I remember playing countless hours on this game when I was little and getting 3 stars on the bridge at most....I never knew you could find gems under other sea creatures. I feel like so much of my time as a child was wasted.
Thank you so much for uploading this - I can't fully explain how comforting it is to hear this part of my younger years after such a big proportion of my life has elapsed.
Norm DeMoss right? I’m a junior in college and so burned out and this made me think of playing treasure mountain and treasure cove when I was in preschool and elementary school :) easier times
This is nostalgic. But I never saw the intro to the game because we had an copy. Wow. My life feels like you added something to me thank you for this video
Dude. I have been looking for this for over a decade now! Thank you so much! This was a favourite of mine when i was a kid, didn’t understand anything but i managed to complete the game somehow😂
I had a visceral reaction to some of the sounds.. brought me straight back to being a young child on our gigantic computer. I remember my friend beat it once and I was so jealous
Wow, that didn't take very long. Imagine the hours I spent playing this as a kid though. I think I managed to at least get the bridge partially completed if that's even part of the game? About that cave at 14:44: I recall depending on the visit there would be different creatures in there. One was a fish or turtle bathing.
About Shark Park, which you can see at 15:44, in the version of the game I played, Shark Park was portrayed with trash on the ocean floor, and as the player moved up in rank, the trash would disappear. What was the significance of this detail?
About the whale seen at 9:08, if one tries to go in it by pressing the Enter key in front of it, Minnie the Minnow will not give a New Player Hint saying, "The whale is not someplace you can go in. It is a way to transition you to the next area after you plug the Goobie Tube Hole with the puffer fish. You will know if something you see is someplace you can go in by the presence of an Enter sign."
This was my jam!!! I was so pissed because i almost completed the bridge by 98 percent and the school year ended so no more computer lab. I want this game as a 38 year old grown man for me and my kids. This and number munchers.
Ah man the memories, takes me back as a kid who knew over 2 decades later I would be rewatching this on a touchscreen tablet called an iPad now. I love the future. Still no flying cars but we are getting close.
omg, I've been trying to remember this game for years. I know it was years ago you posted but thank you so much for uploading. it means so much to my childhood self
Good to finally see the ending. I think I only ever got four stars of the bridge as a kid. In the ship at the beginning, was one of those treasures for each full level completed? I see five in each section of the ship and seem to remember them being obtained separately.
Yes, every single treasure in the ship at the beginning was obtained separately. Every time a player finished all three levels having collected gems, the elves would reward the player with one prize. This ran until one beat the game. To get another treasure, one would have to go through all three levels and collect gems again.
I remember playing this game when I was young. Only the animation was different (more of an 8-bit style) and the story about the Master of Mischief at the beginning was slightly different, too.
The intro seen here has been changed from the original. In the original, the Master of Mischief wanted the goobies (that were made to live under the ocean sands) for his magic, so invented the Goobie Tube to suck them from under the ocean sands into his workshop, accidentally letting the goobies into Treasure Cove. But in this intro, he let the goobies leak out into Treasure Cove. Also, this intro reveals why the puffer fish is hidden as well as why the sea stars only talk in riddles.
About the animated scene at 7:42, when I first saw it I thought the Super Solver was going on a vacation that he won. If that's not what the Super Solver is supposed to be doing in that animated scene, what is it supposed to be if he's not going on a vacation?
17:00 "Oh, no! Here we go again!" Sorry, folks. Seems like Morty got away again. So all the work done by Super Solver Ling, and the elves and their minnow, was all in vain! But for us that's just foreshadowing for Treasure Galaxy!.
in all seriousness im confused did that crazy doctor own the workshop? was it originally a good workshop turned evil? either way was that his bridge he destroyed? did the end of the game kick him out of his own workshop? what is the moral here? freaking loved this game not sure what i learned
The premise of the game was that the crazy doctor had been chased away from Treasure Mountain and didn't want anybody to rebuild the bridge because he had run away to his island workshop and didn't want to get caught. It was not his bridge, that's why the player is being asked to help rebuild it. He jumped into the water to swim away because he knew he was going to get caught, and the shark that is chasing after him is probably one of the sharks who he had assigned the job of guarding a gem so nobody could try to get it back. The shark that was assigned by the crazy doctor to guard a gem chasing the crazy doctor is like how in the Roadrunner cartoon "Zoom and Bored" Wile E. Coyote set up a bottle of bees to sting the Road Runner but they stung Wile E. Coyote instead of the Road Runner.
Not gonna lie, if Super Seeker left the bridge broken... Well then the Master of Mischief would have trapped himself on an island the elves likely had no desire to go to 😅
I know that the first three games in the "Treasure" series received an update to fully-animated intro with all-audio narration and no onscreen text. While Treasure Galaxy was available on CD-ROM, did Treasure Galaxy ever receive an update to fully-animated intro with all-audio narration and no onscreen text?
I played the DOS game as a teen, but this version just seems all wrong to me. I'll take the DOS version over this one any day. I don't know if it's the game, or the recording, but the background music is awful, like playing two single-mono channels together to produce a dual-mono sound, except the left and right are out of time with each other.
I don't think me and my siblings ever finished this game. I think it was eithe rbecause we moved outside of Canada for two years and never got back to playing and finishing. Or the game was rebooted and we had to start all over again.. So much Nostalgia.. Whatever happened to The Learning Company?
Hey mate do you happen to have the remastered versions of these games? I’m sure I remember the versions that had updated graphics from a few years after this one.
Can someone tell me how to get this game again? I love this game as a child and now that I have children of my own, this will be a wonderful experience for them
Wow the only way I was able to complete this as a kid was that I was a teacher's kid so I could play the game after school. How as this person able to do it in one cycle?! Maybe I missed those extra multiplier gems or something.
He just showed the last cycle. Each of the treasures shown in the ship in the beginning needed three levels to be completed. But it was nice to see the ending finally..
Im looking for a scuba diving game in black and white i used to play in school from 98 to to 2004..u had a flashlight and would have to find stuff .anyone remember it? Know the name?
Super Solver: Well, Morty, looks like your plans have sunk once again. Morty: For now, but I'll be back! (dives into the water) GERONIMOOOOOOOOO!! (suddenly gets chased off by a shark) NO! GET AWAY! I'M NOT A SEAFOOD PLATTER!
Sound hardware...I remember when we got rid of our Gateway 2000 with Windows 98 and the old school Midi Synthesizer and switched out for a Dell Optiplex Workstation with XP Professional and alot of games stopped working, or the Sound/MIDI in them stopped working correctly. Its just a theory but it may very well be true.
Just wondering, about the fact that you had over 200 units of light energy in this round of the game, do you have any tips that can help you get so many light energy units?
Praise these geeks who play and upload these games that I miss so much!
What I love about these games is that I had no fucking clue what was going on and still I rolled with it

I adored this game as a kid!
Mate you mean to tell me the 4 hours I put into this game could be condensed into 20 mins?
Well I had to play the game beforehand and reach all this way before I recorded.
TheReck more like 4 million hours

The only music that I found alright in this version of Treasure Cove was the Cave!
