I wasn’t aware this was black metal
LMAO YES
Raw, unfiltered, uncutt.
How do i do that
@slater san click the settings wheel button in the top right, then it will pop up a list and the thing at the top of the list is the quality. Click that, then click advanced at the bottom
I need a whole album like this.
Me too
Try with the song Gehenna by Slipknot the same vibes.
Amazing 🇧🇷
We all need this.
True Widow
i love hardcore but am i the only one who prefers when they do this kind of songs like this one or bleeding in the blur?
i like all of their stuff, this just happens to be one of my favorite songs by them as well
Agreed. Bleeding the Blur was the song that got me into them. Something about the hardcore grunge sound makes them sound awesome.
Same here, I love hardcore and post hardcore stuff. Im just not a fan of screamo. I enjoy rock music for the lyrics and the vibe i get from it lol
I just heard this and thought "maybe this is going to be one of my new favourite bands". Then I heard Bleeding In The Blur and I just didn't like anything about it at all lol. I do love how variable they are though. I just seem to find I either love some of their tunes, or I really don't like them at all. Its probably more a reflection of my own narrowmindedness.
hostia el de first dates xDDD
i want to cry. this is the music i have been dreaming of
If you want to cry just watch Bambi, its way more effective.
You could always make your own. I'd listen to it
Ok drama queen
gay
@@Dismoeyy I might do that with my next Gerrar album
I love how the vocals are low down in the mix and you have to focus to hear them properly. Really adds to the atmosphere of the song. Makes it spooky.
That breakdown is so crunchy I could pour milk on it and eat it.
muh 90's
muh sludgy breakdowns
muh 2010 memes
*sludgedowns*
Nah - 90's bands killed this shit. But it's aight.
Alice In Chains vibes...love it
The aural equivalent of misery and emptiness. Love it.
Still my favorite Code Orange song
When it's time for the reaction to come I don't know
I just stare and pose questions
Until I close my eyes and let pleasantries protect my mind…
But then I hear the animals cry and I know it's just a matter of time
Hypnotized by double lives but I don't know
I can't feel it anymore
Lay your head down
Stay at rest
Never ever, ever let me down again
I wanna believe there's a reason to flee but I can't unsee it
Let me crawl into your stomach
Let me sleep inside your soul
Let me bathe within your water
Let me burn upon your sun
Pretend to be the only one
Lay your head down
Stay at rest
Never ever, ever let me down again
It's like fucked-off shoegaze. Interesting. I'm pumped for the new album!
I think I was literally teleported to a different world when I heard this live. One of the best pieces of music I have heard in a long time..
3:12 A.S.M.R for metalheads !
The Alice In Chains influence is so heavy in this song and I love it. I wouldn't mind Code Orange putting out a grungy EP tbh.
I agree, but will add that I definitely hear some darker Soundgarden in there as well, like "4th of July" styling.
@@TheReptylle dude the 4th of July was such a dark and moody song. That was the real gem on super unknown. It never got any radio play. I’m a hardcore dude have been for two decades now but I contend that “the day I tried to live” is the greatest song ever written. Soundgardens first two albums were unbelievably heavy one the greatest bands of all time
People hears 2 voices one harmonizing and immediately be like "Alice in chains" like bro, don't.
And they did it. Check out their cover of Down in a hole
@@hshiram Really. This reminds me of Shoegaze like Whirr or Ozean. I'm not into Grunge @ all.
90's grunge vibes
Hey they are from my hometown of Pittsburgh, plus what I've heard so far they sound pretty good. Happy to see a local Pittsburgh Band getting so recognition in the music industry. Rock on and keep making Heavy music.
Why do yinzers look imbread
@@bainbridge-he6xp your Mom
Yo philly over here but still pa much love
Love this 90's feel,
first time I was feeling back my 14's hearing a band from now,
and the lyrics are summing it perfectly:
3. Dreams In Inertia
When it’s time for the reaction to come I don’t know

Until I close my eyes and let pleasantries protect my mind…
But then I hear the animals cry and I know it’s just a matter of time

I can’t feel it anymore
I wanna believe there’s a reason to flee but I can’t unsee it

go fuck yourself dickwad
@@mattweaver5591 lmao
People upset about Code Orange's new direction as if Dreams In Inertia hasn't always been a massive fan favorite.
