When you have fought your way out of serious addiction to morph into a literal musical genius, a good father, a person you can look at and be ok with in the mirror (speaking from very personal experience) who gives a F… what anyone else thinks! When you have traveled this journey you know who you are, and you understand what it is you stand for!
And if someone didn't already mention it, he was supposed to have written this song in solitary confinement looking at himself in the mirror. This might change the meaning of the words yet again.
He does the same thing with "I'm not a vampire" and "I'm not a vampire, revamped".
Also, in this, Ronnie said that the piano solo was the exact same chords as the guitar solo from the first one, just done on piano.

The funny part is. He wrote this song to himself and his drug addiction. He was the drug inside himself. The ending shows just that, screaming at himself saying can't you see you are destroying your own life. Wonderful reactions and you always say the right things. I see the first song as kind of laughing about, and brushing off his issues like it's no big deal, but in this one he's actually facing his issues head on and letting it all out. He said that he put out both remakes for the fans that have been there since the beginning. He wrote the entire debut album while he was in prison. Raised by Wolves is the first song on that album is a banger, and one of the only songs I like from that album. The video is basically a life performance and some behind the scenes clips, but it's not really live. It's a total diss track at his first band, Escape the Fate, which kicked him out when he went to prison. ETF is opening for FIR on their current tour. Who's laughing now?
