The thing that always a amazes me about Kolbe isn’t how incredibly fast and nimble he is but how fearless he is in defence (on top of his attacking prowess). Despite often being the smallest player on the field, he races as hard and fast into any tackle the same as he does when sprinting for the try line. An incredible athlete.

I had a brief opportunity to join a local Rugby team in Syria in 2008 , I was just a bulky soccer player, I didn't know what Rugby is at the time, looking at those videos I wish I gave it a shot, looks amazing fun and much more athletic than any other sport I've seen

As a long time Stormers fan I watched him burst onto the scene at Western Province, he was always brilliant and had the best step I had ever seen, but he had a lot of weaknesses especially under the highball and tackling one on one, but he has matured over the past couple years to be one of the best wingers on the planet.
The likes of Meyer and de Villiers said he was too small for 15s
I think they definitely brought him into the mix at the right time!! Always been a great player, but now he is a very mature player too!
