Very insightful you can tell Sean has done that 100s of times now
He does make it look easy 👌
Big up the Whitaker 👏🏼. Like the clutch holding tip.
Ginger god 🙌
This is an excellent and informative video you sir are a natural teacher good skills
Sean, one who does the engine, is very good. I will past it on your kind words.
GREAT TUTORIAL!
Thank you mate
that is mega helpful especially as we need to do a full tear down after yesterday's action and crankcase crackage!. Could do with a download of of Sean's brain when its available😆
I sent him your video he has never seen one crack there b4 !
@@Pitbikesonic76yes it is a weird one but we’re learning loads as we fix it. We want to be ready to do the last winter series round at Stretton in 2 weeks so it’s a bit of a rush.
I have a 140 and I rebuilt it put race cam and rings and everything correct I believe and I can't get more than 80 psi compression
Suspension maitenance episode would be also very helpful! Regards!
If I have some problems with suspension, I'll do a video on it. My folks and shock have always been very reliable, so it's something iv never really mucked about with.
@@Pitbikesonic76 some periodic service operations should be done even if everything seems ok e.g. suspension oil wears out, there should be a proper amount of it in forks (mm belowe the top cap) and so on... your mechanic seems to be very competent, I would be pleased to hear his opinions. Greetings from Poland!
This video made me check my tension cap good job I did there's nothing there 😮
Engine only done 1800 miles on my road legal
The rubber ones do wear away quickly!
The stronger ones are the best engine upgrade
Great video as always!
Noticed there’s no oil slinger on the end of the crank on yours, is there any benefit to that?
Its because this engine was a gen4, and they don't have them. And I changed the casing for Gen 3.
I'm getting a modified clutch adjuster bracket made, so I should be going back to Gen 4 soon 😁
@@Pitbikesonic76 aaaahhh makes sense buddy. Cheers for that! 👍👍
Great vid but which stator and flywheel are you using? I’ve tried to fit a lifan 150 system today but can’t get it to fit. Cheers
I use the Lightened one from Parker Racing

What causes forks to shift poorly into third gear and start hacking?
What causes forks to wear out? Why hasn't anyone manufactured ones that last?"
Valve clearance 0.04 - 0.06 ?
Intake 0.10 and exhaust 0.15
Where can I find that metal tipped cam timing plunger thing?

There you go buddy 👍
do you get the whole year out of 1 engine? when i rode 140s was going true an engine every 3 months
It depends bud most time yes I get a whole season out of an engine before it gets taken apart again and checked over.
But yes, I know a lot of people who will go through a few engines a season 🫣
I got 1100ish miles from my 140, head gasket blew, had the wrong valve specs for abit(think they were too tight from stock) just fit a topend. Compression was showing 150ish.
