Today I am going to show you how to make a working creeper farm in Minecraft Bedrock. This is the most insane, best, most efficient and easiest creeper gunpowder farm in minecraft bedrock 1.21. It works on MCPE, PC, PS4, XBOX, Mobile and Nintendo switch.

After I was done with finishing I realized I left just one stair which wasn't water loved so I borrowed water from other stairs made an infite water supply to fill it and the stairs I borrowed water from but I forgot to fill the water in stairs I just took water out from 💀
Randomly halfway through my trigger sensitive controller placed water down when I was picking up a fresh bucket, and half the thing became source blocks. I had to sponge and restart one side 😭

Works great in Bedrock Realms! Just spent some time building it in survival. The only thing I'd recommend is sitting at the killing platform. Don't make the AFK spot mentioned in the video, as it will despawn the creepers before they make it to the killing chamber.

Same here, when I was at the AFK spot, after 15 minutes only 2 pcs of Gunpowder was collected. Now I am standing above the lever, collected almost 2 stacks of gunpowder in less than 10 minutes, and getting the XP too

I recommend opening the trapdoors so creepers can walk freely but u have to place them all in the same direction or spiders will spawn. this helped my rates alot
Also works with campfires :) I made 4 floors with campfires and 15 Min about 2 stack. This is really good thx

@@tribowo2276 yeah you’re forfeiting the XP and the fortune 3 boost but it’s worth it if you want to simplify this design and just start getting powder early game.
You can rebuild the chamber for tridents later.

The old version still works just fine for anyone who is wondering. The only new part about this design is the kill chamber, which provides better rates than the old farm if you hold a looting three sword.
Do you know how to stop spider spawns? I'm getting like nothing from mine cause of the spiders
@kclafonte3527 unfortunately no, however the rates on the farm are slightly lower because of spiders. But you do get free string.
All you have to do is replace the trap doors on the ceiling with buttons and replace the buttons on the ground with trap doors basically just swap the locations

This took me atleast 2 - 3 days to finish since I was playing in survival but I gotta say this is a great farm

You can use slabs for the roof instead. Saves resources and mobs cannot spawn on slabs so no need for torches
No because slabs still let light through even though in doesn’t look like it they have to be a full block

I only play bedrock because I prefer it so please continue. The iron farm was great for other farms. I love the raid farm because now I get totems early game, and now a creeper farm for TNT and rockets. Keep up the good work oink oink

If you can't find a trident, you can use camp fires for the automatic killing chamber ( use soul camp fires for more damage )

It works pretty well although it spawns not only creepers but also skeletons and zombies so I’m debating on replacing the buttons with trapdoors other then that great farm

n Minecraft Bedrock Edition, when you set your render distance to 4 chunks, the simulation distance controls mob spawning and despawning. Here’s how it works:
Spawning Range: Mobs spawn within a quasi-spherical shell around the player. For a simulation distance of 4 chunks:
Minimum spawning distance: 24 blocks (Euclidean distance) from the player.
Maximum spawning distance: 44 blocks from the player.
Despawning Range:
Random despawn range: 34-44 blocks from the player.
Instant despawn range: >44 blocks from the nearest player. remember this while choosing your spawn platform choose your afk platform just a bit above the killing chamber will give you a better rate
update- if you stand just 5 blocks above the platform you made for killing chamber you can get rates upto 12 stacks an hour with 6 layers and looting 3

Could you theoretically make another one 23 blocks in the opposite direction for more rates or does this farm cap the spawns?
You could probably but the second one might have less rates due to the first on e being so close but in multi-player you could build multiple far away yes
Does the ceiling make the creepers consider it a cave?

what do i send my simulation distance to? the killing chamber isn’t killing the mods
what’s the best render distance for afking at the platform? I have it at default 36 chunks and they creepers spawn and drop down but despawn before getting killed by the trident killer
Hey quick question, in the step where u said find the middle platform and make a bridge for the afk place what if the amount of platforms is even and there is no middle platform?

I did everything exactly the same as the tutorial, am in 1.21, and not a single thing is spawning. Does being in realms make the farm not work? do i have to stand a certain distance away?
Maybe realms do affect but i really do not know as all of the farms i built alone and without realms was perfectly fine and also try to set your difficulty to hard

yeah it increases drops and gives you more when you kill something
The trident is still tethered to you in a way so the trident is effected by whatever effects you as well. The player gains an increased drop chance from slaying mobs with looting, not the weapon itself. The weapon is merely the connector between the buff (looting) and the recipient (you) therefore, the trident essentially picks up your looting buff

Made a creeper farm based off your video in 1.20 i need help troubleshooting. Nothing is spawning.
1. The floors were buttons and the roofs were trapdoors, in this video it’s flipped. Could this be an issue?
2. I wanted to hide the farm within a build and never put the top super wide platform. What is it’s function and is it’s absence a reason why nothing is spawning?
3. The farm still works sometimes but it’s random and the rate sucks. Could it be a chunk issue?

Built the old design a while ago and got amazing rates. Recently replaced the buttons with trapdoors on the floor (which is this design). However, rates have significantly decreased. I’ve been getting maybe 2 stacks an hour. Any ideas on why?

@@tribowo2276 you have to because in the recent update buttons no longer prevent spiders from spawning. If you keep buttons your farm fills up with spiders and no creepers spawn

maybe this no helping because if the farm is limit you have to remove that farm and build lower

you can variate the amount of levels your building. but underground would nnot be working very good, simply because you are knowingly or not surrounded by not lighhted up caves in which mobs will spwan, reducing the spwan rate in your farm.
Cant we use other mechanism for killing mobs rather than a trident killer.
Can i use Bornfire or magma blocks
yeah but you cant use looting on it so trident killers are better

Hey I had this problem too and I was stressed but I figured out that if you make it over a river not an ocean it won’t spawn because mobs can’t spawn in river biome hope this helps

If you do this with only 3 layers will it still work if it’s in normal or hard mode

U can use anything u want like magma blocks or campfires but u won't get exp from them cuz ur not the one killing them (the trident gives xp cuz u throw it and it's the one killing them so it gives xp) or just kill them by ur self without any auto source

@@KAR4N.. hey if ur planning to make this I’d suggest making 3 layers and above the ocean and once ur done put buttons on the roof too (it’s not in the tutorial but trust me it gives u more gun powder) for example I afked for 30 mins and I got 6-7 stacks

For some reason my 20x20 makes it to where I have a 2 block gap. But when I made a 19x19 I made it with a 2 block gap
How is it different from the previous one??? Creeper farm I followed the previous video 1.20 which is new.
Spawn mechanics changed in 1.21, now a lot of spiders spawn in the previous version.

Because if your farm is fir below 1.20.80 not any mob will SPAWN
And now the newer 1.20 farm SPAWN a lot more spider than creeper

nope I made this in my world and it works just about fine (I would suggest adding buttons for the spawning layers on the roof)

You can manually kill them the killer is just if you want a fully afk farm
U can kill them manually for xp or if u don't need the xp place campfires or magma blocks
