Can you please make an album review, the whole D-2 album (agustD mixtape) thanks!
please react to 3racha (stray kids rap line) or rm change ft wale 🙏🏻
Definitely continue the trilogy with J-hope’s ‘Ego’ (:

J-hope's Outro:Ego
There's a full version to this song! There's a 2nd verse and another chorus before the switch up at the end. Shadow is a very beautiful song. This song also samples the Intro from their album, O!RUL8,2?, such a cool look back to their roots.
yes!!! full version is 💯👌🔥
@@arielle9383 yes!💜
Where? :o
@@danis7223 Spotify!
I was so confused why was it so short! Omg I've never realised this😱😂
Suga is an admirable person, he’s never been ashamed to say publicly that he has suffered form depression and anxiety. He even commented he wanted to study psychology to try to help his fans that are struggling with those problems and use psychology and music to heal. He is amazing
To me, the flow switch at the end was the perspective changing to the Shadow's POV. That outro was Suga's shadow talking to him and telling him that he can't get rid of it and to just accept it.
Yup that's true.. the lyrics say so too🤝💯
This is about his initial conflict with the “rap star” he envisioned himself to be since he was a kid and the “idol” he became. He came to terms that he is both and without the one there isn’t the other. All of Suga/Agust D’s music is so deep with raw emotion, his mouth opens and out flows truth.
Suga is a fucking real amazing artist bruh... 🔥❤️
Agreed bro 🤟🔥
This dude is really good. Never been into their music, but damn.
They’ve got a lot of deep songs like this if you know where to look. There’s a lot more to them than just their radio hits
@@KnoxHill thanks man!
All of the Rap line solos from MOS: 7 remix the intros of their first thee albums. RM Intro: Persona uses Intro: Skool Luv Affair (3rd album), SUGA Interlude: Shadow uses Inrto: O?RUL8,2? (2nd album), and j-hope Outro: Ego uses Intro: 2 Cool 4 Skool (1st album). On top of using the audio remixed the MV's also use images from the original comeback trailers. I recommend watching them, it's so cool seeing how they use their older more hip-hop origins still in their visuals and sound. You can also see how far they have come.

Man I really wish Suga would see your reactions to his music. I love watching you break things down and kinda opening our eyes to things that slipped past us (I’m speaking as Army). Anyway thx for this vid 💜💜👏🏼
Maybe one day 🙏
THIS!💜
"Why are the videos never just simple" Knox my man welcome to the group ...been asking that question for 6 years and yet to find the answer
Haha facts bro
The instrumental to this is so wild. One of the best Suga has produced along with Autumn Leaves imo. Definitely check out the full song bro, second verse lyrics hit hard 🔥 Thanks man!
Love the instrumental
Your song is going better and better maan👍👍👍success for u...and i love your deep thinking about every BTS songs, i love the boys so much in every side, their apperance, their personality, their songs and everything
Been hoping for more BTS! I’ll never forgive them for cutting out his second verse here haha. Check it out on your own if you can, flow is great and it’s important to the overall message. Just like RM he’s talking from different perspectives in this one, his shadow and himself 💜 Your comments were incredible as ever! Thank you!
Knox Hill I’m going thru this gold mine too these boys can spit
I highly recommend the rapper's mixtapes. :)
The ending with the shadow singing to Suga (no matter what you do, I am you and you are me. Nothing can ever change that) is immaculate 🤌
This is one of my favourite songs I listen to all the time! If you haven't done so already, please react to First Love. The most emotional rap song I have ever heard in my life. His rap is so melodic, some fan-made instrumental versions added his rap as piano riff and it just fit, it made so much sense! Anyway, enjoying your channel. Loved the Hamilton event too!
Up
yes plssss
Up
Shadow is one of the most deep songs of SUGA. I love how he talks about the ugly side of fame and his struggles as a famous person. Thnx for your reaction 💜
This isn’t the full song, the second verse was cut off from the mv sadly, but I love the ending when the entire song switched up with the Shadow now singing to Suga
The sign of O!RUL8,2? refers to their second album ever. The trilogy of songs are all sampled from their older songs, which is really cool
Please react to jhope’s Ego after this to complete the trilogy! Congrats on I Need Help btw 💜
suga never disappoints. His dynamism is amazing!
with him, you always get what you see
F*ck yes. Such a hard song. Check out the lyrics too if you have time in your own time! You say Suga’s own AK47 type flow, and the second verse this cuts out is that AK47 on speed haha, and so powerful! THANK YOU KNOX!
