The Street Fighter is a simple game. Two men are trying to defeat each other and at the end, Daigo always wins.
daigo e ryu is much better than at evo. You can see how consistent he is with combos combined with the damage he gets now. Its easy to see why he went from ryu to e ryu and his improvement is very noticeable.

I like Xian 'cause he uses Gen which is a complete different character and that makes it funny. Most of the USF IV players are always playing with Evil Ryu, Ryu, Ken, top tiers and that's so boring to see.

People have been saying this too often. He wasn't reborn because he was always a beast, people need to stop thinking Daigo is washed up when he isn't.
***** To clarify, I never said he was washed up. I was just implying how he has not had as much success in tournaments in recent years. Probably because of all the new emerging talent. Winning a major like this is good evidence that he has adapted and become a better player.
Chris Luciantonio Point is people have been saying that in 2012, 2013, and now 2014. Sure he isn't winning as much, but he is always doing damage at tournaments, and is always in conversations of who is the best in the world.
***** I think it is because how much is reputation has been built up over the years that people overlook just how solid of a player he is and say he "sucks now." People were actually shocked he didn't make top 8 this year at evo. When your a "Street Fighter God" everyone just expects perfection all the time, no matter how unreasonable that is. I'm just glad he is winning tournaments again because nothing is better than Daigo beasting.
You can see how much better daigo has gotten with e ryu than when he played at evo. He has quietly been winning a lot of asian tournaments lately

I don't play Gen but I have to say that his Hundred Hands should be buffed, they push back way too much and the damage from it is pathetic. Maybe reduce the pushback?
Lpedraja2002 not every move is around for damage, it has other purposes, like push your opponent to corner and force him to go footsies

I could be wrong but pool play everyone plays everyone. Player with most wins guaranteed finals in winners pool. Losers pool everyone dukes out to advance to finals.
