$33MILLION SAMOA POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY OPENS AT TAFAIGATA -August 2024

Funded by the People’s Republic of China with financial assistance from the Government of Samoa the Samoa Police, Prisons and Correction Services (SPPCS) Training Academy is finally open for use.
A much anticipated project which was initiated as far back as 2015 and eventually approved for construction in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Finally in 2022 works commenced with the official ground breaking ceremony at Tafaigata.
Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa delivered the keynote address at the official opening of the institution which a pivotal educational facility for training law enforcement agencies in Samoa with plans to eventually if officially approved by the Samoa Qualifications Authority to open its doors to other neighboring Pacific Island countries
