Villy Chen Noob question but how do I slow the video speed? I watched the Cait part 3 times and then simply gave up .
Well on a computer, the setting is on the bottom right, next to the full screen button. In there select the speed that you want. As for mobile, open up the web version, browser, Safari, Chrome etc, and see if it works there.
Play at speed (2) I laughed so hard xD

love these videos phy, keep it up! for lucian, you can also prep his passive in advance before you actually use the e since the cooldown reduction applies when the passive hits and not when you use the passive. doublelift and xfsn saber both talk about this since it basically gives you two dashes on tap if you pull it off properly. saved my butt countless times in teamfights

One thing I'd like to mention is that casting e on lucian before the "q rotation" gives you 2 extra uses of your passive thanks to your e's cool down refreshing earlier
I recently picked up ADC with Caitlyn and this will really help against assassins with multiple gap closers.
To people who need to get the timing right:
For the AA animation cancelling: Press W once you see your auto attack in the air. (if the enemy is really close, imagine seeing it going through the air).
For E animation cancelling: press W after the net is shot at the moment you start dashing backwards. Earlier it doens't work, later you're out of reach to place the W directly under them. Remember that your traps need time to arm so putting them a bit closer to you is not a bad idea, especially if the champion has multiple gapclosers.
These are both pretty reliable indications.
It was not as hard as you made it seem to figure out. Now I hope to remember this in the heat of the moment.

thx for making this video, I just got into ADC again and mainly Lucian and cait, but couldn't find any proper guides on how to do advanced combos

Phy are you aware of the double dash on Lucian? If you have your passive shot ready (throw w or q out) use your double shot passive then dash immediately. For some reason that first double shot is counted towards your e passive cd reduction so you can w -> passive -> e -> passive -> e

You can actually do the Lucian combo even more cleanly than Phy was doing in this video. With 40% CDR rank 5 E, you should get (ability)>auto>E>auto, and your E should already be off cooldown if you did it right.
If you dashed just a little too slowly, then your E will be on a 2 second cooldown (1 auto already hit before you dashed), or if you really messed up, it'll be 4 seconds (both autos hit before you dashed).

My preferred combo is to W > AA > E > AA > E (assuming you were able to dash while the W proc passive was still in flight) > AA > Q > AA > E > AA.
A good build that I'm able to carry games with on Caitlyn is (in order): runnans, berserkers greaves, infinity edge, rapid fire cannon, essence reaver, sell Dorans and then get a situational item. The 100% crit on a sixth shot or on a trap is so nice. I got rid of 75% of a jhins health with 1 sixth shot mid-late game and you destroy in team fights.
If you e at the same time as you do your Double shot and auto after that you can instantly e again. So for example AA+Q+AA+E+AA+E+AA+W+AA+E+AA

Phy, your E cd is reduced when shots land, so if you cast E whilst your Q/W passive shots are in the air you will get the CD off of that E.
This means you can AA-Q-pAA-E-pAA and your E is off cooldown. This gives you one 1 free E for every single Q or W, allowing all sorts of things, like double dashing to escape, an extra short dash auto reset and passive, and more.
You also haven't gone over the short dash, which is THE most important thing for Lucian DPS at any point in the game.
I assume you know about these things, why would you not cover them here?

do you think that the koreans are better at counter jg/farming when they press the advantage vs. N.A./E.U. players? especially in solo Q in n.a. it seems like people get super focused on chasing kills instead of applying map pressure and using the minion advance . . .
Is it still viable to go with deathfire as a jhin? Or stormraider/warlord is better?

we can cumulate headshot or we have to aa between net and trap? didnt understand well
i am an adc onetrick and use the nettrap fadeaway kill combo like all the time but what u want to do if u feel preatty save after the net movement or if u are in early game like in laneingphase when the q dmg actually matters u'd better use AA-NET-TRAP-AA(NetCrit)-Q-AA(TrapCrit) this will ensure you hitting the q because they are rooted and you dont loose any headshots because they overlap imo its an even better combo
I try the caitlyn Trap after auto and e often but when the opponent moves jsut a little bit the trap will not hit. This mostly happens against divers. Adc i play against dont move to much and it works often against them
sweet. I've been playing Lucian lately. I'm not that good with him and I've always wanted to find out if there are some trucks I can do. this one's really helpful.
just a suggestion, though. maybe next time you can add some slow motion effect on some points to be focused on, especially quick combos that needs to be executed in order.

