With base price of $45K in U.S. for XLE, and $50K for Limited with a few options, what is the advantage over a Lexus RX 350h? A sun roof that doesn't open! Ground clearance the same as a Camry sedan! Side windows too short to see out of! The Toyota dealership experience! I don't get it.

Lexus NX350h with premium package has OTD price just a hair over 65k CAD, RX350h base is about 74k.
Crown sedan limited has OTD price below 65k CAD.
It makes more sense to me if Crown Signia XLE trim comes around 60k & limited around 67k.
So Signia price is 1-2k more than the sedan, lower trim goes below NX and higher trim goes between NX and RX.

Pretty cheap for what it is honestly, if you compare it to other EV's. Especially at the millage that Toyota is giving us, think at the long term, not the short term. Think how much gas costs and how much you can save. If you're getting 40ish mpg like in their new EV's then your filling up your car a lot less than you would a current gas only powered car, which is probably around 40k anyways. If you want something cheaper keep watching and looking out until the end of this year, you might find a EV with high mileage and in your price range. I am not wanting to argue, this is meant to be informative.

There is no doubt that this vehicle is going to be out of price range of the average buyer. I suspect that it will not be available on dealers lots for sometime to come. The odd preferred dealership will get a few in I’m sure, but I imagine that not many will be seen on the road in the very near future. Toyota needs to get back to basics and start offering affordable vehicles to the average motoring public. They took a step in the wrong direction, in my opinion, when they eliminated the Toyota Yaris in the Canadian market back in 2019/2020.

@adamrodriguez7441 that is OK. I will keep buying ICE until I can't, and I will keep repairing them till I can't. I vote with my wallet. Eventually, automakers will decide to listen to the market.
The biggest problem they will have with hybrids is they support 2 different technologies, which increases their repair costs and decreases their reliability.
The used market will destroy this utopia the government has concocted. I refuse to adopt this BS, not because I am against technology, but because the tech is not long-term affordable. Maybe a new car with an extended warranty, but not a used car on the secondary market!
Vote with your wallets. I might be wrong, but when the government gets involved to force something to be viable, I doubt it will be. The Government is filled with bureaucrats who do not know the difference between a monkey wrench and monkey business.

Entitled to your opinion of course. A hybrid is also an ICE vehicle. I bought my first Toyota Camry hybrid in 2012, great car, we drove it for 280,000 km when it was the victim of a car crash. Never had a problem which required repair, changed front brakes and spark plugs at 200,000 km . No government forced or encouraged me to buy this car, just loved the gas mileage, 4.5- 5.2 litres/ 100 km. (45 to 52 mpg)
      Cheers