Thanks Knox! I see the end like his shadow taking over and taking over the song…‘yeah you are me and I am you. We are one body and gunna clash.’ Love how he paints his inner battles. He really has struggled with fame and has a few songs about it. Loved your comments. you should hear the full song definitely 😊
it's crazy how awesome this song is... the mv doesn't even show the full song. it's brilliant. i love how the 3 layers of "self" (persona, shadow, and ego) were written and performed by the member who would give the best representation of these songs. 💜 i love your big brain, knox! it's always 🔥 with ya!
Suga's lyricism is just awesome!
Suga delves deep and is very transparent with his mental health journey. You should check out "The Last." I'd LOVE to see your reaction to that.
he already reacted to it. czcams.com/video/V78VFDf10eQ/video.html
Great interpretation and such a great complex song. The imagery and cinematography blows me away and the production is crazy. The asked the 9 top mixing engineers what the hardest to mix song they had and one listed this song. He’s such a crazy writer and producer.
This is my favorite song by any kpop artist and it ranks high on my list for music over all.
He’s talking about how he had these big dreams and strove towards them but the closer he got to the light the larger his shadow grew. It’s not just that the shadow is still with him but it gets worse the more successful he is. The higher he rises the farther he has to fall, the more he has to lose. And it is so powerful when he is looking at himself on stage when the red flashes across the screen and the distortion grows as he repeats those same dreams that he had when he was younger. But now those dreams have become distorted and greedy and it’s like no matter how successful he is, that part of him still wants more. And in the end he just has to accept that both sides are a part of him no matter how he might feel about them. All he can do is accept himself and live one day at a time being the best person he can be whether he is at the top or not.
Obviously I can’t relate to that because I’m in no way famous, but the story telling and the passion he performs this with is so tangible, I love it.
I can't freakin' complain how the word genius and passion incorporates yoongi very well.
The way he says "Please don't let me shine" and then "Don't let me fly" could be a hint towards the fact that the more he climbs up the ladder of fame, the more his shadow grows stronger: "My shadow grows in that blasting stark light". And the way the imagery shows that he's standing on the stage in the lights of fame but only he knows what lies beneath it, the shadow.
This reminds me of something i read somewhere that there was a time Suga had to struggle too much to perform on stage due to anxiety, and this song is the perfect representation of what it might've been for him.
Such a genius you are Suga!
The red wax around the door was from an art installation. I can't remember the name of it, but the wax represented oneself, and the door represented the opportunity you have on the other side. But the wax is too big to go through the door, so you loose yourself as you gain new opportunities
just so you know, the music video version of this song is shorter than the album version. album version has an extra verse and chorus, adds more context
another masterpiece of SUGA
This is my alarm clock , every morning i wake up to this song. I am struggling so often with mental health and this song makes me somewhat not feel alone .
I can't explain how much I love this song! The amount of thought that went into this. There's a certain type of mood I get, and I immediately go and listen to this song. Absolute masterpiece!!
Though, this isn't the complete version.
But thanks Knox for reacting💜
This is one of my favourite songs. It's deep lyrics are way to complicated for me but I understood a little. The lyrics are one of the reasons that this is my fav songs and his rap, flows, background music everything is just perfect asf.
💜💜 The ‘I wanna be a rapstar’ part is like his greed/ego talking. Love this song
I've been binging all your BTS videos (and some other stuff too!) these last few days and I'm so happy I came across this channel. I'm re-listening to these songs, so many of which are my all time favorites whilst also learning so much more about the musicality and production of all of it. Honestly, started crying after watching this video. It always hits me but something about this makes it hit more.
The fact that he's not afraid to show his raw and vulnerable self through his lyrics is literally the strongest and bravest thing.
