    Great tutorial. I have been changing the brake pads on my CBR for years, saving a lot of money. You also clearly showed how the pads should actually sit on the calber! Happy you didn't edit out your son. Treasure his moments. 😎

    Great video man. Do I need to grease the back of the pads on instal?

    • @vetmech4554
      @vetmech4554  Před rokem

      It’s not necessary unless you’re getting a lot of squeaking noise front your caliper/pad rubbing. I usually keep grease away from motorcycle brakes in general.

    So you’re telling me I didn’t have to re use those stupid metal brackets on the back of the old pads????? I have been trying to fit the far pad with it and I gave up finally just to find your video and see you didn’t use it

    • @vetmech4554
      @vetmech4554  Před 3 lety +2

      No sir. No need to use the old back plate on the new pads. That is a factor piece only to help keep the pads in going down the assembly line. Thanks for watching!

    What kind of grease do you use?

    • @vetmech4554
      @vetmech4554  Před rokem

      I use when needed Super Lube® Silicone Lubricating Brake Grease.

    Do I re-use metal clips from old pads?

    • @vetmech4554
      @vetmech4554  Před 2 lety

      No. The pads should come with new clips. Sorry for the late response.

      Hi , I've just removed my stock original pads on my cbr1000rr....they had a metal over clip attached to the back of the pad....do I need to re-clip this onto my EBC FA436HH pads before I install them as the EBC pads didn't have this on them...they come without you see 🤔👍🏻
      Can you advise me please 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @tercola8756
      @tercola8756 Před měsícem

      My new pads didn't come with clips so I just reused the old clips.
