30 years listening to Jane's Addiction, I'm proud to be a fan. I remember buying this album (CD) when it came out, and I fell in love all over again. And yes, this extended version is epic. It has that pure and brilliant Jane's vibe all over it. This is the music I want to carry me into the afterlife.
Original recorded version. Before the chop. Outro to the song is gorgeous. They cut the outro for the final mix of “Strays”. This version was part of a leak of a few Strays tracks before the record was out. I got those tracks. This was my favourite because of the gorgeous and unexpected outro. Was heartbroken when I bought the final version and it was gone. Thank sweet jeebus to whoever put this here. Huge Jane’s fan and this is oddly one of my fave things they did.
I heard this version when some songs from Strays were leaked online before it debuted....I was disappointed this wasn't the final cut that made the album.
My school band teacher got this song and our band did a decent job of playing this at the football games. The team wounded up winning whenever we played the song xD

Yes. I think this one is from "Hypersonic" (or Hyperleaked) which was one of the 3 versions of the Strays CD. There was another one... you could find it many years ago on Emule, Kazaa, etc.

There was a single disk then a 2 cd (album and dvd with studio shots , videos and interviews, that I definitely bought..I wish this version was on the dual disk cd/dvd, but wasn’t. I found this extended version here on CZcams and love the mellow breakdown…..god 2003 was 20 years ago, damn😢

I believe this extended version *might* be from the DVD-A type. Strays album had a rare limited dualdisc set.
