I heard and watch the story about the Pied Piper from Disney movie, inspiration horror films such as The Nightmare on Elm Street and the Sinister. I was always wonder the true origin about it and which country exactly. I was also thinking and wonder what happened to the children when the Pied Piper took them away from their parents after not giving him the reward for such a hard work from get it rid of the mice.

I know about this story but I know a version were the parents of the chicken went to the maior angry and after they accused him for their children's desapearince, they beaten him up in the process for being a lier to the person who got rid of the pesky rats. After that they humiliated him in Hamelin's plaza. He couldn't handle the humiliation anymore so he went to find the person with the flute and give him the bag with the gold coins as he promised, as a try to get back the kids. The man with the flute, after seeing the maior's distress cuts and brushes he could only imagine what had happened, when the maior asked him politely to bring the children back, he then asked for forgiveness and gave him the bag with the gold coins. The man with the flute forgave him, he even asked the maior to follow him and they end up in a house in the middle of the woods were he could see all the chicken playing haply on the grass with a little boy and a woman who was expecting a baby, the maior haven't seen this people before. Then the man with the flute, yelled at the boy that he was home and he came to hug him yelling "Yey papa is home" even the woman looked at his direction. The maior soon realised that this woman and child were his family and that was the reason he wanted those gold coins, after that he felt extremely bad for what he had done and started apologizing over and over to the man, but he told him that he had already forgave him. The man with the flute told the maior to go back home and told the people of the town to wait until he arrived with their kids and that's what happened. The man with the flute returned the kids and they lived happily ever after

Call it a guess, but I'd say they probably died of thirst, starvation, accident, and suicide. Then the rats that were led from town consumed their corpses. Bones take 40 years to decompose, so it would be pretty unusual for the search parties to find no bones, but I'm just exploring every possibility here.

Both are said to have whipped up the passions of thousands of people.Their Crusade started by Stephen, a shepherd boy(12 year old ) who was persuaded by a priest that he was appointed by heaven to recover the Holy Sepulchre.But though Nicholas and Stephen were labeled fanatics, their mystical mission to the Holy Land intrigued their followers. They held believers spellbound with sermons, songs and promises of miracles. Nicholas was so enthralling that he’s been called the inspiration for the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.
