Use a pair of socks on the ladder ends, far less likely to mark the walls.
Pro tip there yes. Or a cloth taped on (with g/y tape naturally)
Yup ! I’ve been using white sports socks for years.
Nice tip.
3:00 That's a shocking refurb. Looks twenty years old already.
150£ is cheap. Or well, I don't know what the conversion rate is at the moment but I would probably have charged around 200€
Delroy would be proud of that trunking
😂😂
Nick did you know every time you say " you tubes favorite electrician " an artisan looses his sealant gun 😢 ?
Or does what my colleague did the other day, loses his volt stick under a floor and only realizes after putting the floor and carpet back ;)
You do a good job, especially HOOVERED it afterward! 😀👍👌 I am seeing so many things wrong with their house, including not filling in blanks at fusebox! They have KIDS!? And new plastic pipes / push-fit under floorboard to existing copper pipes that run down the wall to radiator! 😳
Youre good at your job, very handsome and with a kind heart, we appreciate you nick bundy
Beautiful box cutting there! I think I'd have been tempted to extend the ring down and back up - of course the spur is allowed, but I'd have thought there is obviously the potential with it being a PC/desk to have multiple 6-way adaptors coming out of that socket and could hit the maximum possible draw of 26amps. I guess it's all quite subjective though on the reference methods but it is really right on the limit of the 2.5mm cable. Of course only a personal preference and not regs at all! Previous installation looks like it's been done as the cheapest possible job though ever though!
Pleasseee turn your ring notifications off , my dogs go crazy when they hear it , especially when I’m watching late at night 😂😂😂
I feel ya, can be so frustrating when you have like 3 or 4 toolbags and all the various bits and pieces just to make it all look tidy and make the trunking neat
Very nice socket sink under the desk! Stitch drill and chisel drill?
Same red croppers I use.... and I'd do it exactly the same way. BUT....... if that's a leg of a 32 ring youve stabbed into, you know it don't meet regs. But who wants to find both legs and ring it????? I thought you rodding down to the board??
So glad your still putting out content, Mr Consistency, I don't see anything of Artisan anymore have they thrown in the towel. Well done Nick.
I can't believe it...... he's got the multitool out on the MT2!!!! Plastic pipe cutters for 1 and 2 and stanley tin snips for anything bigger
🙄
Thank you host for sharing your work experience, I hope there will be a translation of traditional Chinese, thank 🙂🙏🙏
When using fire rated clips inside trunking, I thought you had to use masonry screws such as DeWalt Wall-Dogs or similar, that go straight in without a wall plug, as plugs will melt in a fire.
no ate not to my knowledge
overhead yes, but on a wall, it's realistically not gonna collapse anyway. A tip, if you have only normal screws and need a fireproof fixing into solid masonry, a few strands of 2.5 will work as a fireproof plug quite effectively
there are not requirements to use wall dogs or metal wall plugs on all walls or ceilings. the wall dogs or metal wall plugs must be used JUST on escape route
@@serj6891 the escape route clause was removed in amendment 2 i thought, so it's required everywhere now?
I thought the thinking was, if the fire has reached the point of melting the wall plugs within the wall, everyone should already be out of the building, would also not be classed as premature collapse.
Very good,,,,, I've been a self employed electrician (hate the term sparks) for 21 years. Nice to see some new gear on the market. But bro...... whats with the CK/Knipex drivers????? Gotta have the Bahco (formally Irazola). Honestly, you'll never look back!
and yes, lockoff is essential if kids (or adults with kids' attitudes) are around. I know it's supposed to be essential everywhere, but real world...
I can😢imagine they’ll get any of that boxed in, not when there’s a length of 2x2 trunking on the wall opposite. I’m not sure if the lack of socket la was down to the electrician or the customer but my money would be in the customer.
4:32 Your tracking camera was doing a bit of a show for the ladies....
2:20 step 1, clean window above door.
Good stuff Nick. No Ansell gloves?
Im only 2 minutes in but im thinking why not wither come straight off the board either in a new circuit or as a spur direct off the breaker. And then using existing trunking and either round the room or into ceiling and then drop down. .....im sure the next few mins will show me why this will be a stupid comment 😂
Great vid! Looking forward to the big red tool reveal 😜
Hey Nick have you tried any of the Quickwire stuff? It's a game changer with the new 24A power stuff.
Lol. Has it got that desperate at Quickwire HQ? 😂
12 month beard update video?
Fire rated clips only over an escape route son, and I hope you'll be using metal plugs otherwise it's an even bigger waste of money
Good video 👍 can I just ask if I missed you doing the nb100kgiveaway ? Thanks
Toolstation trunking...... can't stand it. Univolt or Marhall Tufflex ain't much dearer anymore
Looks like the builder did the plumbing too. Speedfit under floors, but copper exposed down the walls, council job or amateur hour?
yes [to both]
Any reason why the camera switches to mirror mode sometimes?
New camera man ???
And tested the circuit...cough cough...okay Nick.