I LOVE THIS SONG. Please listen to the whole song as this version cuts out the second verse. Even if you don’t react to the whole song please listen to it because I feel like that verse is important too. Thank you for this reaction 💜
The lyrics of this song make me sooo confident the best song for me
You're so smart😮
I'll follow you
This was THE song I've been waiting to hear your thoughts on and you did not disappoint! I'm so glad you appreciated the "pause" bit with the music cut off bc that rly made me love the song immediately. The MV definitely has a lot more references and easter eggs, but you def caught the gist of the message pretty well!
Suga is another level. I really love him and his music.
Thanks so much bro! Amazing comments on an amazing song. Would you also consider doing the full lyrics too, that missing verse is powerful and completes his message properly. Their whole Map of the Soul album series was really meaningful to me. Especially about facing and accepting those parts of you (Shadow) you unconsciously hide. To hear Suga go into depth about how he struggles with fame and mental health is really inspiring to me. Just like you and your music. I Need Help is one of your best songs 100%!
u need to run a ted talk series on BTS music or something lol or a professor in a university breaking down music
The grungy part looks like, his shadow that has consumed him and became a monster(we can see him rapping in raspy voice) is telling him that we both are same(his body and the shadow) hence "you are me" and "I am you"...it looks like his shadow is asking him to kinda admit or get used to the fame and spotlights and in the end we see him(his body) getting lost in shadows(fame etc)
You have to react to First Love by SUGA. That one is intense and is produced so well too. You'll be speechless. Suga's music just make you like that.
YESSS!! One of my absolute faves of Sugas I am so so excited
They speaking about mental health and real struggles. That is probably the main reason I am an ARMY. They go through those struggles and work hard despite struggling, physically, emotionally, psychologically, financially, personally. Every way possible and they are here for us.
I’m on a rewatch binge because I have post halftime show withdrawal symptoms 😭 You should definitely check out their new webtoon ost! The promo mv is pretty cool as a fantasy/anime lover, and you might be interested in the story itself. Would do the lyrics separately though as it’s not the full song 💜
I just love suga , a legend and a king 👑💜💜💜
great video! love your reactions. I just wanna add that when the mirror breaks it appears two personas: suga and yoongi, idol and his true himself, at the end he got to make peace with this new reality and in a way separate himself from his ego for his own mental health, because suga and agust d at final are sides of his own persona and the results of his youth dreams....
Knox, this is not the full song, this is just the trailer. There’s more to it if you listen to the album version ☺️
Next is EGO 💜
Thank you SOOO much Knox! I've been hoping for more BTS. Are you going to go back into the BU too and do them more regular again? Hope so because I've watched Shadow 100s of times and yet I always take away a new perspective after watching your breakdowns. You have a gift! Borahae and congrats on the new song, it's beautiful 💜💜
I got chills everytime I listen to that song
One of the best songs yoongi has made. Totally a masterpiece but sadly, the MV cut off the second verse.
That missing verse has one of my favourite lines of all time in..."Do you get it now? That every 'very best' is the very best". Damn that hit me so hard when I first heard it
BTS's Jungian Psychology phase, their Love Yourself phase, Wings era, the Most Beautiful Moment in Life phase...the quality 😌
Great analysis as always, i can't even consider you as a reactor but as a reviewer. Also I recommend you to listen to change by RM and Wale, it's in full english so you'll have a better understanding of lyrics.
I was so excited to wake up to this!! One of my absolute favourite's from Suga, along with First Love. I remember how I felt the first time I watched this mv, I wasn't in the best headspace then and really felt the inner struggles part, trying not letting your Shadow consume you. I love his lyricism and I hope you can also do the full lyrics for the next one Knox, flow is 🔥Thank you for more BTS, we are super appreciative of the work you put in and always in awe of your analysis. He's been really open outside of songs too into his issues with fame, he wanted to make music and be successful over starving and trying to sell his songs, but sadly the fame that came along with his desires has never been something he found easy. I'm sure one day the boys will get to see the amazing work you put into their songs!
KNOX I hit like Before I even watch the video because I know that you’re going too do a great job like always.. much love brother.. from MIAMI 305..
Hey dude this is just the trailer for the song fyi, almost half the song is missing here. Still great comments but the bit missed shows more of the shadow talking. Hope you’ll do the lyrics too! Love your intro song btw!
