#1- plan your trip by yourself
Hire a VA on Fiverr or Upwork to research places to do and things to see. It takes A LOT of the pressure off because there’s a ton of things to do. To save $ you can also use a travel guide
#2- wear flip flops
Especially in the big cities. I made this mistake and the first thing I did was get closed toes shoes because of all the dirty puddles 🤢
#3- bring a US charger
Unless you’re staying in an Airbnb that specifically says the gave universal outlets, buy a universal adaptor for your phone
#4- Apply for a visa in person
We had to leave 2 weeks earlier than planned and spent 25 hours one week at a government office applying for an extension. Do yourself a favor and do it online ahead of time!
