- Stop one on my 5 month Australia adventure was the iconic Sydney, New South Wales. This was my second time here, so I spent most of the week exploring the surrounding nature around the city itself with a day at the famous Luna Park and a sunset over the stunning Syndey Harbor 😍

Those plovers are called masked lapwings now. They re-classified them because they aren't actually part of the plover family. They lay their eggs on open ground in fields in small clutches of 2 or 3 eggs. So during the mating season they dive at anything that gets in the vicinity of their eggs. Goannas eat birds eggs all the time so plovers eggs on the ground would be very tempting.

All your selfie shots are reversed. I thought that you had turned the wrong way when you came out of Milson’s Point Station heading to Luna Park. This reversal of selfies can be changed in the iPhone Settings (if you are using an iPhone). Go to Settings, Camera, Mirror Front Camera. You’re welcome.
