- This is one thing I have wanted for a long time a new updated Madbull but Tamiya have never done one so I have made my own. This started as just a normal DT03 chassis a DT03T a better choice but could not get a chassis set for that. I have used a normal Madbull body, it fits but needs a lot of careful cutting.
This video is for 14 years old and older. These Rc vehicles are dangerous as there are fast moving parts and hot parts that can burn.
Great idea and conversion. Thanks for showing all the details. It's a good instruction video👏👍
Thank you, I wanted a more modern Madbull and the DT-03 the perfect chassis and sorts the steering issues 🙂
@@BasBoyRC For the front hubs I would have thought about buying the originals from the Lunch Box. I had these aluminiums on this car, the same issues on installing them and after one crash one was seriously bended. Now the originals are back again. But this is just my mind and experience.
@@RCBirds I did try and get the right ones, but for some reason they are going for a lot of money. After one crash you bent them, I have been lucky as so far no issues.
That is a really cool build Malcom i had my mad bull out yesterday i bet this one is going to handle much better than the original
We will see, one thing the steering is much more positive.
Brilliant Mal. I've been looking forward to this. Your work on the body is excellent and I really like the paint job.
Thanks Del, I'm glad you liked the work put into the body. It took a long time and was scary if it would work. But they are cheap and now have another to make at sometime, just need to think of a theme.
Wow, Mal, I watched this with keen interest! I love your creation, Tamiya should make these! What a faff with the front axles, but well done for persevering. The finished body is awesome in that colour scheme. I might just have to copy you one day and build my own Madbull 2! Cheers, mate! :o)
Easy for Tamiya to produce, but they could put any body on they like. I had to make this as I have said on a few video comments it was needed.
Great jb it came out and looks awesome!! Lots of fiddling around but in the end it sure paid off!
Thanks Steve, It was a lot of work but very fun. But I have said for ages that Tamiya needed to produce the perfect Madbull and I hope this is it 🙂
Painted body looks great!
Thank You.
Wow. Your Mad Bull 2 looks great.
Thanks it did come out well.
Amazing idea! Looks great would love to see a running video of it
Videos have been done look on channel.
Thats an awesome conversion/build. Great video.
Thank You 🙂
Looks great, really nice custom build 👍
A lot of work but it was a lot of fun 🙂Glad you like it.
Fantastic mate. I look forward to seeing it run too
Thanks Tib's, been wanting to do this for a long time :-) and the run is soon.
Awesome
Reminds me of my grasshopper v2 i used to have, build is looking great dude 😀👍👍👍oh and love what you done with the body 👌👌👍👍
The Madbull is a very slightly modified Grasshopper 2 body.
Great build and information, looks awesome
Thanks, It was nice I could get the original body to fit.
Did this with a DT - 03 chassis and the Grasshopper 2 Black Edition body and decals with orange Blitzer Beetle wheels and avanti comical back tires. Then i found this video with this amazing creation you did here and she looks awesome hehe. Think im gunna call mine the not so Mad Bull cuz smaller wheels.
Yours sounds really good, with the comical tyres and Blitzer wheels. You could call it the "Mad Blitzer"
@@BasBoyRC Yeah haha now we have better Madbulls because the DT - 03 chassis is great and its kinda like the Aqroshot which means the gearbox is good with the bigger wheels right :)
@@shelly6482 It does solve the steering slop that the original had. If you want slightly stiffer handling I can recommend the sway bar hopup.
@@BasBoyRC Yeah the red and blue stabilizer set and the lightweight gearbox shafts the hollow ones. But like you said before Hop Ups can kinda suck sometimes. So for me it has to atleast do something better and not just look good because it gets expensive. Running the Tamiya superstock TZ motor and they are heavier than the siver cans so the stabilizer set helps keep the arse up for better ground clearance.
This is a great build, thanks for posting this one
Thanks, nice to do a one off 🙂
@@BasBoyRC when you have a vision and go with it, the best!!!!
Hi where did you buy the wheels the build looks awesome.
Looking forward to the running video of it.
I got them off eBay, they are from a Wild Willy 2.They are the same wheels and tyres just chrome finish over the normal stock yellow.
They should make a mad Bull 2 but still make the mad Bull.
The Madbull has been out so long and sells well. It would not hurt them to do a newer one. But it's a car that people love or hate for some reason.
What front hubs do I need to order to make this it's awesome
Just buy the front axles from DT03T, they are longer then on the stock DT03 or just use the DT03T Aqroshot chassis.
