an unknown thrusted in the spotlight and he took advantage of opposing players not knowing his style. Once Linsanity blew - he was on the radar and every opposing guard studied him, did their homework and were able to crack him. Pretty embarrasing to watch how they closed him down and exposed him for being nothing but a solid bench warmer.
He was not a superstar despite Houston even taking a chance with him making him a starter. He was never been able to successfuly shake off elite defenders and this is what separates men from boys in the NBA.
Many noobs bought into the linsanity BS hype. There is a reason he was never successful after Linsanity and its not because he is Asian. its because he is weak physically for the NBA and too slow for a guard.
Dont even gonna go there mentioning him being liability on the defense that every player his size and bigger can exploit.
He has IQ ofc and decent speed. But when it comes to purely defined elements and skilset - he doesnt. He is below average 3 point shooter and below average 2 p shooter. Playoffs jeremy lin is at the very bottom of the league.
New Yorkers and their prophesity for hype is legendary lol.
3:44 def some racist undertones with how miami played lin, idc about the shot clock, why they got 3 dudes sprinting at him..
I think you forgot Lin is still a rookie. Losing that game was not a big deal. Lebron team is one of the best teams that year anyway. Melo was not even trying to play that game, he want to see Lin fail. What I saw in that game was 1 player vs 5 players. Race and jealousy was a big factor in that lost.
@@sxnses there was 2seconds on the shot clock idiot that means they only have time for one shot of course there’s an aggressive close out
@@sxnses when people use racist in that way it makes the word lose all value. The defensive scheme was effective because Lin game was easy to scheme against. Are they not supposed to defend him or something? Wtf???
Since the Heat massacre, His avgs were 12.7 pts 6.5 ast 1.7 stl 3.8 turnovers per GM.
Lin really tried to get those last two points at the end lol
LOL
@Lone Blade typical asian. eat everything
And failed at that lol
I'm a Knicks fan, and I was actually happy when this happened because it brought everyone right back down to earth. I hated everyone even asking the question, whose team is this? Melo and amare's or Jeremy lin's. like that's even a legitimate question. Lin faced a team that actually prepared for him and made it a point to shut him down.
This is the highest compliment they could have gave him playing D like that
This sounds a bit racist
@@Vadeem3 Defense is not racist
@@Vadeem3Asians are so emotional bro
That’s the whole point tho init? They weren’t trying THIS hard on defense against melo, but when it comes to JLin then they go extra try hard mode 🧐
That game killed Linsanity
that was Carmelo

@@_lilbruh bro I know this comment 3 years old bu u stupid as fuck for saying this Chalmers was playin 2016 ball back in 2011 and if u disagree u a fuckin nephew
you can actually see how frustrated throughout this game Jeremy was, Miami did a great job at double teaming him, they actually find him as a threat. Like mentioned they were all over him left and right.
They didnt see him as a threat. This was to send a message that he wasnt all that great
BlaK Swan of course he was getting all the attention and praise so naturally competition will react to that. And it’s the NBA everybody gotta earn ur respect, this was more of a test for him and he failed.
@@fried_riceee Yep this was the game where the question about who Jeremy Lin is. Was he legit or not. Turns out he was not.
They were only doubling on screens. They played him straight up most of the time.
The heat was too much fire power only one team could barely handle them and that was the spurs
This was not fair, people forget how great of a defensive team this Heat team was. I watched this this season they did this to numerous teams and their star players when they were dialed on like this day
after this game he went downhill
I remember watching this game live, never seen such an embarassing game in my life. lol
must hurt huh ?
i was laughing so hard at lin....he was scared to dribble up court on rio....the heat made him look like a child...this is where tebow mania and linsanity died.....rio made everyone notice him after this game......i wanted and knew this would happen but even I as a heat fan felt bad for him at the end....he didnt know what to do..the embarrassing game before the all star break and also everyone in new york and all asians were watching cause it was his first real nationally broadcast game... and miami targeted his flaws....rio was guarding lin like he was magic...I have never seen a player take someone out like he did to lin...when miami rio wade and james put on that pressure on guards the way harper mj and pippen did miami was unbeatable....defense wins..it leads to dunks....and changes the rhythm...lin got nervous
Nigga always make excuses for lin hes just not a allstar caliber but he is still a great sixth man tho
Asmosis Jones wasn’t just rio, it was the constant hedging and switching. The Heat were truly scary defensively. I imagine that when you have LeBron off ball bearing down on you it can be hard to even think
It seems like Lin is one of those players that can only do well when his confidence is up, and that first mistake at the beginning destroyed his confidence and he was unable to recover for that whole game. He was not experienced in dealing with that pressure.
It wasn't just a drop in confidence. You have much more athletic players pressuring you, quick guards guarding you at the perimeter and if you happen to get by them, you got the long athletic players waiting inside crashing in on you. He would have needed a nasty mid range game or solid 3 pt game to even stand a chance.
zerocal76 It was a drop a confidence, you don’t need to be athletic to get past those guys you just need to make the right moves and plays. So many times he made the wrong move causing turnovers and empty possessions. He was nervous as hell
@@fried_riceee I agree confidence is a big factor but come on man, a lot of good defense comes down to being quick on your feet and good reflexes to keep up w the offensive player. You can shutdown a typical player outside of the post by cutting him off and contesting his shots well and that comes down to a little bit of discipline but mostly athleticism. His confidence would only take him so far, esp when the Heat are pressing; they were playing much harder than usual against him on D. They wanted NO linsanity and its clear
zerocal76 it was definitely a confidence/ mindset issue here. He destroyed very “athletic players” such as Kobe Bryant and the lakers just a couple days earlier
zerocal76 ya of course athleticism takes you over that hump to being excellent. you can tell he was so hesitant to even press up or drive anymore, his quickness and speed was gone bc he couldn’t make up his mind on what to do. For example, tony parker had success VS the heat without turning it over as much bc he was fast and confident, not athletic at all. just really smart and he was shorter.
The Heat weren't having that #Linsanity shit 🤣
I remember this game. MIA were trying their asses off bc of the hype on Lin haha
They hadn’t lost in two weeks tho it’s like fighting a team of navy seals with a hand gun lmao
They even challenged his last shot, even denying him of 2 "garbage points". They basically bullied him and "showed him who's the boss". But you gotta give it to Lin coz he didn't back down and tried his best but he just couldn't overcome the Heat defense and intensity vs him.
Just shows how insecure they are

