    Hello , I would like to know about the possibility of rollback if there is an issue after upgrading the IOS, could you tell me if it is possible to rollback after the commit? and also, what are the commands to operate the rollback. Thank you in advance

  • @vamseekrishnakapuluru9453

    Commands are not clear to see. It would have been good if you have maximised the font or CLI to see which commands you are using. Other than that, it is a useful info...

    Do you need the boot flash (or bootflash) packages.conf to be entered first ?

  • @johangonzalezcisneros4657

    What if I have physical maintenance scheduled, and I just want to reboot the switch one time (when we are)? If I said NO on the, do you want to reboot the switch now? How may the switch perform the upgrade after a physical reboot, sort of speak

    What can one expect upgrading to version 16/17 from version say 03.06.04.E or similar? What is the difference and can it even be done

    Hi,
    Thank you for the video,
    ok, I'm looking at adding a new switch to several stacks.
    The older switches were on version 16. are in install mode, the new switches are on version 17.x.
    We are not ready to commit to the newer IOS yet, so I need to add these switches but keep the existing IOS running, how do I add these new switches effectively downgrading the new ones?
    Cheers Martin

    Thanks for this video. I need to add a 3rd 3850 to a stack of two which are running a deprecated IOS version. They are running "install mode". Is there a way to copy the IOS package to tftp and then install it on the 3rd switch?

    so, how about the bundle mode ?!

    • @razredge68
      @razredge68 Před 2 lety +1

      If you want the switch to boot into bundle mode just copy the .bin file to every switch in the stack, then just update the bootvar with the new image name.
      Example:
      config t
      no boot system
      boot system switch all flash:My.New.IOS.Here.bin
      end
      wr
      Then perform the reload during your next maintenance window. Please make sure the verify the image prior to updating the bootvar.

      Did you manage to get something that you can have 0 downtime?

    • @NetworksDev
      @NetworksDev Před rokem

      @@marcelsmal713 Nope not possible you have to reboot the switch or stack to complete the upgrade process.