GRUNGECORE
tae smellsbad that sums it up nicely
Psychadelic Grungecore haha
*Sludge
This is grungecore

It's awesome that this video IS NOT in HD.
It was recorded on tape why the fuck would it be HD in the first place?
George Porte
It wouldn't, he/she just likes the fact how non-HD it is
George Porte you can record hd to tape tho... they probably used a vx1000 like all the good skatebois
TEAMSESH
esketiiiit
kinda reminds me of acid bath
Man, can you imagine Alice In Chains doing this song with Layne on vocals?
Jonathan Radnidge Yeah man. Layne would nail the vocals on this song and with effortless power.
Hell yeah.
It would have a completely different vibe though.
I'm tempted to find my inner Layne now and cover this haha!
Art Hazard yes
I’m on that journey on finding the songs that would be playing during a movie about my life. (In my head) and this is one of those songs that is like yup this is a fucking vibe.
Chick rocking an old esp viper ... Definitely down with that
Why do all of Code Orange's videos just look like scenes from the Blair Witch Project?
Because the blair witch is fucking sweet.
FallbackTVProd True, true.
FallbackTVProd correct answer
Not anymore they don't haha
Pennsylvania?
5 years later. This album was/is/and will be a staple and influence in music to come. Nothing was this good or new in rock/metal in 2014. This set a bar. So proud to see a hardcore/metal band get their recognition in today’s limelight. For real. Seeing bands that honestly deserve awards/recognition makes me smile hard. CO deserves every good remark they get.
This is a pretty killer track. I'd listen to more songs like this.
I never really bought into the hype this band generated. A lot of the "too hip to mosh arms crossed" flannel'd/neck beards always sung their praises.
BUT. This is fucking great.
This is still probably one of the best songs out there. That breakdown especially. Sheeesh.
Sheeesh
Though, there may be a grunge influence in this song I would not say there is exactly a "grunge" vibe. It does not do the song or the band justice to say that there is simply a grunge like nature to it. To not create the illusion/restriction that this is merely a grunge song, we should acknowledge there are a lot of influences within this song. This song along with Code Orange (CO) does not fit with the parameters or labels and genres. The only way one could possible define them is by calling them genuine. Without putting "Dream In Interia" and CO into the restraint genre I can call them is different and totally awesome. It is the very motto of "I AM KING." No boundaries, no bias, you are your own king, your ideas are your own, by ridding ones self off all pretense and precedence.
I apologize for some minor errors in my comments.
Harley Robles
you know that you can edit your comments right?
+Alex Magnaus I know there is way but, I don't know how to do it on mobile.
oh fuck up
Grunge isn't even grunge . That was just some corporate label bs from the 90s . It's just doom laden post core . Fuck labels actually . I think it jams .
Remember being 16-17 when this album came out and burying it at one of their shows , this song was alsats so cool on cd In the car on a late night drive
I personally really like this song. I've never heard of this band or there other material but this is great. The verse sounds like a stoner metal song and the chorus sounds very grungy.
Code Orange Kids grew up and became Code Orange Adults aww :') they grow so fast
this was the best code orange era
album of the year right here
That is one of the nastiest breakdowns I ever heard I love it
The bassline in the 'softer' parts is unreal. Lovely sound! Great track!
This is why i love code orange..they throw in every genre of music into their sound..this song has a deep melvins Soundgarden vibe with babes in toyland vocal stylee
Badass music video. TOTH baby
This guys just came out of nowhere, i'm kinda impressed, it has a grunge vibe to it it's like Deftones mixed with Mudhoney .
deftones? youre stretching it bud
+Rogelio Mendoza This song definitely has a deftones vibe to it. None of their other songs do though.
andrea everebody is come from nowhere 😉
+Iamtheantichrist not a single song of deftones gives this vibe. not even deftones like(linus) stuff ,adrenaline.around the fur, and the rest. the tuning is all different these guys vocals are way to weak to match chinos and chi. even deftones song are far more melodic. i dont see the deftones comparison at all
+Rogelio Mendoza yeah the Deftones, buuuuddyyy!!
first time listening to these guys someone please give me some other songs like this
converge, trap them, nails. pretty much anything kurt ballou produces has that grungy hardcore feel.
