Who hasn’t waited in line at the airport and thought, “MAN! This is taking forever. What is going on up there? Why do people keep getting asked to step out of line to be searched?” It’s a pain, and no body likes it, but it’s a truth of life. The TSA is something all us travelers have to deal with, and truth be told, most of the time there is nothing at all wrong, and they don’t find anything threatening on the people they search. However, when they do find something, a lot of innocent lives are saved. And traveling is safer for all of us. So while it may be annoying to wait so long in line, and to even be stopped now and again, it is an important process in keeping our world’s travelers safe. But what is going on in these screening processes? What are the TSA agents looking for? What causes someone to be flagged? Is there anything that you can do to make sure you have the smoothest screening process possible, and make it through without any problems? Brainiacs we are talking about everything there is to know about the TSA, what they see when you are scanned, and how you can best get through this boring and tedious area of the airport. I remember catching a flight from Washington Dulles back in 2015 and when my baggage was checked, an empty antiperspirant can I'd accidentally left was found, was told it was a banned item, seconds later I was told I can take it through. 😂

When I flew for the 1st time, I just stood there and put my arms out to the side after leaving the metal detector since a TSA officer was standing there with a metal scanner. I thought she was going to do the random check on me. She told me that I was good and they did a random search on a person behind me.

When I was 11, I was at one of those searches, I was fine, but my bag was not, turns out, I left my Amazon Fire in my bag with out putting on that box
Also less likely to get an extra patdown or what if you're younger cause then u don't know as much as older (around 15+) people.
I’ve always wondered exactly how far in the hand goes in a cavity search, is it just a finger or all the way to the elbow? Can someone tell me. I’m not joking I really want to know how invasive these searches are.

I have a USA shirt and every time I go though the body scanner it reacts to my shirt thinking somethings in it so i get a pat down which a really like

I can’t walk through those scanners because I wear hearing aids and hearing aids and the scanners use the exact same frequency as the hearing aids so I have to get a pat down
I love getting cavity searched though.
Also having something suspicious in your bag can get your bag checked, it happened the day after my 16th birthday cuz I had a change wallet with a lot of change, idk how it looked suspicious but ok

Not by TSA, but my father got stopped because they were looking for someone with the same name. Turned out he was a different race, so that settled that pretty quick.

Planes are boring cruise ships are fun because you can walk around one time i had school trip at airport guy talked to me he said do you have any metal devices so i pulled out phone he said friendly i was too shy to walk scanner thats why i won't go to airport again i want try cruise school trip
I don't see the point of a cruise. Id rather sit in the airplane for a few hours, get there and enjoy the place for a week. But thats just me.

What things are allowed to be taken through a scanner? Can you still take it with you? And what about having electronics such as laptops or tablets in your carry bag(s)?
For electronics you put it in some tray or something and I think you do it with anything medal, and things like toothpaste and other items which you throw away

Get violated before and after your holiday. It's way more relaxing to stay in my own country and not have a mega dose of traumatic injury to manage from flying.

I don't like airports for this reason. Most of the time those scanners go off, it's a false alarm and if a person doesn't seem suspicious, I'd say a complete pat down is too much. I don't just want to be touched by people. I feel like they treat everyone as if they're criminals, just to filter out that 0.1% that might actually be a danger.
Whats funny is, people generally have that thought until something gets through. And then everyone starts screaming why didn't they check this or that. Its pretty funny to listen to.
I got flagged on my way back from Florida because I wore a special underwear to prevent accidents (due to no longe having a colon).
I had to get taken aside and thoroughly patted down but I handled it well (I lost my sense of modesty and dignity long ago when I got Ulcerative Colitis 6 years ago but I’m fine now)