Knox, I've been waiting a long time for you to react to this specific song, because i knew you would love it. I actually have a playlist where i added Interlude:Shadow and your own song, Rock Star, i feel like they go well together. Thank you for reacting :)
I just discovered you a few days ago, first with Tom Macdonald, then I realized you have BTS reactions. I just binged watched all your BTS videos, and you absolutely blew me away. I have never seen someone go so deep and nail BTS videos. You are so unique and knowledgeable. I had to subscribe to you...as an ARMY and a HOG fan. You are truly amazing. Plus, I saw that you said in a video that you have twins. I have b/g twins. Mine will be 10yo next month. Keep up the great work. I can't wait until your next video.
I think one of the most similar songs to this imo is NF- Nate. But instead we start with the fear second in this part
Thanks for blessing my night with this one, Knox, and also I truly loved the new intro with the movie cut from "I Need Help". Congrats, man, you deserve that bloom!
Yes the brighter the spotlight the darker and bigger the shadow beneath our feet.
Great reaction! More BTS please...unravel those meanings 😊
Thank you so much for your analysis!!! This is an incredible song truly reflecting on SUGA's amazing talent!!! I honestly think he is a genius!!!! Every song he makes is just top level in every way!!!💜💜💜
The long wait is over! Glad you reacted to this
Love the videos! Thank you for doing such detailed & intricate breakdowns!
The emotions are running parallel. The shadow, his self not seen, and his public persona.
In the end the two sides of him accept each other and he is at peace.
Thats the theory of Karl Jung, on which the concept of MOTS 7 is based.
yo your reactions are really good!!! I wanted you to react to his entire mixtape D-2 I love to hear your pov
Hey! There’s a new BTS song out if you’re interested in reacting to it! It’s called ‘Stay Alive’, vocals by Jungkook and produced by Suga 😊 Gorgeous song and great lyrics! It’s all related to their webtoon story but I’m sure you’d pick up on so much musically that we might not 💜
YES FINALLY!!! I have been waiting for this reaction. This is one of my fave tracks from BTS and made Suga my ultimate bias wrecker.
Ah awesome reaction. This song got me deep into BTS. I hadn't quite grasped the intro/interlude/outro /trailers concepts and did not Watch them at first. I got a shock with Shadow and Serendipity. Ah could you do "Born Singer" and "Hip Hop Lover" both by BTS? Awesome perfs, but no MVs. Love your videos. I think you would love "People" and "So far Away" both by Agust D. RM's "Do You" and "Seoul"! Ah I'm stuck on the Wings Album right now (going slowly through the albums in order) and I can' t get over J-Hope's "Hey Mama", but after Person and Shadow, Ego is the next step.
Knox has actually already reacted to Hip Hop Lover and Born Singer (lyric videos) in one of his lives! They’re in the video entitled “BTS Live: Ddaeng, Cypher pt 4, You Decide” and seriously, watching his eyes go wide at all the name drops in Hip Hop Lover is like the best thing ever!
Your reactions are the best! You really understand their thought process and what they are trying to say. I also really love that you take the time to break down the lyrics, instrumentals, camera work, and take into account the video/ lyric meanings.
Oh my gosh Knox, buddy, I’ve been wanting you to see this one for so long!! When the boys were working on these, They each sampled songs from their older albums. So good!
So for the red around the door frame it's in reference to an artwork svayambh by anish kapoor shows how moving forward means evolving and leaving something of yourself behind.
Also a fun tidbit when Yoongi has the white jacket on you'll see on his left shoulder bluetape it's in reference to his injured shoulder he got when working a delivery job. It had been causing him a lot of pain for years but in 2020 he finally got surgery for it.
Pay attention to how he says "I wanna be THE TOP" and not "I wanna be AT THE top"
Knox don’t overwork yourself 💜 I feel like you’d really have loved the verse this misses out. Maybe the lyrics for another day. Thanks for this. I hope you are back to doing BTS again, we’ve missed you! Borahae!
Yay! Thanks so much Knox! Tried my best to comment about the full version on the last vid haha but you mustn’t have seen it. I love the visuals so much, like when after escaping the corridor with his shadows, he ends up pulled back in. Please could you do the full version too? The second verse is so important, but if you’d rather check it out on your own that’s cool ☺️💜
Great reaction and analysis Knox! You're always so spot on!! And you were wondering about the imagery and the doors and the red stuff on the walls. There is a plastic artist, who made that kind of art, and he said that we as a person have to cut ourselves and shape ourselves in order to fit in society (the door) leaving behind parts of our essence.