Hey Phy, I've been having a good series of games in plat 2 but as of recent i have been losing and idk why. I play the same champs, i feel i play the same way and i want to blame my teammates but i know it's something beyond my team. How do i comeback?
Hi so doing this combo even if you do it perfectly where you effectively basic attack 3 times during the duration you only gain 2 stacks of fervor but if you do the combo in steps a bit slower you get 3 stacks instead of 2, is this a bug?
and i mean the cait combo "auto, trap, e, q, auto, auto"

Depends. If it's a champ that is heavy auto attack crit based like Twitch, Ashe, and Jinx, Battle Trance will help extended fights. If it's a poke heavy champ like Cait, Jhin, Varus, and MF, Double Edge Sword would help because you can poke them down. Bounty Hunter I only ever use for people who benefit heavily from it like Vayne and Draven, very rarely though. Just pick whatever you're comfortable with.
-Battle Trance, like IceJJBish said, is for auto attack, crit based champs as it can boost DPS in an extended fight.
-Double-Edge Sword is good for poke champs but really, this one is mostly used by assassins so don't bother much with it, or you can also pick this up with a partner(supps mainly with heals and shields), so they can compensate your squishiness with a shield or heal.
-Bounty Hunter is again, for assassins too but mostly you get this one if you are really,really, really good at your ADC.
All adcs in the current meta should use Battle Trance because most of the bursty stuff adc did got nerfed (like poke varus) and 3 seconds arent much, you wont notice the difference.

Phy, if you dash in the middle of double autos from Q or W, and then double auto again from your dash, you can do a sort of double dash thing because your E will be reset from the two sets of double autos. How viable would Q-start auto-E immediately-auto-E be? I messed around with it, it seems pretty okay for kiting but not for dps. Thoughts?

I did not know where to ask, but I'm having an issue with practice tool damage calculation: First few autos to dummies deal much more damage than expected, like 600 damage were ad is 300, than in a few autos it goes to normal(with builds that have 0 crit chance and without having uses any empowering spell). I'm not talking about dps, but about the red big numbers that come up. Kalista's "E" does not deal the damage it's supposed to deal instead! With 10 stacks and 200 damage per stacks it deals only 713 damage to the dummies, while it should deal 1000 considering the damage reduction from armor. Is there any other factor I'm not taking into account?
So on Lycian would you build berserker greaves, yomus, black cleaver, BOTRK, bllodthrister and then dominiks or mortal reminder I've been testing this with 10% scaling CDR runes then the rest standard bot lane runes and running fervour as the key stone and he seems to work really well

My favorite combo to do with Lucian is E then Q as soon as the first auto goes off because that second AA will still go through while you are using Q then W then rinse and repeat

nice video! but youre forgetting the biggest key factor to lucian, short dashing, if you did these combos with short dashing late game you can do a full combo in 1.3 seconds :)

if you Q auto attack while e as lucain, as soon as you finish your e auto attack, your e will come back on cool down if you have 40 % cdr
Surprised phy didnt mention the short dash vs long dash in lucian's rotation.
lucian have the q e e combo. when you use your q, use your e as soon as the first aa fire then use your e passive. now 4 have shot 4 aa and your e should be back againe. 2lift explained it in his lucian pocketpick video

Eclypzed Well you can cancel your auto with an E and the CD reduction happens when your AAs hit, not when they're fired.
The best combo is actually W AA E AA Q AA E AA E AA and while it's fucking hard, it takes advantage of the fact your passive only proccing on hit. The reason you W first is probably because the animation sucks the most, whereas you can cancel AA animation with E really smoothly

Guys take this from a lucian main but.... what phy does here on the lucian combos are really clean but do remeber that hes at full build and has the maximum amount of attack speed possible as such it makes the combos look much cleaner so bottom line is dont get discouraged that you cant execute the combos as cleanly as him in a normal game as phy too is as mentioned before a fair lucian main.
I don't get your lucian-trick - could you explain more detailed? Cancelling an AA-Animation with a Q is easy, but how to cancel the castanimation with an AA? Click to move then click to attack?

