With Dawn's affair with Phil out in the open, Garry decides to leave Walford without her and Summer. However, Dawn realises Garry's the one for her and sets off to stop him before it's too late.
The end credits comprise of 'Julia's Theme', named after one of Eastenders' creators Julia Smith. The tune is usually used in place of the traditional 'drums' to note the departure of a character or an emotional event.

A good comeback for Dawn would be if she came back with Phil’s illegitimate child and Phil got Dawn pregnant during their affair in 2009.

It was not long after this episode I stopped watching this show which was heading downhill fast.

Lol. I thought it was a terrible ending for them! Even the actors thought so. I remember Kara Tointon (Dawn) ridiculing it in an interview. I like that they had a Julia's Theme ending as well, given Garry had been in EE for about 10 years.

Kara Tointon will be returning to eastenders around 1st of Feb 2017 to see Phil and she will be bringing Summer with her it also has been mentioned in interviews and soap awards so brace yourselves because ive heard its going to be really good return for a really good reason who knows maybe shes coming back with a massive secret

Julia’s theme isn’t always used for sad scenes. In fact in the 80s they would use it in a lot of happy scenes!
