Did a full playthrough of Doom, Doom2, TNT and Plutonia in it when I learned about it during the early 2020s big C. Awesome runs tbh.
Same. I actually really hate TNT personally, but with Hideous Destructor I find it to be an incredibly fun time, all things considered. The slower, more tactical pace of Hideous Destructor makes any schlocky, trashy 90's Doom map into an incredibly fun time in my opinion.
My brainrot for HD is so bad that it's gotten to the point that I do playthroughs of jokewads like Mock 2 and Wooo 1 and 2 with it. Highly recommend giving it a try sometime; Wooo2 and Killing Adventure are both... kiiiiiind??? of playable with it. The Archives Are Doomed: Gold Edition (or the more hilariously titled tardgold.wad) also works very well, but some maps will slow your device to absolute zero due to the amount of monsters.

ALSO incredibly fucking hard challenging game do not open or play unless you're ACTUALLY really good at Item Management, performing under pressure, and ability to think outside of the box or like putting puzzles together. every map is a symphony of movement strats, traps, and positional awareness and when it all clicks it's the most satisfying thing in any shooter it puts all of your skills to work from aiming to preperations, ...
With enough wads, you can even get a whole new game with the price of one. Still... I wonder how your wad lists now.
Well, I've migrated to a master build of Hideous Destructor that was compiled about 2 weeks ago, the master build of Ugly as Sin from a similar time period. Roughly it's all the same, but because of the version change I don't have the PB addon weapons (The WT5E shotgun and Duke 44, as well as the fire axe), but I do have Bryan's modern Hideous Destructor weapons in it's place.
I have some more recent videos that show what it looks like closer to now, the only major change from my current install that I don't have videos for is the wound system. Hideous Destructor now uses a cool square hitbox thing for wounds and you can now do field surgery for combat trauma instead of just bandaging or medkitting everything. It's suuuuuuuper fucking fun and I look forward to uploading more videos about it soon.
I'm actually really surprised anyone is even *watching* these to begin with, I kinda just upload this shit to show friends on discord in conversations.

@@donovanmorris8130 The shotgun you're referring to is the regular Doom shotgun, the Tootsie Toy pump shotgun.
The SPAS-12 that user is referring to is the name of the anime girl on the hud, SPAS-12 from Girls' Frontline.
Why is the ADS messed up? I know it’s in the doom engine but if you can make your head go up and down then why can’t you ADS?
It's not messed up, that's how it's supposed to work. The sights are your crosshair just like they are IRL.

@@user-kw6pf3be1k That's what I meant too. Those are your sights. It's not messed up, it's working as intended. They jiggle like that because that's closer to how your aim would if you were diving and sliding around.

I've thought about making an install or portable out of box thing to give friends and for my own archival purposes, but to be frank I cannot be fucked to figure out how to make one wad load a bunch of others in a specific load order, and ZDL has handled loading for everything just fine. Plus, it's just SOOOOOOOOOO many fucking wads, and so many of them are tied to specific versions of other wads that I just cannot be assed to bother.
@@lainamitclaire All you have to do is rar up your folder. Everything is running out of a single folder, correct? Rar it up and post it. You could also screenshot your ZDL.

I use to watch these fort Knox videos on how to play and he does like 8 man incursions into skme wads. Seems like alot of fun. This game and stalker I've literally had on my oc and play, for over 10 yrs now

1) Get ZDL or any GZDoom Launcher of your choice
2) Make a zip with all the wads you intend to use, and send them to your friend(s).
3) Pray to the internet gods, you will feel any and all ping desyncs
4) ????
5) PROFIT!

If you have zandronum, you can download the wads by connecting to the server which is nice but they get downloaded to a weird folder is hard to find sometimes. I would always just connect to Clusterfuck 4.0 , or Nexus, or God complex to get the current wads xD
I'll upload some gameplay from my super modded version of HD and maybe put it on Zandronum or make a folder, you should do the same if you have time! This gameplay looks good xD
I usually run Ugly as Sin , and tons of weapons mods I love like the weapons that have extra features. Like there's a pistol from Hellsing you can "attach' blue potions to, to turn it into a hand cannon