They literally ended that mans whole career 😂 😂 I remember watching that game you could tell they had already discussed how they was gone lock this dude up the whole team took as personal responsibility to not let him score a point 😂 😂
They finally had a scouting report on him. He was a shooting guard who had subpar ball control playing at point guard, so naturally he played terrible once there’s a full court press. Linsanity was so overrated

Wow you are so smart
Destroyed Kobe? He scored 38 on Fisher, which was one of the worst defenders of all time 😂
sounds like what lebron said about him predicting kobe's 81 pts game, get out of here lebron
Cap
Had load management been a thing during this era, Heat woulda won more than 2 ships tbh. They play every game like its the finals which resulted in multiple injuries.
Load management existed back then Popovich was doing it
How? They lost to the Mavs because of scheme, lost to the Spurs because of scheme and almost lost to the Spurs the first time because of scheme
What's load management have to do with that?
@@troylee4196wrong they lost to the Mavs because LeBron choked. That's the one and only reason
Melo looks pissed
nah he should be happy that linsanity ended lol becasue it would mean that the offense would once again go to him
This is not a bad game, this is Jeremy Lin's game. A bad game is when your shots aren't falling, or you're playing sloppy basketball. This is has NOTHING to do with being on or off. If you can't drive left, can't bring the ball up the court, and can't really do anything positive it's not an off game/
it could happen to you.
this is one of the best customized defence that I have ever watched, especially for a beginner who does not have good driving and shooting skills
In fairness, Chalmers had a good defensive game, and Cole was on Lin a lot too, and he's a beast defensively.... Still think Lin is overhyped, but this performance is well below what he's capable of on a normal night...
this is the way he's playing now in the last 5-6 games... to be fair his jumpers were not off by much and was pretty decent shot selection, but a miss is a miss.
Yea this was all Melos fault 😂😂😂
Miami Heat says, "Welcome to the NBA, Jeremy."
Good motivational video for Lin before the playoff.
the lin fluke
Lin's teammates obviously didn't have a great chemistry. It's not Jeremy Lin' weakness. His teammates didn't play well on that day.
Actual facts
Disagree 2012 heat was nasty on Defense Mario and Cole was on him all game long picking him half court
I disagree
Lol...Lin's teammates... blah blah blah. Somehow Lin had no responsibilities. GTFOH
His teammates made him incapable of keeping his handle or making wide-open shots? Okay.
mario chalmers really hit lin with that hof heart crusher first play of the game and dude stayed cold all game lmao
Looking at this game he really should have relied on his teammates.
Right he should've had double digit assists.
Yeah he has terrible tunnel vision
lmao feb 20th "carmelo returns"
chalmers, cole, and anthony really defended him well. chalmers got away with a foul the 1:08 mark. i'm impressed lin was still able to blow by chalmers on many of those possessions..
Never realized how bad his court vision is
U can discern a player’s vision by on one bad game he has👏🏻🤭
The Heat are more talented, and aggressive. Its not any one man's fault.
Here after the Linsanity doc trailer. Let’s go Heat 🔥🔥🔥.

