Riding the World's First Solar Powered Train - Byron Bay Australia

The Byron World First Solar train, the train operates purely on energy from the sun, energy generated from solar panels feeding the onboard batteries powers the train also fitted with regenerative braking, which uses braking energy to also recharge the batteries as the train slows down. This is a restored 1949 era two carriage heritage train. All thanks to a 4.6 billion year old power source (the Sun).
