He gets shit on by everybody because he's technically having a bad year. He's been a consistently good starting player his whole career and he had a good Spring Training this year. It's a combo of the inconsistent play he gets, and his age while being an inconsistent player that has him dragging. Btw, he knew coming in he was going to spend most of his time on the bench and inserted into the game as needed, but he said he was more interested being with a championship team after his long career.

If it wasn’t for his last game or two, he could’ve made it. As someone who gave him a hard time last year, he for sure has been great this season (knock on wood). I wish he would’ve been an all star.

I am a 65 year old man. I used to walk to Connie Mack stadium. Way way back in the 60s with my dad and brothers. I love the Phillies one of those crazy Phillies fans. But I watch every game I can. And I think as I am watching the game. If everyone of these great hitters got hot at the same time. Oh man they would be scoring so many runs that the other teams wouldn't want to play the Phillies at all. But I think that it's only going to be a dream. Damn it would be something to see.

The fact that some people think shohei ohtani is already a Hall of Famer is crazy to me. Dude hasn't even accomplished half of what trout has. Dude pitched two Good Seasons and we're acting like he's Cy Young, and has had a few top 10 hitting seasons and we're acting like he's Barry Bonds
Another great win but this one seemed a lot closer than I thought and the bullpen kinda worried me a bit but we still hung on and man the dodgers had so many opportunities to score runs but just couldn’t deliver. Sanchez was ok today but man if we can just trade for good pitching in the deadline I would be happy because our offense is legit just need better pitching. Go Phillies.
This is baseball, the players at this level will compete in some very close games. Not gonna be blowing every team out of the water every game and series