Can't wait to see you next time!
Didn't want to pester with a dm on Patreon haha, so here to boost the algo and let you know about BTS' new song, but others have beaten me to it xD. It's a really beautiful song, Suga did great with the production (in my non-professional opinion lol) and I do think you'd enjoy the lyrics, but they relate to their ongoing Webtoon story 7Fates:Chakho (hoping they make a full anime). Like the others said, there is a promo mv with cool visuals, but it isn't the full song so recommend both for better context. A suggestion anyway! Enjoy the Super Bowl later Knox 💜
Yea, basically a commentary on how he's internally divided on what he is and has become. At first his whole self wanted fame and being recognized by his artistry (white Suga). But then he achieved it and all that came with it. He got scared that Suga (his persona) would overtake himself (Min Yoongi) for being, as you said, under the microscope all the time. Black Suga is his shadow. He still wants fame and recognition and doing what he loves regardless of the consequences. He's grown stronger and bigger because of all the light cast on white Suga. Suga is split in 2, wanting to do what he loves (music) but afraid of fame changing him. In the end, when the shadow says "I am you and you are me", it means that white Suga and black Suga are just 2 parts of the same person and Suga must face his fears and accept the consequences of his choice to pursue his dream to become whole.
Fortunately fame hasn't changed BTS much, they're still adorable and very devoted to artistry, music and their fan base. It's amazing how humble they still are.
The stuff on the walls is most likely inspired by British Indian sculptor Anish Kapoor‘s installation art called “Svayambh” - which in Sanskrit means “self-made” or “auto-generated”of an art exhibition where a giant block of red wax was pushed through the doors and walls of the museum. Basically, it had to continuously shred itself in order to fit into the space, or took the form of each door that it passed through. As MOTS7 was released alongside Connect BTS, a worldwide sponsoring of major art exhibits all over the world, using a reference to this in the MV was really meaningful. And the subject of the song also really fits with what the artist was trying to portray. I LOVE this song.
Yesss was waiting for this one thank you Knox 🙏💜
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE YOU FIRST REACTED TO BTS! THANK YOU KNOX! I'm so hype for this! 🦄
Your knowledge of music is on another level! I listen to "Shadow" like 1000 times, but this is the first time i listen with second ear and saw there is lots of thing i didn't notice/understund.
I really really love this song and your interpretation was perfect! Their whole Map of The Soul series was like attending a course haha. I do think you'd appreciate the full version of this even more as that second verse is intense. Thank you Knox! Also, Patreon is a great community to be a part of, lots more reactions there!
I've been waiting for this!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting on that Tom and Acal song...and as well upchuch on his rapping shit...people's champ...much love and respect
Haha meeee too❤️ Knox breaks it down in detail ....
been waiting for this knox!!! love your videos
Thanks so much for the great reaction and analysis Knox!! 💜 SUGA once said that what is ordinary to us is extraordinary to them.. As celebrities, you are right, everything they do or say have been and will always be put under a microscope. Their company has in-house therapist i believe and provide their artists counselling. Some, if not most, of the entertainment companies put so much pressure on their artists, especially when a project is about to come out (preparations, promotions etc) Some fans and netizens do not view them as humans too. BTS are artists with such high emotional intelligence and are very resilient. As an ARMY, I am glad BTS members are getting help and support they need for their well-being.
Thank you for another BTS reaction💜It’s mindblowing how you nail every song of their’s with such ease😳Looking forward to more BTS stuff🤗And your song is 🔝🔝🔝
Hi Knox! Can you react to Stay Alive released today by Jungkook (produced by Suga)?? Could you do the full lyrics and the promotional mv if you do! Would love to hear your thoughts 💜💜💜
Finallyyyyyy! I was waiting for this reaction sooo long!
I LOVE THIS ONE 💕💕 your reaction's on point as usually ✌🏻
Yeeeeees! I was waiting for this 😭😭😭❤️❤️
I love your reaction 💖 This song is amazing!
I really appreciate you listening to BTS, your reactions kinda always help me to motivate me again. Thank you:) ❤️