this is the learning process!
Do anybody know where I can watch the full game and game 7 of the 2012 east coast finals Heat vs Celtic

what song is that in the back at the stadium at 6:55
😭😭😭😂😂😂😭😭😭 this was the D J.r and iman Mande up they minds and said “ONE DAY WE GONNA PLAY ON A TEAM LIKE THAT”
I really like this video.
This heat defense was something else
he is still learning the game...... he plays 2 mins every night for his life and then all the sudden he has to play 38 mins in the league, it is hard to not get turnovers. Let's just say he is pretty damn good for a player who was not drafted
Actually is is terrible and everyone knows he was pushed hard by the NBA because of the huge Chinese Market NBA has. After Yao retired - viwership of NBA in China fell down so they tried to do something. Ofc it failed miserably. Asians are not built for basketball, unless they are from selective breeding like Yao was. Even Yao had injury problems.
oh man when i saw cole dunk it at 1:53 thought he was going to get injured like bogut did...good thing he was alright though
This game killed Lin not melo
Love to see it
His tough rebound and kick out to melo for 3 was his only other highlight this game
How ironic. Maybe if he passed more this game wouldn't have went so bad for him.
I don't understand why lin never passed to carmelo
Because he feels he was a star
Because Carmelo never passed to anyone. I can tell you personally as a Knicks fan for 35 years that Carmelo was the worst player we've ever had. The great black hole that swallows shots and destroys teams

I love j-Lin but I think Melo was on point when he said that 14 million dollar third year was ridiculous. J-Lin is essentially going into his second year in the league therefore, he hasn't earned such a lucrative contract yet. However I do feel like he has alot of potential but he shouldn't be getting paid more than rondo. That's absurd.
The Knicks overpaid worse
They mention this game today on ESPN. Plug your stuff.. David Fizdale interview
That interview brought me here
Linsignificant. Linvisible. I hate how the media hyped him up, but I'm glad linsanity has been dialed down a few notches.
Lin played so dumb this game he kept tryna throw runners that led to charges he had atleast 2 men open each time.
This is why I wish the 2012 or 2013 heat could've time traveled to 2015-2019 to face the warriors. I feel all the great defenders the heat had especially at the guard positions would've hassled Steph Curry, even moreso than a Delly or Patrick Beverley. He would've had to deal with Chalmers , Cole and wade taking turns on him , and occasionally LeBron, while the heat can switch and rotate while being able to trap out high. Curry would've had tons of turnovers while barely being able to get off clean shots. During this heat era the only guards who had good games against them was a short list, Westbrook, rondo, rose, parker and MCW first NBA game. That's about it. And each of those players had just 1 or 2 good games mixed in with a ton of subpar games. In my mind the best matchup would've been 2016 warriors vs 2013 heat
People are ignorant, they always use this one game sample to say JLin isn't solid when his other 20 something games shows he's a solid player. JLin is young and can improve to be a very good player, haters are going to hate
Lin isn't a bad player. He just never faced a defense like Miamis' until this game, which exposed his weaknesses
Was a Linsanity fan at that time but have always been a Lebron fan so when i heard they were up againts the KING i was like "welp they about to get a wake up call"
Lin has a shot, but no fundamentals. He will have to improve his speed a lot.. The Heat made him look like he was some over-hyped little kid, and honestly a lot of his shots look so slow-motion that I think he is. He either needs to step it up or he'll get stomped again by any team that takes him seriously.. he honestly got 'crushed'. Stolen from him practically every time he got the ball, cuz he dribbles like slow ass fool.
2012? Hes improved a lot.
He seems like a good guy, so I hope he does well next year, but it's gonna be rough in Houston
Yikes

Every star has to go through it.

The game vs the miami heat was highlighted to bash on JLin. They forgot it was not only JLin that the Miami Heat stopped... they practically shut down NY's offense period. So why hate on Lin when everyone even Melo had a hard time scoring.

I swear Jeremy Lin is overrated he only got two good weeks that it he get so many opportunities to be the main pg and look what he a decent back up pg nothing more
See this is the thing that I don't get. People use this one game to say he's not good, but in the big picture, 25 games, he's a solid player. Do some math before hating. 1
Now here is a band you havent heard in a while... Landry Fields lol
And this what happens when you actually have a good point guard guarding Lin he turns the ball over too much and it was Harden that carried the Rockets to the playoffs and help them stay alive against OKC with the help off Parsons and their shooters Lin didn't do nothing against Westbrook
Heat is just built different
Jermey Lin is just very young for a basketball player
It can because a lot of Asian people do buy jerseys. I mean the All star votes which are higher for Rocket players can be explained by the fact that their games are broadcasted in Taiwan. Not possible without Lin.