Especially old Converge, Axe To Fall album
Converge First Light/Last Light for sure
slipknot
Deftones, the album " Around the fur " is kinda similar
I fucking love weezer
VHS is back
Has this ever been used in a horror movie? It would be a literally perfect themesong
Intro sounds kinda like the AHS theme
I've watched y'all grow over the years and I have to say this is fantastic. Great job.
Freakin' Aewsome!!! Can't wait for the record!!
One of the best songs ever
These guys have some sick videos I tell you. Badass
love the 90s look. Sounds really great !
Great young musicians from my hometown. Proud of Pittsburgh. Solid song writing, solid band, solid concept. I love the fact that these guys are crushing it at an early age.
so love this.
this is so beautiful..
theyjust keep getting better...and better...and better
Great song and the video direction is on point.
if only they made more songs like this and bleeding in the blur
I think they heard you, a little bit on Underneath.
Seen them live few days ago! Epic!
man this song is soooo good wow
Can't wait for the album
GENIUS
Excellentissime!
love it!!
Lord, this is amazing.
love this band!!
I know that most of COs fanbase was generated by their heavier stuff, but they should really do more songs like this one. This is pretty sweet
Great song and video, original and powerful.
obsessed with this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back here for some old school Code Orange.
The album is amazing and this song helps. I think it shows the versatility of the band. They are doing great! This song is Awesome.
love that 90s sound!
This is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
very good track!!! insane video, great work.
This is amazing. You guys came through Charleston with Gaza and Full Of Hell back in 2012 and absolutely brought the house down. I loved it and I love this.
Great track!
AMAZING!!!
This song gets me emotional too... IDK what is is about code orange music. Definitely very unique!
Boy, can't wait to see this on 120 minutes!
One of the top bands...especially considering their age. I love this video too
First time I‘ve heard the heavy riffs was in Ghostemane‘s „Some of us may never see the world“ song- amazing he lead me to listening to this. I‘ve listened to some violent music (Rammstein, Angerfist, Burzum, Striborg, etc) and definitely gotta say this is up there.
Reba from Code Orange and Taylor from Superheaven are pretty much the queen and king of "The Ring" style
The best song !
Increibles estos niños, ojalá no se suiciden antes de tiempo y si lo hacen que al menos me dejen buenas canciones como esta ya hechas para escucharlas. En serio muy buena calidad y manejo de instrumentos.
I love this song rn lol. I just discovered it 2021
am I listening to the same band?
I just got done listening to forever and now this. not that its bad its just so drastic
Drink Juice this is the same band. And yeah, the change was drastic af. Forever was a lot more brutal, more metalcore than hardcore stuff, and the band brought a lot more perfection of sound.
All their shit is lit
Forever is just a stand out because the album is a lot more varied in style
Legendary
Sick
this is awesome
énorme quelle découverte merci
love the 70's style of the video
this is so good
Listen to this at 1.5 speed, pretty cool!
+lillington now it sounds like a ceremony song hahaha
This will always be the jam, but can’t wait to hear their new music in 30 mins!!!
So, how disappointed were you?
@@supercoven1392 not disappointed whatsoever. Can’t wait to see them in 2 weeks!!!!
I feel like this would be a good horror soundtrack
i remember the first time i heard this song and saw the video simualtamosly, i was drunk and really high and this song gave me this kind of feeling u cant handle with. Fear pain and the consciousness that everythin is meaningless.. i like that feeling , thank you
this bass is beautiful
90s vibe , bands look cooler with this effect this is how we remember bands we grew up listening to
Simple, heavy and dark, fucking love this song
Code Orange Kids - Hate-Filled Hardcore
Code Orange - Hard Grunge and Pseudo-Beatdown
Pseudo-Beatdown..? The fuck..?
Meaning it has Beatdown qualities but isn't really Beatdown.
Tyler Richardson I love them both!
i don't deserve to read things like this
did you even listen to I am king?
I love the aesthetic of this video
So many people complaining about this song. I just started listening to Code Orange Kids, so I might have a bit less biased point of view. Personally, I really dig the atmosphere, the gritty, dark mood this song creates, regardless of how Code Orange Kids sounded in their previous work. Listening to the first album right now, I can only say I like it as well. It is natural for a band to evolve and it's even more common that a band has 1-2 songs that just stand out compared to the rest of their output.
Cheers
We're the he'll have I been all this time and not known this fucking Awsome band ever wow carnt stop playing them
