Steel Hawg - Indiana Beach - June 2009

This off-ride video highlights Steel Hawg, the compact prototype coaster, manufactured by S&S and opened at Indiana Beach in Monticello, Indiana in 2006. At one time, Steel Hawg had the steepest drop on any coaster in the world with a first drop taken at a 111-degree angle. Unfortunately, the sky was overcast on the day I recorded this video. This was recorded with a Sony HDR-HC1 and rendered in 60fps and HDR for a smoother, move vivid playback.

Hey, I just rode this past Saturday. First ride after major surgeries to remove a cancerous tumor. Been watching your videos during treatment as well as other people's. I've been posting updates on my socials if anyone wants to see. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner Sean.

Sorry for the late reply, Bill. Thank you for sharing your update. I am sorry you are going through that. I know it has to be tough. I have been dealing with the ramifications of a car accident last month so I have been slow to respond to folks on here. All is better now but I still haven't visited a park this year yet. Looks like a coaster in Japan will be my first of the season. Hopefully your treatments are getting better with each one. If there is anything I can do, let me know.
