- The ABBA favorite, here with a "classical" twist -- want to hear my cathedral organ? Played live by David and his Open Art Orchestra. No MIDI file, no backup tracks. CDs of these CZcams songs are available at www.DunlapAndPennington.com
- Hudba
I think “Lay all your love on me” is one of Abba’s best song
it is hella underrated
The music was written to sound like a Lutheran Hymn by Ulvaeus/Andersson hence why it sounds perfect on an organ.
The chorus is actually based on a variation someone wrote on a Tchaikovsky theme, although it's not exactly the same
this videos nearly a decade old but its so good.. this is genuinely the best cover of lay all your love on me that ive found so far, absolutely brilliant playing bro ill never stop listening to this!
I love it! Cathedral organ and a rock rhythm! What a fantastic arrangement, performance and post-production video work. And all free! I'm playing it again!
At least I truly now know, what to play at my Wedding! What a beauty!
THIS IS SO FREAKING EPIC!!! I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS!
finnaly a cover version with the solo at the end!
Eine hervorragende Kombination aus Lithurgie und Pop.
Genuinely amazing. It fits the instrument so well, and the execution is impeccable.
Some fancy footwork going on there!
Absolutely incredible. I'll come back and watch at least once a week.
I do believe I was dreaming when I first heard this!! The opening with full Organ Sound was beautiful!!! Then moving into the contemporary sound was flawless. This is without a doubt the way that I want to hear This song from now on!
My 10 year old daughter also loves it as well!!
A pleasure to listen to AND to watch. Great footwork as well. Thanks.
magical music tour love all you have done David THANKS
So beautiful playing for a such beautiful song. It is really amazing. The orgue is wonderful. The sounds are great. Played with excellent agility in your hands. I enjoy so much listening to it especially the last 2 minutes while you play with the song. Amazing and excellent.
Parabéns David Dunlap, pelo seu talento que Deus continue te dando mais e mais, esse dom maravilhoso, que é a musica.
Absolutely fab!
Very entertaining. Really nice ! Thank you for sharing.
Lay all your love on me la numero 1
Magnificant well done - that's georgous !!!
Truly a master of this craft, bravo
Love all your playing and arrangements .
BEAUTIFUL, man i wish there were Choral singers for this (the kind you hear in the credits song "Navras" for the film "The Matrix Revolutions"), that would make it BEYOND epic, cheers for the upload :D
Wow, wow, wow! Cool footwork, awesome arrangement.
Great sounds and playing. The cathedral sounds at the beginning certainly work well with this up tempo tune. (I've been saying for a long time that it's time the church cheered up a bit and got with it. Ha Ha)
I love organ music and abba. Never heard it together before. I like this. I like this a lot! :)
It's fantastic!!!
Gebou deur meesters vir die speel van meesterlike musiek! BRAVO !

Perfect!!!!!
Supersound!!!!!
Super Playing!!!!!!

I love it. Realy good played... greetings from emden, germany.
Absolutely fantastic! Sounds huge!!! Love the choice of your sounds and the fact that you included all those details. It perfectly captures the sound and feel of the original (love the sounds for the first two verses, which faintly sound like a Hammond Jimmy Smith style jazz/percussion solo registration but more complex and voice-like in timbre - and it all is very, very tasteful. Nothing sounds cheap. The big "all stops out" pipe organ at the beginning is a brilliant idea!
Excellent performance, excellent instrument!! Wish I had a Wersi......
WOW! I enjoyed that!
Just Excellent!
just lovin' it ! :-D
The cathedral organ sound at the beginning is really heavy and amazing. Excellent overall performance. Keep your good work up!
Thumb up from me.
Really great!
This song needs to be on a organ! It sounds like final boss music!
Great rendition! I'm not a abba fan but this song is an exception it's so different to there normal style.
Amazing! Great job!
STAY AWESOME! :)
Made me Smile!!!!!

@dunlapds2
C'est tout simplement génial comme chaque morceau interprété avec une maitrise parfaite de cet instrument fabuleux.
powerful!
Brilliant as allways!!!
a clever mix with the organ; it should be noted that from 4.09 he is the rare to play all the rear chords. Very nice
@patsaxon
Go for it, Pat! They're great instruments!

'The Thoughts of Music'
I guess this answers my question about what this piece would sound like on the theatre organ in Indianapolis that's a hybrid of a Whirlitzer and a classical organ.
💖💖💖
@countryguy
Pedaling is easy for me, thanks to hours and months and years of Virgil Fox pedal scales. Just takes practice! I use the foot switches for whatever I need for a particular song; but always the left expr. switch is set to "Preset UP"
WOW
I note that many of Davids presentations here are more than 6 years ago. Does anyone know what he is doing now? Always love listening to his organ playing but wondering why now 2018 stuff?
Hallo du machst du gute Musik das ist super.
ich bin der Michael prall
wow
cool
thx :)
nice footwork, keeps you fit this (in chape :p )
;)
Asombroso
@Bobby1961D
So glad you liked it, BobbyD!
Hi David, love your song, can you tell me how you got 2 camera views at the same time, im using a 2 year old camcorder so looking for an update. Thanks. Mark
this song is made for the organ
I'm 100% sure Brian David Gilbert has seen this video
Could you do the same thing but without drum beat?
on Wersi skala
@voiceedit
"And all free!" hahaha Thanks for the nice words!
@mikefox1974
You like? I am so happy! This was a fun song!!
Well done. I love watching your footwork but for the life of me I don't know yourself and others can play pedals with both feet. I have difficult just using my left foot. I noticed that you used one of the pistons for the fill in. What do you use the other 4 pistons for as well as the 2 foot switches on the volume pedal?
I can picture the orchestra pit during a performance of Mamma mia and this song as Sophie and Sky meet on the beach.
Made in Germany.
Name: Wersi
Model: Scala GS700
whats name this organ?
this song is literally perfect for church organs
Wirklich sehr sehr gut. Hier kann Franz was lernen.
Sounds like the orchestra pit during a performance of Mamma mia and Sophie and Sky singing this song.
The Majority are not real ABBA fans.
cool
