These kids have responsibilty of restoring glory of carnatic music.. I am 50 years. we spoiled it.
Kopalakrishana Barathi's composition in the beautiful Tamil Language is rendered by these children fantastically. Indian Ragga group is doing a wonderful service to grow the Carnatic Music world wide. In a similar vain, Google itself has done a great great service to grow Tamil Language and Carnatic music by providing a marvelous platform that we can use and enjoy. Listening to this Keerthanai from San Jose group brings out one great regret in me that I never had this opportunity at similar age to practice this such a wonderful art form. My shortfall has been somewhat being rectified by these children. May lord Siva bless you all.

We tamilans last our identity..this marvelous music system sprouts in our land, but we fail to promote it...not only this ,we are loosing all traditional identities of us...The only reason behind this calamity is ,political parties like dravidar kashagam, dravidar munetra kazhagam., and so many sub parties which support these kazhagam...these people identify music with religion..and they appose all arts form....தமிழ் தமிழ் என்று சொல்லி தமிழனை படு முட்டால் ஆக்கிய பெருமை இவர்களையே சாரும்...திராவிடன் திராவிடன் என்று சொல்லி நம் நாகரீக பண்பாட்டை அழித்த பெருமை இவர்களையே சாரும்....உங்களுடைய குள்ள நரிதனதை இளைய சமூகம் அடையாளம் கண்டு கொண்டுவிட்டது....இது மருமலர்சியின் காலம்

These American citizens( by birth, I think)but still Indians have not forgotten our traditions and carnatic music. These kids and their parents who encouraged them are to be appreciated. In India, 10% people know and sing carnatic music.

Veena is deviating into hamir kalyani.
RAM Krishnan, it is hard to differentiate the subtle differences between Behag and Hamir Kalyani. The ending part of thanam may sound a bit like Hamir Kalyani. But I have heard many legends also use those phrases in Behag.
I appreciate this kids in foreign soil sing a tamil song without any pronounciation mistake with proper sruti and flavour of the raagam. But in the vamp like Kompally Sriranjini is the other way. What a shame.