Early is good but late sucks kinda.
It's better. Just scales slower. Doesn't mean slow though, lucian was always known for having good damage early. Koreans just took it one step further with armor pen builds last season, making his early literally insane.
Just as jhin though, armor pen / lethality build does really amazing dmg early, but falls of a bit, and crit does ok and then scales to insane dmg.
Lucian attack speed and crit build has always been viable. Its just a matter of what champs you face, for example, crit sometimes suck for armor stacking tanks on top of their health items, so you go penetration on those but Cleaver is better and more cost efficient late game for its %armor shred(though i don't know if its still good on him). Penetration build is a good transition from mid to late game for snow-balling while Crit build provides a nice power spike at 2-3 or so items.

Could you do a video on positioning as adc and in maybe in general? I notice I find it hard how to position myself well and this makes it hard for me to utilize my mechanics.
You E first to use your passive to cooldown your E with the passive, Q or W and use passive. E again, and use the last ability that you didnt use Q or W, now use passive into E and use Q if its up.
Hey Phy, I'm a jungler. Problem is I suck on the other roles and can't carry from them when I cant get jg. I wanna pick up mid or top, any tips?
videoguy640 find what Class of champs u mainly play in the jungle. What r thier key roles (E. G) if u play Zac, sej. This champs r front liners who start engages and peels his midlaners and or adc with cc and tankyness. Or I'll use my self as example I main adc top my champ pool r hyper carrys/ push comps. I play vayne Jinx and cait. I can play all adc but these 3 r the core 3 I stick to and have them ranked at mechanic skilled at. For top I have tryndmire, darius and I'm adding on more but haven't found one good enough for ranking with. GL reading XD
In other words get 3 champs for each role WAIT all 5 but make 2! lanes rank WORTHLY so u understand the whole game and therefore reacted correctly. CHILLBRO it's gonna take time just enjoy the journey. Don't have time??! One trick a champ that's been useful in most metas MASTER it learn map awareness, muteall, put good music on, have no IRL stresses. Work for it. Even faster? Find a duo partner that is as good as u for each elo drop him at each new rank and find a better one. Ur not getting boosted ur 2 minds make u one league higher/rank joined as one. But u need to then get into a mind of a better player to see more each rank. Note I was high when writing this hehe xD
Play non-mecanically intensive champions until you get the hand of it. Learn the ins and out of laning, then the ins and out of your champion, then of the specific matchup you're into. I main jg and top too, and honestly the big difference is that you must manage the lane a lot more than a jungle clear, xp and gold wise

Wondering does the e+w combo on cait work consistent? even if the enemy are walking away?
Well the e slows them making it easier to land the w, but it's not guaranteed to snare them every time.

Lets say you are riven main and u decide to check out some other combo champions u go to renekton u play 5 games u master all cancels u go to lucian u do 5 games u master his combos u then go to graves u play 5 games u get decent at his combos and cancels then u wonder is it worth it mastering any of these champion's combos if i can play riven :DThen a lucian renekton and graves players decide to try out riven they play 20 games holy shitt this champion is so fun!But i am nowhere near mastering it :D

Have you tried 85 lethality cait? try it on snadbox, really huge dmg!
What Phy fails to mentionwith lucian is that you can cheat off half of E's cooldown by dashing right after getting the 1st shot off the passive. This resets e's cooldown with just a spell and the dash itself at max cdr.

Well on cait, u should trap , q and then press again on the trap because it deals extra damage so... w, q,headshot of w, e, headshot of e. Thats a oneshot and advanced combo
Really nice video. You should use visual helpers, though. When you go tell the combos, it gets confusing because I just hear lots of Es, Qs and Ws. If you were to show the order of the key presses on screen it would be so much easier to follow what you are saying.
That feeling, when you're cait, you land a perfect e w aa aa q into an assassin that's diving you under tower, you get him from 100 to 0 and you're behind. It feels sooo good, hahahaha

Btw Cait is able to cast W AND Q while E is in animation. That's the max damage output and can be absolutely disgusting early game! Do try it guys
Phy, I have a question, I use my attack move on my left click because i find it easier, but some times i cancel my auto. What do u think the most optimal button to use attack move, I tried A or S but didn't like them too much.
Any advice from anyone would be appreciated I'm silver 1 btw.,
There's not really an "optimal" way to attack move. It just comes down to what you prefer. If you find you're cancelling your auto attacks, then that's just something you have to work on to reduce. Bear in mind, that even I find myself doing that on occasion, and I use the A + Right Click to attack move.
